Monte Kiffin resigns from USC

Gruden calling?
|
Yeah, its gotta be a chucky comeback.
|
Even he got tired of Lane.
73 years old next year and looking to get back into the NFL? |
Hope not, I need Gruden at Tennessee. A man can dream...
|
Not sure if want

If we hired Gruden and he got Kiffin, doesn't that mean goodbye to the 3-4?
|
Gonna be awkward at xmas...
|
Do not want. It doesn't make sense here anyway. This defense would be a bitch to convert to a tampa two.
|
His brat offspring should go too.

I wouldn't be a fan of that combo coming here.

HAHAHAHHAH
That is all USC fans. That will do. That will do. |

Give me a break. Gruden > Cowher. |

I really don't give a **** if we switch schemes to be honest.
It's not like we have some beastly 3-4 system installed with all this awesome chemistry. |
I dont get why guys like this are still around. it's like he's keeping some coaching secret from all the other coaches that have worked under him

We need 2 badass DL to make the 3-4 work anyway so I'm fine with switching to the Tampa 2 and finding 2 OLB instead. Probably easier to find to be honest. |

Cowher would make this defense borderline elite overnight with the pieces we have and the offense would be respectable with Geno Smith and these pieces. Gruden would make the offense better, but would be turning over half the defense. Again. |
I'm still a fan of staying with the 34, but not the prehistoric version we seem to run.
Romeo's version is well suited to pair with an offense that puts up points. It slows offenses down, but doesn't necessarily stop them until red zone time it seems then holds for field goals. It's a great defense to pair with a Tom Brady offense. |

Houston would be fine, he played DE at Georgia. And Hali is fine at DE, ignore 2008. |

We have none. |

I think Poe would be a pretty good fit in an attacking 1 gap scheme, with his strength.
Sheldon Richardson wouldn't be a bad pick in this draft. |

At least Gruden had success with two teams. You know he's gonna come here and make us respectable at least. Cowher? How do you know he can recapture what he did in Pitt? You don't. You also don't know if he's truly committed to a pass-first offense. **** Bill Cowher. |

My mom kissed his mom once.
True story. My mom sat next oldlady Kiffin at the 1971 Game of the century in Oklahoma. Last offensive play of the game for OU was a interception in the endzone that sealed the game for NU. My mom leaned over & kissed Monte's mom on the cheek & said give that to Monte for me. |

How many players were on his first superbowl team that were still there for his last one? |

WTF makes you think he's capable of running a quality offense or will draft a real QB? Funny that the Bucs finally did that when he got fired LMAO |

If Gruden were to draft a qb, he would take Barkley. He is a WCO guy.
|
I wonder if kiffin would run the under. It's essentially what Gus Bradley runs in Seattle, and Bradley is a kiffin disciple.
If they run the under, that's an interesting scheme and kc almost has the personnel to run it. |

Smart money is on WE DON'T because they are all shitty so far. |

I really can't though. :( |

I'd rather have Andy Reed than Gruden.

Quote:
They don't put pressure on the QB. Period. Do I need to cite PPF ratings? Jesus Christ, dude. Shaun Smith is garbage off the street. The ONLY GUY on this roster with potential in this area is Poe. |
I would rather have Andy Griffith than Gruden

I guess he could fire his father after all.

Gruden would likely have two Super Bowls with two teams if it were not for Tom Brady's bullshit tuck rule.
He is the antithesis of "Martyball" Cowher and his bullshit chin mustache conservative ways. |

Smith and Pitituvdfafgc have both shown the ability to push the pocket, too. |
Quote:
They have shown NOTHING, so you prognosticating them as some kind of solution is total bullshit. You've been pimping Bailey since he was drafted and he has done absolutely jack shit in the NFL. |
Quote:
Idiots on here wanted Romeo, and tried to tell me he was a better coach. ROFL |
Quote:

Jeff Fisher wasn't NEARLY as conservative as The Chin was in Pittsburgh.
He had a top 10 passing offense several times and actually hired an OC because he wanted to throw the ball down the field more. Remember HE didn't want Vince Young. The owner did. |

Pat Haden has given him the dreaded "Vote of Confidence" but the Boosters want Lane fired, regardless. They feel like they hired the wrong guy in Kiffen and should have hired Sarkisian. |
Quote:
I'm not gonna complain if Cowher is hired but Gruden is a better option. We need an offensive coach, not a conservaderp. |

I personally am thankful for Romeo. Hes allowing us to possibly do what no chiefs team in history has done before: Draft a QB 1st overall |
Quote:
Re-sign Dorsey for a year and throw him in the middle in the Casey Hampton role and I think that 3 man DL could be pretty good. |

Come on. |

Why do you think he got by with shitty QBs the whole time? If we bring in Chucky, we are gonna do one of two things: 1) Draft Barkley at first overall 2) Draft a defensive player first overall and a QB in the second or third. The guy passed on Aaron Rodgers for Cadillac Williams in 2005. Think about that for a second. With Cohwer, at least we have a shot at taking Geno. |
I dont care if we get Cowher or Gruden really. Just one of them. We only have 1 true good Dlineman. Poe. He's shown flashes and done impactful things. He's shown he can put pressure on the QB too
|
This was the pre-draft report on Bailey. Big shock that he sucks at rushing the passer.

Cowher knows he needs a franchise QB. Thats why he had issues with the Steeler front office. He wanted one and got Ben

Gilberry could get to the QB and what did that get him? Free agency. |
