Tis! Tis!

Titty Meat 12-12-2012 03:37 PM

The 53:00 mark is really really juicy. If true wow just wow.

Mr. Flopnuts 12-12-2012 03:38 PM

I'm at 35 minutes Bo. STFU.

durtyrute 12-12-2012 03:39 PM

Mr. Flopnuts 12-12-2012 03:43 PM

Nick and I are right on point when it comes to the head coach preference, btw.

Chief_For_Life58 12-12-2012 03:43 PM

just tell us peeps who dont wana waste their lives listening to the whole thing the interesting stuff said

Mr. Flopnuts 12-12-2012 03:45 PM

Seriously though. Who the **** knows who to draft if you don't go QB? There isn't ANYONE there that just screams out to pick him. What I don't like, is this thought that there isn't a guy in the top 5 at QB. That shit has been discussed over and over again here, but it's bullshit. It's the fallout of there not being another Luck in this draft.

Mr. Flopnuts 12-12-2012 03:51 PM

ROFL And at the 47 minute mark the show lives up to it's name...

RunKC 12-12-2012 03:52 PM

Man this is so disheartening. Nobody in the NFL wants to work with Scott Pioli and that shows it.

If Pioli comes back, it's either RAC, Ferentz or McD coaching this team next year.

December 31st is gonna be the most important date in franchise history to date. Clark has to make the move.

Mr. Flopnuts 12-12-2012 03:55 PM

Oh, **** this nonsense. "No one's worth it." Bullshit. Who else has this guy said he supported and didn't support in the top of the 1st round in the last 10 years.

details people, details!

Mr. Flopnuts 12-12-2012 03:59 PM

WOW? Expected. No surprise. He knows better than probably anyone. I'll spill it. Todd Haley texted Nick the night Peter King came out with the "Pioli tried to talk Belcher down" piece and said "The sick **** is trying to spin this too". It's ****ing accurate.

Dante84 12-12-2012 04:00 PM

Basically says that Haley texted Nick Wright the night after Peter King's story about Pioli trying to talk Belcher out of killing himself.

Haley's text to Nick Wright: "This sick **** is trying to spin even this!"

I understood that the text came in the night BEFORE Peter King's story. I could be wrong though.

I ****ing HOPE we never hear from Pioli again...

That he was trying to spin it to gain positive press for himself. I would suggest listening to this podcast from last week on their website with Kent Babb. It was ****ing gold, and Kent really gave some insight about Scooter, that Nick kind of "touched" (SEE WHAT I DID THERE) at the end of the show. It was good stuff.

This one gets the Flopnuts stamp of approval as of right now.

Dayze 12-12-2012 04:17 PM

Nick doesn't like any of the qB's at number one. Haley texted Nick saying he can't believe Pioli tried to make himself look good through the Belcher thing. Those were the only things that stuck out

Wowza, there's some juicy stuff in there.

As much smoke, shit, and vitriol as there is in the fanbase, the media, etc towards Scott, that alone makes me think there isn't any way Scott is brought back.

The Chiefs organization is vodoo right now with this guy at the helm.

I'm actually more sure right now, even with what I've heard from a few sources previously, that this whole staff is let go.

There really isn't anyway you bring them back at this point.

I don't believe a thing. The MO of the Chiefs is to exactly the wrong thing at any given time. The fact Clark hasn't said a word, even one of those noncommittal "votes of confidence" for anyone on the staff along with the Belcher thing makes me think they'll all be back unless they go voluntarily.

To be honest, I think it goes the other way.

I think the fact that he hasn't come out and said anything, means more that they are all gone.

From my perspective, Clark absolutely is furious and wants so hard to build a winner here.

Things are about to change.

Carolina's already fired their GM; why doesn't Clark announce that Pioli's tenure ends effective Week 17?

@bobfescoe: Pioli was very active in the past at trying to and locking up soon to be free agents. So far this season, crickets.maybe its a sign #chiefs

I don't know but that makes you think Clark may have?

O.city 12-12-2012 11:05 PM

I'd would absolutely recommend if you haven't, go back and listen to Kent Babb's podcast.

O.city 12-12-2012 11:13 PM

Scott Pioli will not be the GM in KC next year.

Mother****erJones 12-12-2012 11:13 PM

I've wondered about the Fescoe tweet too. Could be a sign. Or Pioli wants to rid the past regime of most of its players except flowers and charles

Mother****erJones 12-12-2012 11:14 PM

Pioli is gone. Clark can't sell tickets with him.

This is the most comforting thing.

Even if you wanna say Clark is all about money. He's a business man, all he cares about is making money.

Bringing back Scott doesn't make money, it's a bad business decision. Clark isn't in to making bad business decisions, ESPECIALLY, making the same bad decision again.

Yep. Whitlock nailed this one from the start. We all flamed him for it, but in fairness, we didn't get to participate in the dinner. Holy shit.

Nick was pretty noncommittal. It was one of the hosts that was going on and on about no top 5 worthy QB, and not being sold on Geno. Nick sounded like he thought we should do something to get a 1st round QB.

Here's something nobody has thought of yet, or maybe they have and just haven't posted it...

How do we know Mark Donovan isn't talking to Clark on a daily basis, telling him all the nasty things Pioli is doing?

Chiefs PR reports up through DONOVAN, not Pioli.

Pioli is making the entire team look bad and Donovan has to deal with it more often than not.

I believe he was referring to Clark when talking about Donovan.

Saying as much as he screwed up the Pioli hire, he did nail the Donovan hire.

I listened to that podcast last night (great stuff), and I didn't realize how bad it was. I read arrowhead anxiety and all that but right from the start with that dinner story it's been bad.

That was some damning stuff. I don't think Pioli will ever work in NFL again.

Donovan and Pioli are peers, in terms of the corporate structure.

So basically Pioli has done nothing right in 4 years.

It's hard for me to wrap my head around how much of a failure this guy has been. Usually you have a few things here and there that you can say he has done well, but there is literally nothing.

He's alienated everyone that he works with and alienated the entire fanbase. And I think the majority of the fanbase gives too much leeway when it comes to the Chiefs, but this guy managed to turn everyone against him in just 4 years. Even the casual fans. Incredible, really.

Everyone keeps asking how Daboll and Crennel still have jobs. Maybe because this whole staff is tied to Pioli's hip and they are riding into the sunset together. I could see this more likely than this regime coming back for a 2013 rerun. We KC fans are a rightfully cynical bunch, I tell you.

To add: In a season this dismal there is always a scapegoat fired; hell, Cam Cameron was fired from the playoff-bound Ravens. No one has been fired from the Chiefs. Adios ****ers!

the Talking Can 12-13-2012 08:51 AM

welp, it's just depressing that a franchise could be taken over by one guy this way

shutting down the foundations, not allowing players to promote themselves in the community or via media outlets, installing a regime of surveillance and fear...taking the fun out of everything for everyone

incalculable damage in 4 years...and every player and coach in the league knows it...what a miserable asshole

They're not coming back.

Teams fire individual pieces mid-season because they still have HOPE for said season.

There is no hope for this team until next season, so nobody will be fired until this season is over.

I don't think Carolina fired their GM to salvage this season. They just wanted it done. I think the reason for our wait is because the whole thing is going into a dumpster and lit on fire.

O.city 12-13-2012 09:03 AM

If someone, say Daboll, were fired a few weeks ago, then we might have a problem.

The fact taht no one has been released yet is a pretty damning thing for this regime. There is about to be an absolute axe fall on it.

And from what I've heard, the people in the organization love Marc Donovan and he's gonna be here for a long time. Those I've talked to think, once Pioli and his antics are gone, Donovan can have the fans back to where we were in the Chiefs "prime" years, very quickly.

These guys are all tied to Pioli. If you fire one, you have to fire them all. Therefor, wait it out, do your due diligence behind the scenes so that when you do fire them, you have your next plan in place.

Clark Hunt may be alot of things. But stupid isn't one of them.

Carolina fired their GM to appease Cam Newton - it wasn't directly tied to salvaging THIS season but it was an "immediate" reaction as opposed to something they were doing for the "future".

In regards to the fanbase and whether this has been irreparable damage, I don't think so. And this is gonna go back to Mark Donovan and how good he is at his job, but if you fire this football side regime this offseason, bring in a big name coach, draft a QB first overall, this city will absolutely go back to being the full on ravenous fanbase that it desperately wants to be.

Put a winner on the field and this city will be there in droves. It's nuts about its sports teams.

This is something that Pioli has pissed down his leg on. The city wants to feel like its part of the team. Thats what made the 90's so special. Like previously mentioned, the fanbase felt it had a direct hand in winning and losing and took losing personal. It doesn't take much for that to happen, access to the team wise. But completely turning them off to the fans has turned the fanbase against them, which in this town is harder to do than putting a winner on the field.
