At what temperature do you complain about it being too cold?
Also...where were you raised?
Me...San Diego 50 degrees. |
Too cold, anything below 30 degrees. I wear shorts if it is 50 degrees or warmer.
Born and raised in Montana. |
Windchills below zero.
Coyote country |
It depends on the wind. Hell 20 is ok if it's sunny and no wind.

30 maybe. It's relative, I guess. If it's been 25 for a week 32 feels warm.

Maybe it was just mental. Felt like the clouds gave you insulation or something. |
Which foot?

One of my favorite parts of living in Colorado was going snow shoeing on cold, sunny days. It would be in the 30s, and I'd be down to my t -shirt and bibs by the end of the day. Amazing what exertion cans do.

Sun and cold minus wind: fine. I know what you mean on those cold clear windy days though. Experienced many on the mountain. Those were the days my wife estates at home or in the lodge. |

I don't complain about anything because complaining is for pussies.

Single digits. And yes, the wind chill is a huge factor. I live in Minneapolis, but I'm a transplant from Indiana. The lifers here can be pretty hardcore about winter. It makes a big difference though if you dress for the weather which I didn't always do before I moved here.

We don't have wind chill.

Nice place though. |
55 or below is very cold for me. That's pretty much the coldest it ever gets in Sydney. Wind does make a difference though. If there's no wind but its cold I dont mind nearly as much.
|
How is downtown San Diego? Last time I was there it closed up shop at about 10 PM every night. For fun we messed with the hookers/pimps, drug dealers and other assorted street people.

Anything below 0 is too damn cold.
Apart from that, though, it's just a matter of adjusting. It took me a couple days to get used to daily highs of single digits, but now they're no big deal. The best is when you get several days of -10 and below. Then you get a heat wave of single digits above 0. It feels like a goddamn bathhouse outside, and you feel invincible, like you don't even need your coat. Of course, then it warms back up in the summer, in which people turn back into pussies when it's 50 degrees in the morning during the summer. |

Man. That was between 1985 and 1988 or so. I would hope it's changed. |

50 is still a bit too cold for me though. Hell, anything below 65... GAH!! |

Teens
|
Of course, I've only been in Florida for 6 weeks.
In a year, 60 will feel chilly. |

It's not the icicles dangling from your ass, it's the humidity.
SEK. And my cold threshold is around 40 degrees. I prefer heat and sun and white beaches and deep blue ocean waves and blond, green-eyed, surfer chicks with proportionate tittahs emerging from the breakers as the sunlight glistens off the beads of water running down their breasts like rare diamonds. FAX |
low 40's and im from Central cali. WE can get into the teens' at times, but once it hits the 30's its cold.
|
Anything less than 40. 40-55 is perfect hoodie weather though. Not cold enough from keeping me outside.....but cold enough to wear a hoodie.
|
I prefer something above 39 but 39 can feel like 20 with a brisk wind and a little moisture. It's all relative. Are you walking to the car or working outside all day?

I'll take cold weather over 115 in the summer any time though. |

Single digits although if it's windy anything below freezing.... and Kansas.
|
I'm cool enough on my own.

I honestly dont get too cold. Its never bothered me. And I work out in it mostly, so no big deal.
|
Low single digits or below is when it starts to suck.
|
Anything below 30 tends to affect my decision making about going out or staying inside.
|
I'm fine all the way down to 0 unless it is windy then around 20.
|
I don't really complain about the cold. I don't really enjoy it when it's below freezing, but aside from that...whatever.
Heat bugs the shit out of me. I start whining about the heat any time it gets above 85 or so. |

Texas would be waaaaay too ****ing hot

Usually 20. However just the other day it was 19 out and I was putting gas in the car with no coat and wasn't cold. Wasn't windy and the sun did help.
|
I am by far the biggest wimp around when it comes to cold. Anything below 72 is cold to me.
|
I don't like anything below 55.

I don't generally complain about it being too cold. I tend to hate when it gets hot. I can always bundle up. But there's a limit to how much I can take off. It's a mixed blessing though, it's much harder to exercise outdoors in the winter. The cooler temperature helps, of course, but wearing an extra 10 pounds of clothes in addition to the normal 15 pounds of fall and winter fat I always seem to find makes it a bit more of a challenge to jog any distance.

I don't really get bother by the cold. No matter the weather, I'm in shorts & a hoodie. All the hockey I've played I suppose.

Anything under 40 is cold for me. I grew up in Seattle. Anything under 30 is uncomfortably cold.

20. Reared in Northern Mo.

St. Helen's freezes >People in MN rent some videos >100 Below >Santa Claus abandons the North Pole >Minnesotans get frustrated because they can't thaw the keg >297 Below >Microbial life no longer survives on dairy products >Cows in MN complain about farmers with cold hands >460 Below >All atomic motion stops (absolute zero on the Kelvin Scale) >People in MN start saying "cold nuff for ya?" >500 Below >Hell freezes over >The Minnesota Vikings win the Super Bowl . and thanks for starting other threads to take our minds off of the other issues of the day |
Grew up in NJ and lived in CA and Toronto for a while.
