Dirk Koetter to interview for Chiefs HC job
:hmmm:
@FOXSports.com has learned #Falcons OC Dirk Koetter set to interview this week 4 HC jobs with #Eagles, #Chiefs & #Browns. Story coming ASAP https://twitter.com/alexmarvez/statu...05589970419714 |
Was linked to the KU job before Weis got it.
|
**** NO! Take it from me. **** NO!
|
this is to fill our rooney rule right? ( i dont know what this guy looks like )
|
Clark can't be this stupid.

If THIS is Clark's idea of taking charge and building excitement, then we're all screwed.
|
works with dimitroff...willing to save pioli's job
worst of all worlds |
****
we are ****ed **** |
Is he bringing Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Roddy White and Tony G with him?

Oh for all that is holy. reeruns could run this organization better.
|
He's done a great job with Atlanta's offense this year, I'll give him that. They have become a pass oriented team. Of course Julio Jones and Roddy White are beasts, so there's that.
|
Koetter has an impressive resume and John Elway was so impressed he almost hired him over John Fox.
|
As long as he just interviews, then fine. Next!

Pioli connection: worked with Pioli's buddy, Dimitrioff, in Atlanta. Bad sign... |

We should be celebrating today for Scott Pioli getting fired, but no we can't have to wait another day. Maybe? |
Oh JFC.
**** EVERYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH THE AIDSTRIOTS TREE! |
He interviewed with Denver the year we hired John Fox.
|
@SaveOurChiefs
Falcons OC Dirk Koetter is an early interview candidate for the #Chiefs job. I know Dirk personally from his days as HC @ AZ State. (CONT) @SaveOurChiefs Great teacher, works well w/QB mechanics, play calling was good, has enjoyed success in the NFL. Not sure he is ready for NFL HC yet |

You're losing me, Clark.
Fire Pioli and I won't care. But you're doing that thing again where you're searching out for guys connected to guys to make yourself feel better about keeping your buddy on board. I'm going to give you a chance to fire Pioli. Just ****ing do it. Hiring Dirk Koetter is not a substitution. It's an insult. |
An exciting day is turning into a nightmare.
|
I'd chill out on this and not jump to conclusions. Dirk won't get the job. But all teams do due dilligence when hiring a HC and interview a lot of guys just like we interviewed Jack Del Rio last year.
#whoops |
DO NOT consider this move, or you will faceplant and be curbstomped simultaneously.
|
**** no.
The Falcons should have been raping teams all year long.....and they weren't because of his shit play calling. |
Clark has given strong indications with his public statement that the next HC will have GM-type powers.
Does anyone rationally think Dick Koetter can fit that description? I sure as hell don't. |
That should build excitement

13-3 wasn't impressive enough for you? |
This hire would definitely say pioli stays. ****!
|
Okay someone run some analytics on his playcalling splits.
Overall Run/Pass ratio first, second, third, fourth down Run/Pass %? Avg. pass attempt distance THANKSINADVANCEEEEE!!11111 |
I posted this in another thread, but...
Ignore whether you think he would be a good HC for a minute. Who the **** does he want as a GM? Let's also forget for a moment about the Dimitroff-Pioli connection. Who is the GM? Just an example of why hiring a HC first is a mistake. |

though. |
Sad face.

His GM will be Scooter Pioli because this is Dimitroff hooking up his boy Fat Scott
for those of you that cant tell lol |
I'm guessing with the Falcons having a successful year teams will interview him if for nothing more than to see how their operation is run and what kind of a guy Koetter is. Buzz is he's a good interview. But he doesn't on the surface fit what either the Browns or Chiefs are publicly claiming that they are looking for...

This move would definitely boost season ticket sales - said no one ever.

This is another patriots leaf off the dying tree/.
I realize some want to believe with all their hearts that he's gone, but this move screams Scott Pioli. |

I went to their first game in person. So answer my question now: is 13-3 not impressive enough for you? |

I must be missing something |
Falcons have the week off, time for him to get some interviews in. Nothing wrong with looking for a large range of prospects.
|
Quote:
and this is the exact same thing a turd stain coach from Arizona that got a OC job in the NFL and was able to coast on ALL WORLD TALENT on offense to land him an interview |

any new hire can't ever have worked for the Patriots any new hire can't ever have worked for somebody that has ever worked for the Patriots. :doh!: and no, i'm not saying i want Koetter ... just trying to wrap my mind around all the crazy bullshit around this place. |
Thomas Dimitroff and Scott Pioli are pretty big somebodies in their little Browns/Patriots club though lol
|
He's only spent one season in Atlanta.
Where is the Tree connection? Not interested in the guy, regardless. |
Any team with the weapons the Falcons have should have a good offense. Hell, even Daballess could succeed with that.

In with Laz and his "nothing has happened unless it's reported by 40 people and I've seen it happen" blab.
|
Scott Pioli only has 3 numbers in his contacts
1. Father in Law 2. Bill Belichick 3. Tommy Dimitroff that's all his connections in the NFL. That's it |
Quote:
Oh. Well, hopefully one day we can also "go about" winning 13 games and having a QB with a 32-14 td/int ratio. Not impressive for you obviously, but your standards are higher. |

If Koetter, who is the GM? |

Normally I wouldn't give a shit and would just look at the coach for what he could be. Not while Scott still has a job, though. Not now. |
I don't think he would be a bad interview. I have to believe that's all he is going to be at this time. There is no way after Haley and Romeo that Clark can bring in another less then exciting hire.
