That picture is worth a thousand words, or in Andy's case, millions of dollars. I'm not a big time Reid fan, but I'm a huge fan of what Clark is trying to accomplish here and who Reid is going to bring in staff-wise.
I'm sure my opinion of Reid is going to change very quickly here. I don't think I"ve been this excited for an off season in quite some time. |

He also stole the show in Inglourious Basterds. |
Anybody else read where Jason LaConfora says Reid may go young on his staff, perhaps no Shurmer or Castillo. Will be more hands on with the offense.

I just want to remind everyone that almost everyone was just about as excited when the Chiefs signed Pioli as they are now.

Someone needs to make an "I am the Walrus" Beatles motif with Reid. |
I'm cautiously optimistic, about Andy Reid, but I have my reservations. Clearly, he's a major upgrade over the last two HC's. In that regard this is a huge win. He's a coach that values the QB position; also another major plus. We'll see what happens, but I'm pumped. I'm excited to see Clark go out there and get the guy that most regarded as the #1 prospect.
|
I just received a written transcript of a portion of the negotiations in Philly last night. It is as follows:

I don't know if this has been mentioned, probably a million times but just in case...........
Last sticking point was.......Reid wasn't going to finalize and sign the deal until Pioli was fired because of the language in Pioli's contract that he had control of player personnel. |
Quote:
Clark could not hire Reid without Pioli signing off on it. Pioli had control of all football moves in his deal. Reid had nothing to do with that aspect. Pioli would have easily sued Clark for a breach of contract which would have resulted in a lot more than the money he was owed. That was the concern. |

Apparently Tom Heckert cancelled his GM interview with the Jets. Wonder if that says anything...
|
Radio guy telling me they are waiting on the GM/Player personnel decision to be made this weekend. They can just have one big presser. What's your guy say Bad Guy?

I do agree that it'll be a one shot presser. Won't be multiple ones. |

I don't think you should just asking. |
I know everyone is waiting on Rivera and his meeting with Richardson tomorrow to determine if he will be a option to be the DC soon but a name being thrown around a lot today that is a very strong possibility to be the DC is Monte Kiffin.
Remember Kiffin just left his sons staff at USC and the prevailing feeling is he wants one last shot in the NFL before he retires. Last time Reid had great defenses is when he had another old coordinator calling the shots in Johnson. My only question with Kiffin is isn't he a master mind of a the Tampa 2? I know we ran it under Herm but would we go back to that? |
Cassel gets cut on Tuesday.

Also thinking about how this is the second time in a row that Clark has landed what was considered to be the Top guy available for the position that he was trying to fill. He obviously does not **** around when it comes to hiring the guy that he wants running his franchise. Thank You Clark. I'm very happy to have you as an owner. You have proven that you will do what is necessary to turn this team into a winner. |

I know we should temper excitement but **** it its been nothing but gloom and doom
|
When do we start hearing about staff additions? After the announcement of the new GM?
|
So does anyone know if Cassel has fled KC wrapped tightly in a dark cloak under a moonless night sky? Or does he think he's still going to play here next season?
