Another jerky personal story about Pioli

This came from an ArrowheadPride commenter.

I was an intern with the video department working during the training camp Pioli’s first year. Pioli grabbed me in the waiting area of MCI and told me I needed to clean up. That I wasn’t a player and if I wanted to be a part of this organization I would have to clean up. He told me no more than that. No specific areas to work on. Just slapped my shoulder and said ‘Ok, son.’

I was managing all the content from training camp while making about 2 bucks an hour and worked 107 hours in 9 days as an intern without an actually employee overseeing. When I got back to the office my supervisor said I looked more than fine, besides I was wearing a tie, dress shoes, and slacks.

I would later meet Dallas Pioli randomly. One of the few things she said was, I hope your experiences with Scott were pleasant. And then the wife of Scott apologized.

Sometimes ego gets in the way. Scott if you want to be a part of this organization… wait you are no longer needed. Best of luck elsewhere.

Ray Farmer is calling Pioli to his office.

BigMeatballDave 01-05-2013 04:46 PM

Have any players tweeted out anything about Pioli leaving?

if this dude wants to continue in the NFL he's going to have to wake up and really change his character and approach to the game/organizations and drop the ego

Basically young employees don't like to be told what to do by their bosses.

I was thinking the same thing, and if his wife knows he's a rigid asshole. That's pretty ****ed that his wife has to apologize for him because of he's a control freak.

Fat Scott should take his own advice about "cleaning up" and looking professional...

It's like, when your mom spanks you for using your teeth while you still breast feed.
Pioli disciplined this young intern

Rain Man 01-05-2013 05:49 PM

I bet the kid went 2-14 in video editing.

Marcellus 01-05-2013 05:51 PM

I am having a real hard time giving a shit. This is about a 1 on the dickhead Richter scale.

Hootie 01-05-2013 05:52 PM

I don't have a problem with this. I can't tell you how many times I came in on a Saturday after binge drinking on a Friday when I used to wait tables to have the managers tell me to leave and shave...and I made $2 an hour too! (plus tips)

I have no issue with management issuing a "shaving" policy and I assume that this is what that was over.

Hammock Parties 01-05-2013 05:52 PM

Why is Pioli even talking to video interns? That's the point of this. This kid had nothing to do with building a football team. Yet Pioli felt the need to give him shit for not wearing a three piece suit or something stupid.

Chapter 37 in Pioli, The Asshole Chronicles.

1) It shows Fat Scott's misplaced priorities.

2) If you as the GM are going to preach a professional look in the organization you better lead by example and not show up in a t-shirt and sweatpants for a local TV interview.

Mother****erJones 01-05-2013 05:59 PM

Jesus Christ Scott get new ****ing glasses :bang:

CoMoChief 01-05-2013 06:17 PM

This is different than coming into work hungover.

At work, your bosses, co-workers, customers see your smelly drunk hungover'd ass and yes it can look very bad depending the situation.

Pioli was letting his ego getting in a shot on someone that probably looks just like any other passenger/customer waiting at the airport, and most likely nobody in KC would be able to tell that he was with the Chiefs organization. It wasn't a player, a coach, or someone in the front office that could possibly be recognized and would need to set a good example by at least making a good appearance for the organization you work for.

It'd be like (insert famous rock music artist) to tell his stage lighting manager to wear a suit while traveling to their next gig.....just ****ing stupid shit...just like the candy wrapper bullshit. Pioli's the type of guy that would make a drive from KC to STL and wouldn't make it to Columbia because he'd be pulled over to the side of the road because he hears a ticking noise (luggage rattling around) over the sound of his car stereo, and he has to fix that noise or else it's going to drive him insane.

Hootie 01-05-2013 06:19 PM

hey, he's gone

good!

but I've worked with many bosses who are ASSHOLES...a lot of them I have liked, and just realized..."hey, this guy is an asshole. Stay out of his way when he's in his asshole mode."

but that's just me, Mr. Adaptable

mcaj22 01-05-2013 06:32 PM

i think most of you are missing another point

the guy was an intern, probably for a college credit, and they had him log 107 hours in ___ days, and the dude actually ****ing put in the work, only for Pioli to come along and slight him, that is deflating for an intern who is logging that many hours for nothing

WITH NO EMPLOYEE OVERSIGHT. So again, his point is, hes an intern, doing all this work, with minimal structure overseeing in that span, and Scott Pioli's priority was to come knock this kid about his look and not commend him for his WORK ETHIC AND DEDICATION.

that's the problem. and this person clearly carries it with them the rest of their life as, a work experience under the Fat Don Pioli

Scott Pioli tee shirt tucked in his pants... Not that Pioli needed any help looking like a bald, fat, prick, but tucking-in a t-shirt makes him look like a giant douchebag, as well. And sorry to offend, because I'm sure that there are posters here that do it too, but it just makes you look like a giant, ridiculous, douchebag. Anyone under 40, and any cool people over 40, are talking behind your back at you if they see you with your t-shirt tucked in. It's a t-shirt for gods-sake, loosen up a little bit. Relax, live a little, people don't think you're a slacker or a stoner if your t-shirt is untucked, they just don't think you're a giant d-bag. That's all.

Dylan 01-05-2013 08:10 PM

who in their right mind would hire him?

FAX 01-05-2013 08:12 PM

There was this one time when Pioli ate a kid. Just ate him. No warning. Like an orc, man.

Then, when the kid's mom asked where the kid was, Pioli just burped right in front of her and waddled away.
