2013 PFF Free Agency Tracker

Quote:
RB Mike Goodson WR Greg Jennings G Andy Levitre S Jairus Byrd CB Sam Shields DE/DT Steve McLendon (if we go 1-gap this guy would be a nice pickup) There are a LOT of good safeties hitting FA this year so we should be able to sign someone to complement Berry. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blo...gent-safeties/ Former Eagles Reid might sign: Sheldon Brown + this list https://www.profootballfocus.com/blo...elphia-eagles/ |
I'll take....
Jared Cook, TE Sean Smith, CB Jairus Byrd, S |
Greg Jennings, please.

Somebody said Byrd was already locked up.
|
I think we need to be looking at guards.
Jeff Allen was bad and shouldn't be gifted the starter spot. |
That's the good news about this offseason. Once the front office is in place, there is a lot of money to fix the numerous holes on this team through FA. Plus we won't have nearly the amount of swings and misses that Pioli did.
|
If we couldn't get Byrd, I wouldn't mind seeing Willy Mo come back to Missouri.
|
DRC is an UFA. I didn't pay any attention to him this year, but it is realistic to think Reid may go after him to fill a starting CB spot?
|
Quote:
Berry & Willy Mo? Yes please. Have a feeling he'll resign w/Atlanta tho... |

But to expect him to excel in his first season, with shit coaching, after playing tackle in college, is pretty silly. He'll be fine, just like Branden Albert was fine. |
Ill take Jairus Byrd or Dashon Goldson, thanks.
|
Byrd or Moore
Delanie Walker Osi |
Pass rushers and then when you think you got one, grab another! Yes, even with Hali and Houston, we need more.
But that's just me. |

rating high but everyone around here insisted he sucks so is it PFF or Lilja that sucks? |
Quote:
that alone should have elevated his talent and made him a better player when the guys to his left and right are playing at such a high level. And it didnt. He was ****ing horrible. |
Quote:
|
Juan Castillo should improve the oline, greatly.
|
Quote:
There is no way he can start next year uncontested. |
Quote:
This idea that he was "horrible" is a myth. He definitely needs to improve and I wouldn't have a problem with them bringing in a guard to compete. Upgrading that position is about 7th on my priority list. EDIT: And it's not a shock he ended the season on a down note after showing improvement mid-season. He got better when Lilja moved to center and go worse when Stephenson replaced Albert. It's not rocket surgery. |
So would you guys not target Maclin, he's WAY down the list, actually worse than Dex.
|
how is it a myth when he was dog shit
and Lilja retired and we can possibly lose Albert so at least, there will be 1 to 2 openings on the offensive line for competition. You almost have to bring a veteran in at that point. If there's one thing Andy Reid loves it's offensive lineman, he will build the line his way and he will waste tons of draft picks on doing it. So we will find out sooner or later if Jeff Allen truly sucks, because Andy Reid certainly wont give him a free pass to develop, the Scott 'Team-killer' Pioli way |
If Reid goes FA at this early stage he will be looking bookend OT. Somebody at the top of their game about 26-27 years old and try to lock him up for five years.

But not King Dunlap.

What does Dex have, 3? |
I believe his first move in Philly was Jon Runyan in FA from TEN before the McNabb pick but it's been long enough ago that I don't remember the timing.

Give Albert a contract extension and he has his bookends. Problem solved. |
Quote:
Dex couldnt shine Maclins shoes. |
Just saying if we are going by PFF only, we don't want Maclin.
And no, Dex sucks, don't want him either. |
Donaldson did a good job to until he seem to wear out after starting for awhile.
Hopefully it was just fatigue because he wasn't used to playing so much. He's a viable swing tackle and extra tackle for power formations |
Quote:
people just pull shit out of their ass, i swear. Dex is a viable slot WR who should complete for time but i wouldn't be surprise to see him pretty productive in a real offense. He should be good for 60/500 a year. |
Quote:
And what has he done to make you think he'll be productive? |
Holy shiite, that is the worst list of QBs I have ever seen. Hope we aren't getting one from there.
|

Quote:
He doesn't have size, speed or hands. He hasn't caught one single pass down the field in his NFL career. He needs to GTFO and be replaced by someone who can actually make plays. |
Quote:
You saw the games...the vast majority of his receptions go NOWHERE. |
Quote:
|
Seems like a poor FA class this year especially for QB.
|
Quote:
Now if you want to make the case that in an Andy Reid system he can have some success out of the backfield on screens/quick hitches/etc in open space, then i could get behind that... but when he goes downfield, how many times have we seen him either drop it or have it knocked loose by bigger db's? I've said all along that this is the kind of coach he needs to play for, so i do envision some level of success for him here, but it sure as hell isnt in the slot or at any other receiver position. |
I do think a new QB will open the field up for whoever plays the slot, defenses can't play a 12-15 yard box around the offense.
|
Quote:
|
need to draft Barrett Jones 2nd rd...guy can play every Oline position.
|
Quote:
He got owned in the last 3 games. |
Quote:
How was he the 4 games before that? Look, I'm not saying he's GOOD. He's also not dog shit. The world isn't black and white. |

We absolutely should sign a FA. |
Quote:
I agree he had a poor season. As a rookie, changing from OT in college to OG in the pros, and playing on a line that was in flux all season, he was NOT "dog shit" however. I also don't have a problem with bringing in free agents. This whole discussion started with me not wanting to DRAFT a guard. |

Greg Jennings or Mike Wallace would be awesome. Wouldnt mind Terrence Newman either.
|
KC Needs: QB, OL, WR, DL, ILB, CB, S

What do you guys think about Reggie Bush if he's cut from Miami?
I'd love to bring in/resign Bowe, Albert, Bush, Ellerbe, Shields |
Kenny Phillips or William Moore would be amazing.
|
I would love to have Moore and that would move Berry to FS, which I would prefer.
|
Quote:
QB aside, this offense needs a serious infusion of speed and playmakers. He's gotta be getting pretty old though, isn't he? I'd prefer not to overpay, like I'm sure someone will. |
Bush is 27. I can't say I'd be upset with Bush, Charles, Draughn/Gray at RB.
|
not a chance Ellerbe gets away from King Ozzie in Ravensville.
|
Quote:
|
I don't think Ellerbe would get away, but if he did, I'd love to have him paired with DJ.
|
It would be nice to atleast come out of the offseason with free agents who aren't complete bargain buys like we are used too.
|
Quote:
don't know what ellerbe would go for, but another solid get... |
Signing a free agent guard? Doubt it.
Mike Wallace and Sam Shields would be the 2 on my list. This team needs a burner WR desperately. Anyone who pays Jennings is just asking for trouble. |
Bush Ellerbe and Shields would be a fan****ingtastic free agency haul, IMO.
Bush and Charles as 1a and 1b, Hali, Houston, DJ, Ellerbe Shields, Berry, Flowers and draft FS |
Why do we want Bush? I don't want my backup RB to be very similar to my starter.
|
Quote:
|
TBH, I'd like to have someone who could basically be interchangeable at SS and FS. I'd like to have a guy, like Berry, who could potentially do both.
I really like Thomas, the safety prospect, in this draft as a 3rd rounder. |
Berry isnt moving to another safety position guys.
|
Quote:
When the Eagles were rumored to be enamored with Berry, it was as a FS. |
Wallace is going to command #1 WR money and he's not worth that. The smart move would be to sign Maclin who can give you 80-90% of Wallace's production at less than half the price.
I want no part of William Moore. Another thought re: Ellerbe: how many guys leave teams like Baltimore via FA and actually end up being as good as they appeared to be when they were there? |
