Dear DaFace,
On Monday, Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt formally introduced Andy Reid as the new Head Coach of your Kansas City Chiefs. The unparalleled support from fans like you was key to Andy joining the team.

“The fan base here is phenomenal,” Coach Reid added. “There is nothing like the Sea of Red.”

told them update the database. i bought yesterday

Dartgod 01-11-2013 11:07 AM

Had season tickets for 21 years and didn't renew 3 years ago. Never heard a peep from the Chiefs.

I know several people who cancelled after only 1 or 2 years and they're contacted all the time wanting them back.

ptlyon 01-11-2013 11:33 AM

Just got another one ha ha

Sounds like you left quite an impression. Just how obnoxious were you during those 21 years?

No shit, its funny how the ticket sales guys - you know the straight out of college almost minium wage workers get the most shit on.

ndws 01-11-2013 11:41 AM

they already sent me a Together is Powerful booklet with all my renewal info in the back of it. Serious business this year.

But yet, the times I've tried calling, it always goes to VM.

I did break a seat after we lost to the Raiders to knock us out of the playoffs when that POS "kickoff specialist" Jon Baker couldn't keep the ball in bounds on kickoffs. :banghead: :cuss:

But did you take it with you?

1ChiefsDan 01-11-2013 11:58 AM

My email was from Tyler Kirby too. Had to go to the trash bin to check the name.

No job, live in Denver, no season tix at this time. :(

This.

I always went to 2 (depending on health/finances 1) game per year.

I'm not spending next year.

4 years of pissing down my back isn't erased by 2 weeks of coach speak on the radio...

Way too early to make such a decision. I know waiting might mean higher costs in a few years, but the money saved in the next year or so should offset those costs.

If they want me back as a STH, they're going to need to make sure they're entertaining on and off the field. So they absolutely need to have the stars align and start getting wins, but I also need to see, and I mean "see," emotion and passion. I know some people are reserved by their very nature, but others are the polar opposite. So I want to see the passion pouring out on the field, the sideline, the weight room, and OTAs.

But NOT Eric Winston! That fat-lipped piece of disgusting rhinoceroses shit can keep his stupid ****ing mouth shut, bags packed, and nose to the grindstone until the cab arrives to take him anywhere but here...

REDHOTGTO 01-15-2013 08:39 AM

had'em for 13 years quit in 06, finally heard from them in 08 as to why i quit ! i told him point blank what you're putting on the field sucks and i'm tired of spending good money for a crap show ! i've only done 1 game since then, donkey game this year, nuttin changed yet still same crap. wont rebuy till they show me something great

tomahawk kid 01-15-2013 09:57 AM

My family had tickets for 20 years. We finally didn't renew last season.

Couldn't take the losing, but also there just wasn't a connection to the team anymore. We felt like the only reason Pioli and Co wanted us at the stadium was to squeeze every nickel and dime out of us they could.

Also, and I don't mean to sound like a stick in the mud, there's alot of idiots out there on Gameday.

Showing up for a bad game and then having to avoid 2-3 fights to get back to our car got VERY old after awhile.

Well that'll never change even if they start to win... But it feels better if you're poor but they actually win.

Yes - VERY true. Also if you feel connected, it makes a huge difference as well.

Did I also mention the idiots? :)

There will always be idiots, but I expect that the IPSM to change when tickets have more value and are not just dispersed to anyone. I only went to one game last year and avoided two fights on the way out of the stadium and watched another in the parking lot at the Drury Inn 15 minutes later. The tempers are always out and about after a loss, or multiple losses in our case.

You did... There were far fewer in the 2003 season. There must be some correlation. But alas, there will always be some. I find winning is the best way to help home-field fans be on their better behavior..

jettio 01-15-2013 11:41 AM

One thing true in the e-mail, some good teams on that schedule.

Yeah, that's why you pick a game or three to go to and deal with living in different seats all the time... Beats paying full price for pre-season games that make ZERO sense to pay for. I'm sure they could spread those two games across the rest of the season, but it's still dumb...

So find those games you really want to see...and pay half the price you'd pay for a full season package for seats in that Primo (yellow-seat!!) section (of your dreams). Someday that'll be impossible, but not any time soon...

Since quitting the whole STH thing, going to only the games I want, shopping around, or even waiting until the scalpers are desperate has saved many thousands of dollars for me. And that's a good thing!
