I know you've all been dying for an update on Jamarcus Russell's return to the NFL

Well, here's Jeff Garcia to tell you all about it.

<script src="http://player.ooyala.com/player.js?embedCode=ZzbHd1OTpUrsDmo1ldTOuHv0CfeD0Tix&deepLinkEmbedCode=ZzbHd1OTpUrsDmo1ldTOuHv0CfeD0 Tix%2CU5Y3d1OTqfAQwZqrOnLT5EH278k7wx-_&video_pcode=V2cmw6evJ3G8Z-8PxzAj4pYbFEYv"></script>

What do we think? Is he fatter than Jared Lorenzen?

Tangeuray 03-05-2013 10:24 PM

I cant believe Jeff Garcia can stand there saying what he's saying with a straight face.

Strongside 03-05-2013 10:26 PM

Biggest bust ever, but damn...dude throws a pretty ball.

Jeff George threw the prettiest and tightest spirals I've ever seen.

Mav 03-05-2013 10:29 PM

such a huge arm. Nothing between the ears, and no accuracy. just a monster arm though.

Al Davis' famous last words.

Did he burn threw all that money already? What a waste of talent.

I think he ate it all

AussieChiefsFan 03-05-2013 10:44 PM

God damn he's huge.

Crush 03-05-2013 10:46 PM

Put him at LT and move Albert to Guard.

wazu 03-05-2013 10:47 PM

Wow. Who is funding this? It can't be him, and nobody on earth could possibly believe in him who isn't being paid to.

Fritz88 03-05-2013 10:48 PM

Holy shit he's fat.

Bump 03-05-2013 10:51 PM

damn he's out of shape. But what if, just IF, somehow he grew up. That ball he throws is pretty as ****. I'd bring him in for the 3rd string unless Tanney beats him out.

Pretty sure he, like Tebow, is undefeated in Arrowhead.

nasty thing to throw out there

KCWolfman 03-05-2013 11:36 PM

"Jamarcus Russell Airs it Out"

Is this a video of Jamarcus having a purple drank?

Chiefaholic 03-05-2013 11:46 PM

What a waste of physical talent. If my memory serves me right, JR could throw a 70 yard spiral on a rope. Unfortunately for him, he was dumb as a box of rocks. Million dollar arm with a ten cent brain.

Ming the Merciless 03-05-2013 11:46 PM

bring him in for a look!

LOL, if he were in the draft, many would agree with you.

What if you stopped smoking weed and made salient points in a coherent way?

Not gonna happen.

Yeah, it was. I really hope that some day I can brag about how great the Chiefs are instead of bitterly listing their failures.

Shogun 03-06-2013 12:16 AM

You know he may have ****ed up and he may be an idiot, but respect to the guy for trying and trying to do it the right way instead of just winging it.

Stad 03-06-2013 12:16 AM

ROFL Holy **** he's big. Such a waste.

If he were trying to do it the right way, he would get in shape first.

bowener 03-06-2013 01:04 AM

They call him Meat.

Dayze 03-06-2013 01:28 AM

I forgot how ****ing strong his arm is.

Xanathol 03-06-2013 01:44 AM

Jamarcus's knock at LSU was decision making and an attitude on the field like Eli ( ex. does he care while he's out there? ). It was a shock to LSU fans that he was taken #1. I said all that to layout that I've been a critic as well... but...

He went to a horrible organization with literally no O-line or WRs ( outside Miller, the TE ), where some players seemed to hate him from day one for his contract alone. The coaches made it clear they didn't draft him, which sure as hell didn't help him get along with the team. And according to the story by Sports Illustrated, he had 11 friends & family die during his stint in Oakland - 11.

I by no means would make the argument that he's an NFL QB, but I will say that any situation would have been better. 'Bust' is oft as much the responsibility of the team as the player.

TimeForWasp 03-06-2013 03:46 AM

He may be a perfect example of a diamond in the rough.

wut

TimeForWasp 03-06-2013 04:18 AM

I guess my imagination was running wild. The only team that has worked with him was the Raiders. Maybe they just ****ed up royal the way they worked with him. Usually busts go to 2nd or 3rd teams before they wash out. I don't give a shit, but he could possibly surprise people.

mcaj22 03-06-2013 04:24 AM

im not defending the guy but we just gave up a 2nd round pick for a QB that also had very similar numbers as Jamarcus his first 3 years

so let that sink in

AdumbGuy 03-06-2013 04:35 AM

I'm rooting for him for purely selfish reasons. Love watching freak of nature athletes and that's easily the strongest arm on a qb I've ever seen.

I remember once watching the dude throw a frozen rope bullet some 30 yards while off balance/falling backwards. His madden arm strength rating should be 8000.

Raiders high draft pick succeeding elsewhere? I hated them in the Marty days, but most days now I just feel bad for them. As bad as we've been, they've been that much worse.

On the other hand, Alex smith scares me mostly because I don't see any chance of having a high powered offense with him. So in that case, yeah, it'd be great to watch as a Chief fan, because at least it'd be a distraction.

KCrockaholic 03-06-2013 05:17 AM

That's cool that he still has some arm strength, and still needs to lose 70lbs, but can he read a playbook.

No, not "can he read a defense". Can he read a playbook?

PA Chiefs 03-06-2013 05:48 AM

2 former #1 one picks sign him

Groves 03-06-2013 08:16 AM

Can't say that the NFL would be less interesting with him playing.

CoMoChief 03-06-2013 08:38 AM

I would love to have his cannon for an arm...I'd be in the NFL right now

boogblaster 03-06-2013 09:21 AM

one of the biggest busts ever .. worthless ....

Except ours worked hard to improve whereas Jamarcus got fat, lazy, and hooked on drugs

COchief 03-06-2013 10:09 AM

I really didn't see anything impressive in that video, other than the long bomb which he missed anyways. I will always love that guy for his comeback against the Donks in Pile High that knocked them out of the playoffs. I swear it was the one game in his career where he looked even partially competent.

How serious can he be if he can't even drop the weight to make his "comeback"?

Dropping that much weight is going to take some time. He should have started his "comeback" last season. Dude was at 350 at one point. He's going to need to drop around 90lbs.

Rasputin 03-06-2013 10:32 AM

I'd be afraid he get hungry during practice and eat Dexter McCluster for a snack.

350?! Damn! I knew he was big, but jesus.

Pasta Little Brioni 03-06-2013 11:41 AM

I still think he can crack Oakland's QB roster.
