Texas A&M Pro Day Today.
...maybe 'someone' will have an epic meltdown.
|
whoopty frickin doo.
|
Prepare to hear stories about Chiefs reps slobbering over the Joker.
(Regardless if true or not). |
Hopefully those trick shot guys unleash an errant throw from the top deck that impales Joeckel and ends this nonsense.
|
GD I wish Manziel was draftable this year.

I really hope we can trade that pick.

Hopefully Jockel blows out his knee.

Hope Jockel lights it up, so a team will trade up.

Little surprising but the #Chiefs don't have a strong contingent at A&M this morning. Possible they'll have a private workout with Joeckel |

Good to see they're at least trying to create a perception that would help bolster their ability to trade down.

I bet we have EVERYBODY in West Virginia on the 14th.

I hope they don't draft Geno, though. |

When it comes to NFL football, the only thing I hate worse than the Kansas City Chiefs is their vast quantities of clueless fan-sheep. |

He struggles with power and gets best inside a lot. He is solid everywhere else. Geno is every bit as good a quarterback as Joeckel is a left tackle. Jmo though. |
Quote:
He's a pretty good QB prospect, nothing more. Or LESS, regardless of what the sheep say. |

This fan base is the 300 pound 32 year old that eats a Big Mac meal every day for lunch and doesn't like fresh and healthy food because that's what they were brought up on and don't know any better. |

All they know as "good times" for the Chiefs is "the line of fame" and a 78 year old Trent Green. Or Joe Montana. That's it. The sad part is that with the top pick and a QB focused coaching staff, we are gonna go down the road again. |

Between going to pro days and how they've played signing their own players they've tried to create the "who knows what KC will do" atmosphere. I don't think teams will bite, but KC is trying... |

In the regular season staunch Chiefs defenses shut down SB winning QB's consistently. It lead us to believe that our plan for success was spot on. It was not. Proof it was not was those same QB's beating us once the post season started. Year, after year, after year, top 5 QB's with below average teams knocked us out... |

I wasn't able to sever ties with the team and be indifferent. The more I thought about the Alex Smyth trade, in the context of all the other disappointing moves they've made over the years, the more it pissed me off. I wasted 30 years hoping for a Super Bowl berth from a team that obviously doesn't even want to make it to the Super Bowl. Maybe Frazod's right - maybe the NFL is rigged. If so, there's zero reason to root for the Chiefs because they'll never be allowed to win. But it's a special kind of special for fellow "fans" to ridicule me, and others, because we're tired of rooting for the red-headed stepchild of the NFL. ****ing sheep. |
Quote:
Even if Alex Cassel were to average his best season of his career, he wasnt worth trading for. |
Quote:
Teams know the KC fanbase WANTS that 1st round QB. Hell, LUSTS after having a 1st round QB. And with the place-holder QB there now is the perfect guy to draft one. I think we will, but I think we want to trade down, grab a 2nd round pick, and try to take the best of what's left there... |

What would be bigger news is how many of Chiefs & if Andy Reid and Dorsey show up to Geno Smith proday.

Watch this be a new policy, where they just don't show up to anybody's pro day.
Or Joeckel's really their guy, but they thought it was tomorrow. |

Rumor is that the #Chiefs have a private workout scheduled with Luke Joeckel for March 22. Will try and confirm. |

Cutting Winston and passing on multiple elite right tackle prospects in free agency (including the top two) to spend the first overall pick on a right tackle would be a monumental waste of resources.
Wouldn't it be nice if they are just trying to lower the perceived value of Geno so they can hopefully move down and still get him and it works out? |
I don't know who the Chiefs will draft its a roll of the dice but I don't think it will be Joeckel at 1. The CB market is way too flooded no way the Chiefs don't get a #2 CB at a good price.
If I'm the Chiefs I leak info pumping up Joeckel. I think those who say there isn't a demand for the #1 pick are wrong. I can think of atleast 3 teams who will atleast think about trading up to draft him. Why not start a bidding war for the pick? |
