How exactly does a tackle "light it up" on a pro day?

I'd rather Geno go somewhere we he has a chance to succeed and is supported by a fanbase that understands and values good QB play.

Not to mention the fact that the Chiefs have a small contingent - nobody is trading up with a team that has made no effort to create the perception that they're actually interested in Joeckel.

How many people do you really need to be there to look at a LT? But I guess if Reid and Dorsey aren't there that might mean something.

When it comes to NFL football, the only thing I hate worse than the Kansas City Chiefs is their vast quantities of clueless fan-sheep.

The fanbase might start to understand good QB play if they actually got to see it more often. I mean christ, people still think "Grbac vs Gannon" is some kind of definitive QB discussion, and not just a noodle-armed game manager versus what joe flacco would be with no guts or brains.

Between going to pro days and how they've played signing their own players they've tried to create the "who knows what KC will do" atmosphere.

That's actually how i see it, too. I think trading for Smith limited their draft day trade options, because teams know they aren't going QB. Which, I think, in turn means the pick up for grabs is actually the one behind us. Teams just need to jump ahead of Oakland.

In the regular season staunch Chiefs defenses shut down SB winning QB's consistently. It lead us to believe that our plan for success was spot on.

It was not. Proof it was not was those same QB's beating us once the post season started.

Year, after year, after year, top 5 QB's with below average teams knocked us out...

I've gone off the deep end.

I wasn't able to sever ties with the team and be indifferent. The more I thought about the Alex Smyth trade, in the context of all the other disappointing moves they've made over the years, the more it pissed me off.

I wasted 30 years hoping for a Super Bowl berth from a team that obviously doesn't even want to make it to the Super Bowl.

Maybe Frazod's right - maybe the NFL is rigged. If so, there's zero reason to root for the Chiefs because they'll never be allowed to win.

But it's a special kind of special for fellow "fans" to ridicule me, and others, because we're tired of rooting for the red-headed stepchild of the NFL.

I think there's about 0.0000000002% chance they draft a QB in the first round. Alex Smith is the guy now.

Cutting Winston and passing on multiple elite right tackle prospects in free agency (including the top two) to spend the first overall pick on a right tackle would be a monumental waste of resources.

I don't know who the Chiefs will draft its a roll of the dice but I don't think it will be Joeckel at 1. The CB market is way too flooded no way the Chiefs don't get a #2 CB at a good price.

If I'm the Chiefs I leak info pumping up Joeckel. I think those who say there isn't a demand for the #1 pick are wrong. I can think of atleast 3 teams who will atleast think about trading up to draft him. Why not start a bidding war for the pick?
