Chiefs sign Dunta Robinson
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
And we're off: Former Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson reached agreement Friday night on a three-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. |
Okay

KC BBQ brisket

I'm ok with this...even though he wasn't very good last year. He has a pretty good track record.
|
Bullshit really?
|
Looks like Milliner is out as 1-1.

It's evident that one of the active plans of Dorsey/Reid is to go into the draft with as few immediate needs as possible so he can draft...let's say it together...BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE.
He's a good #2 corner opposite Flowers. Decent move. |
This guy was shit last year.
Only 4 guys allowed more receiving yards. This is a depth move at best, he'll probably compete with Arenas/Brown. |

#Chiefs Dunta Robinson deal interesting. Experience as slot CB/could probably play FS. Suspect Sean Smith could still go there. $ will tell. |
Seriously who the **** is this team drafting?

Dunta Robinson isn't going to stop us from going after another CB. Look at our Cb's last year. I dont' think they want Jalil Brown out there running around trying to cover.

Dunta Robinson agrees to deal with Chiefs
Posted by Darin Gantt on March 8, 2013, 11:14 PM EST NFC Championship - San Francisco 49ers v Atlanta Falcons Getty Images An hour before the deadline for legal tampering, we have a deal that could have been done a week ago. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Chiefs have agreed to a three-year deal with former Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson. Robinson was able to deal now since he was released by the Falcons, whereas unrestricted free agents whose agents can be dealt with tonight have to wait until Tuesday. It’s probably smart for Robinson to get a deal in now, with veteran cornerbacks moving away from jobs faster than toward them Friday. It also continues an aggressive offseason for the Chiefs, who have to wait until Tuesday for their Alex Smith deal to be finalized, but have re-signed wide receiver Dwayne Bowe and franchised left tackle Branden Albert. |

boy were we dumb |
At CB we had Flowers and Arenas then ?
They're throwing numbers at it. |

I actually think Brown could serve a purpose on the team, mainly in the special teams role and like the 6th CB. |
Chiefs are in a win now mode.

It's not coincidence this move came while I'm sitting here taking a shit.
|
I'm ok with this as long as we either sign another CB or draft one in the 3rd or 4th round.

3 year deal, bet he came pretty cheap.

ALEX SMITH knows how to pack a house. Look at that empty stadium in that sig.

That tweet about him playing FS is intriguing. Maybe that's where he fits best?
I wouldn't mind him at FS. |
Cool. We need an upgrade. Good for us.

Dorsey and Reid are almost making too much sense this offseason. It's like they don't even care about who's making too many color copies. |

Brown, IIRC, has been pretty good on special teams. In coverage? Meh, not so much.
Maybe ST's are just his niche. |
Carrington Harrison @cdotharrison
From @PFF: QB's against Dunta Robinson 64/97 66% for 835 (4th highest in the NFL) 4TD/1INT 7 pass breakups with a QB rating of 102.4 |

Yeah, Dunta Robinson happened. |
No way they are bringing him in to be the #2 CB.

He's shitty. Depth signing. |

It's much easier. |

I'm sorry but same old story for this franchise. It's like a broken record. I hate to come off as negative but I know this team like the back of my hand. I'm gonna need to see it to believe it that we'll be "winning" anything with Alex ****ing Smith at QB. I don't know how anyone not named casual fan can buy him as our starting QB going forward. |
I don't think this is anything to be concerned about. He's not going to be number 2. Nothing to see here.

I was a fan a long time ago, and I think this is a value signing. Guy is great in run support, and did get picked on in Atlanta.
However, I think that's in large part due to the fact that teams had to throw to keep up with them. I'd venture to say that probably a great deal of corners that played with an explosive offense didn't have favorable numbers. |
Interesting.
|
It's not the 12th????

Draftdrunk @JinxAllessio
I would imagine very little guaranteed money in the Dunta contract, 2.5-3 a year over 3 years is just my guess. Based on the market, I'd say thats pretty close. |

Dunta Robinson is not as good as Brandon Carr but he is much better than Stanford Routt. |

Chiefs sign CB Dunta Robinson. Not saying that's division-changer. But clearly Andy Reid went to KC to win. Meanwhile in San Diego ... Retweeted by Arrowhead Pride |

Dunta Robinson has been crap for awhile now. He was crap in Houston, too.

I bet he'll play like 2007-08 Surtain. |

From a Falcon Fan.... Good luck... I think he will play a little better in a press man scheme..He is not a bad CB..Its just he is not anything special... Ill just say this... Go back and look at what Game McCluster had his biggest game... Then watch who he had that biggest game on this season.
Now if yall got him for 3 mil.... Thats a good value for an iight CB. |
Dream team.
