Cohl Walla was dismissed from the baseball team today... does that count?

tk13 03-08-2013 11:10 PM

They were hoping to sign Dunta Robinson. Crushing blow to their offseason.

RedDread 03-08-2013 11:11 PM

I'm gonna say Mack Brown has a mistress. Any other guesses?

The Franchise 03-08-2013 11:12 PM

Gunnar Kiel transfered to UT?

Saw this on College Football subreddit (r/CFB) so I figure it has something to do with their football team

If I'd have to guess maybe major recruiting violations.

Bugeater 03-08-2013 11:14 PM

Whatever it is, it can't be bad enough.

Ceej 03-08-2013 11:15 PM

They're joining the Big Catholic American 12?

tk13 03-08-2013 11:16 PM

All the rumors I mucked up from message boards and twitter in about 5 minutes seem to point toward a more widespread cover-up of inappropriate relationships in the athletic department than just Major Applewhite.

Certainly this.

Bewbies 03-08-2013 11:19 PM

They own the big 12, so no **** will be given in the NCAA office.

MMXcalibur 03-08-2013 11:19 PM

A college program with recruiting violations?!

OH MY STARS!!!!

Imon Yourside 03-08-2013 11:32 PM

Mack Brown had an affair with Johnny Football....say it aint so!

Pitt Gorilla 03-08-2013 11:36 PM

They realized they're still in the Big 12?

HotCarl 03-08-2013 11:38 PM

Mack and Bevo were caught red-handed going at it in a front yard in Las Vegas?

HotCarl 03-08-2013 11:39 PM

"Apparently Bev will make more accusations about more inappropiate relationships within the UT athletic department. & Dodds knew about them"

Prison Bitch 03-08-2013 11:42 PM

The NCAA will finally prove - beyond any reasonable doubt - that yes, Texas has been keeping Mizzou from reaching their deserved greatness.

God please let them get violations on top of the shit teams they have been fielding. There is no arrogant, cock sucking fan base that deserves it any more than they do.

You may think about Mizzou more than Mizzou fans think about Mizzou.

Judging by all the empty seats at your games, I think you might be right.

Stanley Nickels 03-08-2013 11:55 PM

In reading through the entire thread on Orangebloods (http://www.shaggybevo.com/board/show...tic-Department), the best guess ATM is that there is some sort of "recruiting prostitution", or some other form of inappropriate sexual misconduct, in the UT AD.

The Texas Angels and Gabriels (I think the latter was added to appear as though they weren't explicitly women-only, though they seem to be) are the 'welcoming committee' of sorts for visiting recruits.. you can only imagine the warm welcome those high schoolers receive. This really isn't uncommon from what I've heard through the years, but UT's ex-track-coach -- herself fired for sexual misconduct -- seems to have put on her big girl pants and come out guns a-blazin'.

Should be interesting.

WilliamTheIrish 03-09-2013 07:12 AM

Ex track coach had full on lesbian relationship with coed shut down. Track coach was removed. Now she's got dirt on all the banging going on by all the male coaches and maybe the AD himself.

Worst case; Dodds gets canned.

CoMoChief 03-09-2013 07:16 AM

Well they're the biggest athletic program in the nation, with the most $$$

What could possibly go wrong with those kinds of resources? LMAO

**** Univ. of Texas

Hard to believe a scandal erupts where men with power mingle with young nubile women.

Why are the women's coaching staffs in collegiate athletics so often like some kind of a lesbian frathouse?

Buehler445 03-09-2013 08:29 AM

Like almost all lesbians in real life, you actually don't want to see that

I don't think they're a mess. They've got a national title in football in the last 10 years. They haven't been performing up to standards recently yes but that's still a national title in one of the sports programs.

You missed the humor in that, i suspect.

WilliamTheIrish 03-09-2013 09:08 AM

Like all universities, Texas really discourages relationships between coaches/profs and students. However, it's not illegal. But you have to declare it to the university for any number of good legal reasons.

The track coach didn't do that. Her big issue is that Major Applewhite banged some student manager and he didn't get fired. But I believe he reported it.

This will be publicly embarrassing for UT athletics, but nothing more.

This is not meant to be critical, but these two sentences seem to contradict one another. Are sexual relationships between superiors and their employees illegal? Was it illegal, or just immoral, when Petrino ****ed that 5/10 at Arky?

Falls into the category of sexual harassment because of the inherent power differential, and, as we all know, sexual harassment can result in being fired.
