Steve Maneri gone
@stevemaneri: Chiefsnation: I won't be returning to Kansas City next season
|
He's an RFA this year.
So this means the Chiefs will not be re-signing him or placing a tender on him. Too bad. He was a solid blocking tight end. I see absolutely no reason to let him go. |
His fellow Temple alumni are recruiting him. LMAO
Evan E-Rod Rodriguez @ERod_Inc Chicago calling your name big bro! Temple Tuff! “@stevemaneri: Chiefsnation: I won't be returning to Kansas City next season” |

Maybe he tossed around the cannibal too much.
|
He got raped!
|
He's probably just too one dimensional for Reids tastes, not a skilled enough receiver.
Adios muchacho. |
He is going to rape us next year.
|
This team will sorely miss his lack of talent and production.
|
WELL THERE GOES THE SUPERBOWL DREAM

@Chiefsnation: stevemaneri: no one will notice.

So we cut him and gained $3.00 in cap space?

Dang. I liked him. Probably a good call, but I hoped he would come around. He was better than that mother****ing OConnell

:hmmm: They will not miss his lack of rape. |
why oh why .. he's worthless is why .....

Maneri had quietly become one of my favorite Chiefs. It seems he did what he was asked to do and those away-from-the-body catches did remind me a bit of Gonzo. I wish he would have stayed. :(

The homers here loved this guy last year. LMAO
Saw him as a real threat! |
I don't really recall anything about him, and neither does Troy Polamalu.
|
What was his PFF rating? I will not have an opinion on his not returning without this information.

He could block an aids tree after drinking anti freeze like no other.

More than likely Maneri will be a nobody journeyman. But he did show a few moments that he could be a diamond in the rough in my opinion.
Bottom line it is impossible to judge any WR's or TE's production with what has been throwing them the ball here the last few years. But for what Maneri actually contributed here, losing him is no big deal. |

#Bears sign TE Steve Maneri to a 2-yr contract |

That corrected, what I meant in general was that he seemed to do what he was asked and WHEN he was on the field I enjoyed watching him make those away-from-body catches. I have mentioned that as a pleasant similarity to the master himself, Tony Gonzalez. |
He could have been this generation's Joe Valerio, skinnier yes, but alas no more.

If Billy Bajema can keep sticking with teams, so should Maneri. He did **** Polamalu up on that run. Maneri >> OConnell and most of the other dead weight KC has had at TE.

It's funny how guys like this capture the average fan's imagination. We always hope they turn out to be some hidden gem when, in reality, 99.99% of the time they don't amount to anything. Just throw Maneri on the pile with Jessie Haynes, Richard Smith, Boomer Grigsby, etc.
|
If Maneri had a real quarterback he would have had tons of receptions.

NOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo!
<------Wanted him to be our next Jason Dunn...:grr: |
Dude was willing to do whatever it took to get onto the field. You have to respect that.

Was this the last of Peeoli's Pats tree players?

I really liked Mineri and thought he had great hands and could catch 1-2 passes a game crossing deep middle or long outside route
