Chiefs awarded compensatory picks 3rd and 6th round
|
Not bad for the amount of FA they brought in.

Adam Caplan @caplannfl
Texans got the highest comp pick: 3rd, 95th overall. Pro Football Weekly @ProFootballWkly #Texans, #Chiefs, #Titans get 3rd-round compensatory picks. #Ravens, #49ers, #Lions, #Falcons with 4th-rounders. |

Another pick for the 9ers, heh. They are going to be wheeling and dealing.

@SaveOurChiefs: Chiefs receive third and sixth-round compensatory picks in the 2013 draft. Per this press release:... http://t.co/7Il9dVpoJb |
Well, this is good right? More for Reid and Dorsey to rebuild with.
|
nice. Now if we can only find some way to recoup our 2nd rounder
|
So we have #1, #63, #97 and #100.
|
Fantastic!
Thanks Scott! |

Losing Brandon Carr wasn't so bad #Chiefs fans. You get Sean Smith for like 1/6 the price and a 3rd round pick. |

There's just something about the kid that intrigues me. I've always said if Bray could have a strong QB coach and time to ride the pine he could be great. By the same token he could be total and complete mid round bust. |

Sean Smith excels at press coverage, per Dorsey Sutton's scheme is 85 % press. Im good with this. We wont be capped strapped in our secondary for years to come

I have ways of knowing this.
I just choose not to. I like to be surprised. |

Then we could try and move that #2 pick. |

Smith vs Cassell. Smith is way better than cassell. Smith lead the NFL in passer rating until he got injured and has taken a team to the playoffs and should of the super bowl. Dorsey is not a liability if anything he is a saving grace so far. |

You might be able to lure Nnamdi Asomugha with the idea of playing on an elite Jaguars stop unit. LMAO |
Quote:
Both have only had success because they road the coattails of other players. People need to stop this crap. Smith is not worse than Cassel, but he's certainly not "way better." |

Honest question, how could someone who looks at football as much as you do with your videos and gifs really truly know dick about it? He's absolutely better by a wide margin. |

What's the sure fire winning blueprint? |
Cassel is a god damn turnover machine. By simple virtue of Alex Smith protecting the ball he's light years ahead of Cassel.
Cassel couldn't complete 70% of his passes if he was playing Madden. |

Maybe they can trade the extra 3rd rounder for another shitty backup QB.
|
Quote:
So has Alex Smith. It's doubtful he can exceed what Cassel did here in 2010, based on his career to date. There's no evidence he can have a better season. |
Alex Smith may be "better" than Cassel but he's still worse than at least 15 other QBs and unless the Chiefs develop one of the all time great defenses then he'll accomplish just as much as Cassel did.

He knows how to run this franchise properly and will not be the patriot way or any other way but the only way he knows. Were gonna make our own way and from now on the Chiefs Way will be the next best thing. |

8th ranked QB in '11
12th in '12 (if he had played all year) PFF can expose frauds like they did with Cassel in 08 and 10. He's not a franchise guy obviously, but a definitive upgrade. |

Actually you wouldn't have any less picks this year. |
If Alex Smith throws 27 TDs in one regular season with the Chiefs, I'll leave forever!

He'll wing it much more under Reid. We'll see how much that hurts him.

We'll see how he fares in a consistent pass heavy offense. Time for his balls to drop.
