Chiefs worked out Eric Fisher today
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 6m
Chiefs officials spent today at Central Michigan visiting and working out offensive tackle Eric Fisher, a possible No. 1 overall pick. |
i mean, if we have to absolutely take an offensive lineman first overall, please let it be this guy.

Reid wears black shirts, blue jeans and white shoes everywhere he goes LMAO

Eh screw that. Let's just resign Albert, trade down, draft Patterson, and go destroy some Bronco ass next season.
|
Due diligence to help ensure that we have the dullest draft humanly possibly.

This place is TRULY butt hurt

Nothing says wasting a first overall pick like throwing away your stud LT, that you drafted in the first round, to replace him with an offensive tackle with the first pick in the whole draft.
If we stay at 1 and draft Joeckel or Fisher, that might just be worse than Tyson Jackson at 3. |

I need to do more research, but at this point in time it would kill me if we spent a #1 on this guy.

LOL! Y'all have given up it's so pathetic. Bargaining like it's out of style. I can't believe I respected your fanbase once upon a time.
Although there are still some fighters left. I salute you!:usa: |

We trade down and grabe Jordan or Ansah. WalterFootball said Schwartz is a future Pro Bowl player. Said we got a steal. |

they need a LT. it's either keep Albert or trade him and whatever magical plan they have up their ass to get a LT. If its anyone but Albert at LT it is an absolute fact Alex Smith will not play all 16 games from the hits he takes |
Albert
Schwartz/Allen Hudson Asamoah Stephenson/Allen If Alberts back truly is ****ed (which I don't believe) then I could see them moving him and drafting a replacement. What's gonna kill me is if we trade Albert and he starts 90% of the games the next 5 years snd plays at a high level after we take Joeckel...the salt in the wound will be Geno averaging 11 wins a year for the Raiders over the next 10 years and Alex Smith sucks. |
that latter half of your prediction is definitely happening lol

After the late 90's, I just can't even pretend to get excited about drafting a Tackle, heck, after recent years I can't even get excited by DT. I doubt I'll even watch the first round coverage if we know we are drafting an OT. Couldn't be a more boring pick.

Geno isn't doing shit if he goes to Oakland. They literally have nothing there for him to work with.
Nothing. |

You want an athlete. I live in Lincoln NE and I'll never forgot that first time I saw Suh at a women's volleyball game in person. Looked like a rocked up FB. Agree with others in that if we absolutely must take a Tackle #1, I'll take this guy. |

Fisher is my fav LT. His upside is tremendous but he is already a pretty polished player.

What does that say about this chickenshit franchise? |

A lot more mocks have us drafting Fisher now. Even Mayock has him as host top LT now. I'd be happy with Fisher over Joeckel any day! RT OF THE FUTURE

It's really sad. The draft is two weeks away and I don't even give a shit anymore.
|
The earlier comparison between Alt and Fisher was spot on correct. I was in Arrowhead the day John Alt arrived after being drafted. Dude filled the doorway, but was thin. He was not NFL ready on the first day, but the Chiefs S&C staff got him there. We all know what he turned into and he was a DAMN good LOT for years.
Honestly, I like Fisher much better than Joeckle. |

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora is "hearing" the Chiefs will likely select Central Michigan LT Eric Fisher with the No. 1 pick if they can't deal disgruntled LT Branden Albert before the draft.
The reasoning is vague, but the Chiefs apparently believe Fisher would be better suited to the "power game" at right tackle than Texas A&M's Luke Joeckel if they kept Albert on the blindside. La Canfora had previously been adamant that Joeckel would be the Chiefs' pick. Unusual for a team picking No. 1 overall, the Chiefs have yet to be overwhelmingly connected to one player. There's still plenty of time for Albert to be traded before Thursday evening. Related: Chiefs Source: Jason La Canfora on Twitter Apr 24 - 12:11 AM |
Getting rid of a solid LT and drafting a LT does not make this team any better.
We are basically shopping out of the bargain bin again. Like we do QBs |
LaCanfora: "My source tells me its a certainty that Okung will be the Chiefs pick here in the next minute"
Goodell: "Eric Berry, come on down!" |

I watched Gruden's film room with Joeckel & thought I like this kid & Gruden really loved him. Why the Joeckel hate? |
Welp...this thread took a trip to WEIRDVILLE :)
