I was 27 once. It was in the spring of 2009. We hired a hot new GM prospect, had loads of money to burn, were coming of a down season and looked like maybe the Chiefs might not be a laughing stock some day.

Wow, 27. I think back to how I thought I knew shit at 27, heh. Anyhow, when I was 27, the Chiefs had just signed Joe Montana, and this town, all the fans, and I, all had lots of hope.

Should've started this after the alex smith trade. My inner chiefs fan put a gun to his head and splattered any loyalty or optimism all over the wall. **** the new regime. **** the chiefs. And **** the fans who will settle for mediocrity. If you said, "let's give them the benefit of the doubt," a double **** you.

I feel hope now...hopefully it's real. Things are good in my life though, so I don't actually want to jump off of a bridge literally. Just an imaginary one. I'd rather step on a Lego than draft Luke Joeckel.

Shot to hell

The draft used to be this exciting thing for me. The day that we cemented that #1 pick and then the days following when we signed Reid and Dorsey.....I was at a peak of happiness. Then Alex Smith happened and I could really give a shit about tomorrow. If they draft Joeckel.....I'll turn off the draft and see who we drafted after the weekend is over.
