I meant to post this when I saw it yesterday. I'm surprised that he did it in a running start instead of building up to it. Dude's got some foot speed.

BlackHelicopters 07-01-2013 02:05 PM

Bring him in for a look?

Chief_For_Life58 07-01-2013 02:05 PM

Yeah, I can barely jump in on 10 MPH. I'd bust my ass on anything higher. I don't even know why I tried doing it at 10.

If he would of stumbled that treadmill would of shot his ass clear across the room. ROFL

Why would you have a treadmill over an open drop like that? Maybe people in the future aren't as smart as we think they are.

Or maybe this is the end result of all of the government's health and fitness measures. In the future, you have to be able to run a certain speed for a certain time or you plummet to your death.

Not impressed.

In HS most of the jr/sr kids on my football team paid to go to a speed training camp that was 4 days a week over the entire summer (in Maryville, MO at the hospital). It was a lot of fun, and surprisingly helped a shit load with vertical, agility, balance, strength, and speed.

At the end of it to graduate you had to jump on one of those big ass treadmills and "run" 20mph for 6 seconds. It was intense and scary. The treadmill is pretty awesome. They would change the incline and speeds all the time. Once one of the kids in my group fell, but wouldnt let go of the rail, and so his shoe just dragged along the treadmill for a good 6-10 seconds. When he finally let go the side of his shoe was sanded down to almost nothing.

the Bruce Arians offense, plucking any 29 year old sub 4.4 football player out of the amateur leagues hoping his speed sticks

there are several physics related reasons this is not the same as actually running 25 mph. you could compare this with running down a steep mountain dirt trail, so steep, in fact, your traction is about 35% and your strides are twice as long compared with normal sprint strides.

Chaunceythe3rd 07-02-2013 01:13 PM

Good way to end a career.
