Happy Training Camp Day!
|
Woohoo?
|
Happy day?
|
@DannyParkins: Andy Reid: "We're going to tackle to the ground." That will be the biggest difference between a Reid camp and a Romeo or Haley camp. #Chiefs
|
@APdaveskretta: Reid also says Donnie Avery, Tony Moeaki and Shaun Draughn are cleared to practice. #Chiefs

w00t. First tweets. It's official, we're on.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. The Kansas City Chiefs are still talking with the agent for No. 1 overall pick Eric Fisher, but the right tackle has yet to sign a contract and has not reported to training camp.
Rookies, quarterbacks and injured players reported to the Chiefs' camp headquarters on the campus of Missouri Western on Monday, giving them a few days of extra work before the full squad reports on Thursday. The first full practice is Friday. It's unclear when Fisher will join the mix, though coach Andy Reid said that GM John Dorsey and Fisher's agent, Joel Segal, were talking. A rookie wage scale introduced in the latest collective-bargaining agreement took much of the drama out of rookie contract negotiations. Still, Reid said he's not surprised the negotiations with Fisher are ongoing. |
mega threads blow ass.

It's good news to hear Moeaki and Avery can practice. Maybe Moeaki isn't a lost cause. |
Just read somewhere that fisher is a no show so far. Holdout maybe?

It is just language in the contract. Not a hold out. |
Who is bringing the Krispy Kremes?
|
Scanlon Hall always gets me hard.

The Albert fiasco has screwed things up for Fisher and the Chiefs IMO.
We try to get the best of both worlds and sign both Fisher and Albert to long term deals so that we have 2 solid bookend tackles in the starting lineup. Well... Albert won't be a Chief next season most likely...so now what was going to be RT money has now turned into Fisher wanting more money because he's planning on being the team's starting LT next season. These negotiations will probably take longer than it normally should. |

I'll say this much for Alex Smith.
That is one fine looking man. |

I was there with a few other fans as they all arrived. Andy Reid and Brad Childress were among the staff to come over and actually talk to us and sign autographs. Alex Smith never even acknowledged us as he arrived...Prick.

Um fisher cant negotiate due to the rookie pay scale. If we took a kicker number one he would get paid the same.

This is exciting. We're embarking on a new error of Chiefs football, for better or for worse.
|
|
I'm excited that it seems like there are no more movie time Haley training camps and club Romeo camps anymore.
Reid's camp is going to be grueling and he's going to push the limit as far as he can. I like that. |

There'd be absolutely NO ****ING WAY I'd ever wear a sweat shirt in the middle of a hot humid 90+ degree summer day in MO. The black guy in the background must be thinking....mutha****a's crazy. |

Read today that Reid said they would be tackling to the ground here at camp, thats not something we're used to.

I'm sure they'll give him the minimum reps they feel he needs.
|
I hope so man... Reid isn't known for his conservative use of RB's, and I'm not sure how I feel about JC handling a 300+ touch workload.
