Man tasered repeatedly at work files lawsuit

I think this is one situation where I would have beat some co worker ass. I usually don't condone violence but here I would.

Quote:

HOUSTON – A man filed a civil lawsuit against his former employer after he said he was hurt terribly and humiliated in front of co-workers and customers for nine months.

Bradley Jones, 45, worked at Fred Fincher Motors for more than four years.

He said for the last nine months, his fellow employees began sneaking up on him and hitting him with a stun gun.

He said it happened at least two dozen times and each incident left him more on edge.

“I was constantly looking behind my shoulder, distracted, couldn’t sleep,” Jones said. “I would even look behind my shower curtain at home.”

Jones said his boss Sam Harless provided the taser and also held the camera many times. The videos were posted on YouTube, but have been taken off.

Jones sued his former employer and two employees for assault and battery, and failure to provide a safe work place.

“I’m just happy that I’m an American and I’m in a country where the justice system works,” Harless said. “This is a frivolous lawsuit -- once the facts come out, it will be thrown out.”

Jones was looking for another job and his attorney said criminal charges could follow.

“It was unacceptable,” Jones said. “It was hurtful. It was wrong.”

Yeah...frivolous. Not so much. They will be writing a large check to this guy.

Deberg_1990 08-10-2013 10:04 AM

Wow, the boss held the camera? nice.

This just helps to confirm to me that most car salesmen are low life scumbags.

How that guy didn't pack a 45 to work I don't know. Wonder what he did to bring on that treatment?

Sure-Oz 08-10-2013 11:18 AM

that's ridiculous....boss looks like a jackass too.

Hope this dude gets some $$$

Works with immature dipshits pretty much.

Sure a joke 1 or 2 times, but 2 dozen times, wtf

OrtonsPiercedTaint 08-10-2013 11:20 AM

The customers that left with only a little anus bleeding now feel lucky.

Yes, sounds beyond stupid. So much so I wonder if there is more to the story. If not, dude deserves to win.

Mr. Laz 08-10-2013 11:27 AM

Sounds too bazaar to be just face value but

Rain Man 08-10-2013 11:35 AM

That must be the most stupid employer on the planet. It's shocking that they would be doing it to people, but then to video it and put it on youtube? They might as well give the dealership to that guy.

The big concern is that the boss's wife is a state representative. The only chance of not paying a lot of money is if she interferes with the justice system. I don't know how courts work, so she may not have any influence, which would be good.

hometeam 08-10-2013 11:44 AM

I used to work just down the street from this place when I lived in Houston. I knew a few guys that had been through there, its a scum factory.

Rasputin 08-10-2013 11:47 AM

I would have been kicking some ones ass well before 9 months of it. That guy seemed like a pretty nice guy just showing up for work. Selling cars has to be stressful enough just to make sales and live off of your sales.

His boss seemed like an arrogant jerk & this case can go from civil courts to assault charges.

The guy should have reported this long ago to better business burro.

While on deployment, my squad had to get Tasered. Uh, that was 8 seconds of hell. Never again. And it would of took one time for these pricks to do that to me, and I would of been postal. being tasered is no joke. I still get uncomfortable looking at power boxes......

FTS........

Damn. Why did you have to get tazed? You MP? And yeah, can't believe dude didn't show one day packed and double tapping.

I hate to admit it, but I'm a vengeful mother****er. I would've been fired after the second or third tasering. I hope this guy gets a fat check and an even better job.

I saw a guy get tazed on COPS 3D. COPS 3D looked so real like it was rite out side my home. This guy was told to stop and get down by a motorcycle cop that arrived and pulled out a weapon. The guy kept lunging toward the cop and told him "shoot me" & then zap ~ dude was toast fell flat on his face on concrete sidewalk. Funny as hell but I got new respect for law officers seeing that.

Yeah, I'm thinking I would have grabbed the nearest blunt object and starting beating the guy with it. While I feel sorry for this guy, and hope he ends up owning the place, he's a puss for taking it so long.

its a new feeling when you can fill your balls giggling inside your sack. Unpleasant.

We had to get pepper sprayed, and then run an obstacle course full of guys hitting you, and attacking you.

ill take that 74 times again before I ever get tasered....

He took it up so long until he got fired. I don't understand why he waited till he got fired & 9 months of shocking abuse. I agree he is a puss for not standing up for himself sooner.

I can see how that would affect his job performance so maybe he could go with wrongful termination lawsuit depending on the states laws.

At boot camp Ft. Sill Ok we had to go through a gas chamber with a gas mask on then take it off. That ****ing sucked ass. Am sure better than being tazed but I wouldn't want to go through it again.

Yea, even if it was some kind of game that just went too far because of a bunch of bully pricks ... you go get the strongest taser made. The kind of taser that is so strong it makes you piss yourself and you set a new standard.

Like how you think.

rockymtnchief 08-10-2013 12:11 PM

I agree, he took too long. Once you're a target, the bullying is going to continue until you snap, the boss puts an end to it, or someone gets seriously hurt.

Put Visine in the coffee pot and drink water or pop all day. Watch everyone fight over the shitter and take every customer on the lot.

i'm not one to put up with bully situations.

Even clear back when i was in grade school i remember stepping in and putting a stop to this guy who was picking on this kid with messed up legs. He had this condition that made him always walk up on his toes. So his balance was crap and length strength was weak.

Pretty pathetic when one of the biggest guys in our grade school started pushing him around. :shake:

A friend and i put a stop to that shit quick.

HA, no kidding? That's where I went through...hahaha. 13 bravo baby....

I didn't open my eyes when we went through it. So, I didn't get it as bad as other people. But, I hocked up shit for days......lol

GloryDayz 08-10-2013 12:40 PM

After filming it, the boss would have been the brunt of the next funny taser event in the office... Over and over and over again... And if he so much as whined about being the joke that time, we'd see how funny a Louisville Slugger to both shins is. I'd remind him that nobody like a whiny bitch who can't take a joke just before I went Babe Ruth on his first shin...

Hey cool. I forgot what unit I was in but we had this black Drill Sergeant Farmer and I was scared shitless when he just stood there with his arms crossed. He wouldn't say much at all was a big black man.

Then we had this other bulky white drill sergeant that was mean as hell and would flip tables but I wasn't scared of him just couldn't respect the guy.

The scariest ones were the black female drill sergeants MY GOD I saw this one make grown men cry. Glad I didn't have one as my instructor.

It was summer of 1992 my junior year in high school.

haha, yeah, I went late. I went straight from basic, to a deployment. I went in 2006. And yes, the scariest Drill Sergeants were always the females. They were beasts. Ours were okay. We had this black wanna be name Peacock, who kinda looked like freddy kruger, and we had a black guy named Mazziel. He was a dick, but told funny stories. About half way through our cycle, we got this dude named Maddux. He was cool because he didn't like the training, he thought we should do shit more according to what we were actually going to face. The rest of the battery drill sergeants hated him......But we loved him. I was in 1-122 bravo.

meh, if he's working with a bunch of asshats then this type of behavior would only escalate the hi jinx crap. The guy said he was trying to buy a house, in other words, he needed the job. He's doing the right thing, he got laid off and now he's going to collect unemployment while he sues the crap out of the idiot owners, one who is a state representative.

He will get some $. They will pay him off just to shut him up.

Classic bully mentality they found the weak guy in the heard and took advantage.

Fred Fincher Motors might soon be Bradley Jones Motors.

My friends and I used to sneak up and shock the shit out of each other with a stun gun which is what I think they're talking about.
It was hilarious.
If someone were to do this to me multiple times at work I would show up with an actual taser and put their ass on the ****ing concrete with it

I hate frivolous lawsuits immensely BUT this ain't one of them!

This guy deserves a boatload of money and these sleazy douchebags all deserve to be charged with assault!

What a bunch of boneheads and the boss is probably the owners son who was born a silver spoon, like Colin Farrell's character in Horrible Bosses.

****ing-A friend... I've not been tasered, but I've got some scars form other events, and from my awesome friends who have experienced both, they say, BY FAR, the taser if a LOT worse. You don't usually die, but they NEVER want it again. So based on that, I'd beat the ****ing shit out of the boss guy and tell him that firing me would be the worst thing he could do because then I have nothing but "law" holding me back, and that AIN'T much! If he looked im my eyes when i said it, i think he'd give me both a raise and a bonus!

Poor guy must have worked with a bunch of former frat boys who started in high school with snapping each other in the showers with towels, then paddling each other in a college frat house (Please, may I have some more?).

Dumbassery and grabassery like this in the workplace should result in broken bones for the perpetrators and they should be required to list these transactions on the applications for their next jobs wearing paper hats and dispensing fast food to the public. On second thought, wearing paper hats and cleaning toilets in a fast food establishment or a public park. Plain and simple.

Pass on getting tapped in the nuts.

I would say the guy is a paper pusher of some kind and not selling cars. Maybe that's what SimplyRed meant.

The video says Sam Harless is the General Manager.
Fred Fincher Motors is a used car dealer. No comment.

The lawsuit lists the Defendants as Patricia Harless, Sam Harless, P.P.D., Fincher Inc., et. al. in Harris County Civil Court. Cause # 1035300.

Not on the Docket yet.

She's a Texas State Representative and part owner is my guess.

Oh. Sorry about doing that when we met for dinner a few years back. I thought it was funny.

And by the way, as a result of this thread I've implemented a new policy at my own office. Employees are not allowed to taser each other. The only taser use will be by either direct supervisors or managers, and only with an HR person present. Tasers will be used only in quarterly or annual performance reviews where warranted.

To put things into perspective, if you start randomly punching and fighting people there's a possibility the police and court system might charge you with third degree felony battery even if there were practical stun gun jokes. Taking "the bitch" way out and getting a million plus in damages might be the more logical choice over pretending to be a tough guy and having a felony on your record.

No logic here. It's better to be the tough guy.

Btw it wouldn't be random punching. Actually self defense.

That post reads as though someone would walk down the street punching people for no reason
