Chase Daniel's assessment

He played behind Brees in the past. In the last two games, how was his performance compared to other three qbs? I notice that he is the short one in the bunch.

Stewie 08-21-2013 04:17 PM

He's 5'10 at best and sucks ass. He's the hero of MU fans because... well... "I wish I could suck and make money!"

mcaj22 08-21-2013 04:18 PM

imagine if Alex Smith does what he does best and gets hurt

and this dude has to play a real NFL game.

MTG#10 08-21-2013 04:20 PM

He cant be any worse than Cassel...can he?

CoMoChief 08-21-2013 04:20 PM

I certainly don't agree with the amount we signed him for. ROFL

I mean that's a criminally stupid move there.

RealSNR 08-21-2013 04:22 PM

His name is:

Buttchin
Booger

Pick one.

No he can't. But just think , if he's the same then we're 2-14 again.

Deberg_1990 08-21-2013 04:23 PM

He hands off to Charles exceptionally well.

Msmith 08-21-2013 04:24 PM

Against Saints, he was 6 for 10 for 42 yards. Against 49ers, he was 6 for 6 for 51 yards. Sure he got sacks but was not all his faults.

Chase is falling back into the pocket as if he's 6'3" and not compensating like his mentor Brees does when he falls back( takes an extra step back quickly) to see the field better and avoid batted passes.

TribalElder 08-21-2013 04:24 PM

Stanzi should be number 2 because he is the poop

Daniel not so good

KCUnited 08-21-2013 04:24 PM

Obligatory "he's running for his life back there, man!" post.

Remember when people were saying that Brady Quinn couldn't be any worse?

ROFL

BlackHelicopters 08-21-2013 05:00 PM

Smith Daniel Bray and pray.

Hammock Parties 08-21-2013 05:24 PM

If you're trying to jump start an ailing franchise, I don't think you could have picked a pair of QBs worse to do it with than Alex and Chase.

Cassel and Quinn?

Pablo 08-21-2013 05:38 PM

No doubt, MUrons throughout the metro area busted dick to get on nfl.com and customize their very own Daniel jersey the second the signing was announced.

I'd like to say he's another horse in our stable; but he's another turd in our toilet bowl.

I can just imagine the Daniels chants circling Arrowhead if Alex Smith sucks down a fat one.

Really? I don't see it that way at all. MU fans would still trade for Blaine Gabbert though lol

Todd Reesing would have been probably as good or better.

Show me any quote from a Missouri fan who expects Chase Daniel to ever become a legitimate NFL starting QB.

We are happy for him making a career in the league and it's nice to see him playing in Missouri again. That's all.

Are you a KU grad? Or are you just a fan... always curious with these sorta pissing matches.

Which is why he didn't even make a team in the CFL, right

KCUnited 08-21-2013 07:09 PM

He looked much taller in the still photo comparisons to the other QB's.

There was a thread back in 2008 suggesting he'd be a first rounder.

I just hope he's a quality backup.

I'm just a KU fan. I only poke fun because I know the Daniels love on this board is strong.

He sucks. But to be fair, whoever said Todd Reesing is the same guy is wrong. Daniels is at least 1.5" taller.

tk13 08-21-2013 07:26 PM

Since Trent Green got hurt, it seems like we hear every year it can't get worse, and then it gets worse.

LMAO

I don't doubt it. Emotions were really running high that year.

Mr_Tomahawk 08-21-2013 07:28 PM

Daniels was brought to this team to help sell tickets and sell merchandise. Not many backups not named Tebow can do that....

Pablo 08-21-2013 07:29 PM

If you want a good chuckle over this KU/MU thing; just go to the 150 years ago thread brewing in DC right now.

BourbonMan 08-21-2013 07:30 PM

I am a MIZZOU FAN...He was great while there...BUT He sucks big Green Donkey Dicks in the NFL(CHIEFS).

I'm a hardore Mizzou fan and 1. I'm not thrilled with Chase as the backup (I'd rather have him than Cassel though) 2.) I wouldn't touch gabbert with a 10 foot pole. He was never the same after Suh twisted his ankle. After that he lost any pocket presence he ever had.

i'll say this though Chase had 10 times the moxy gabbert ever did.

never ask that ever...
'cause once you do life hauls out it's cock and slaps you across the face with it
and says "yup it can", and then shows you how much worse it can be
never ever how much worse

I'm glad he made some money - fine young man.

Bambi 08-21-2013 09:05 PM

I'll defend MU fans here. I really haven't heard from any that are excited about Daniels.

He's pretty good when there's no one standing in front of him. But that rarely happens when you'r trying to throw the ball in the NFL. Could have signed him for half of what they did too. That's what makes most of us upset at the situation.

hometeam 08-21-2013 09:06 PM

Chase Daniels assessment -

He sucks.

I am a HUGE MU fan.

He still sucks.

rageeumr 08-21-2013 09:19 PM

Full disclosure: Mizzou Fan.

I'm a little disappointed. He's had a pretty rough preseason. Not just the games, most of the reports from St. Joe said he wasn't playing well. He seemed to always play pretty well in the preseason for NO, so that's a little concerning.

I never believed he'd be a legitimate starter in the league. I really believed, though, that he had the potential to be a serviceable backup. A guy you could plug for 3-4 games and work around his limitations enough to pull out some W's.

In my opinion, he got too big of a contract. But hey...it's not my money.

$3.3 million is hefty for a backup, and that is a legitimate beef. But if we aren't near the cap and losing out on someone else because of it... I don't really care what Clark is doling out to individual players.

Pretty much this. He looked so good running the Saints offense in the past. Of course, this is all new stuff for everybody, not just him. It's not like he's getting rock solid protection on every play. But still, I wish he looked better. He's still got time.

Who should the Chiefs have signed/traded/drafted?

Thats basically all I asked when the vultures were calling for Cassel's head on a player before the season in 2010....

And because of it I got labled (by you and others) as a ball washer.

Yet i never said anything much more than "well what else do we have ?"

So are you an ALex SMith Ball Washer?

DO you like the trade?

I wouldve done Matt Flynn for a 5th rounder , personally

I think the Raiders got a way better deal....for a stop gap kind of guy...but of course I know I could be wrong, if ALex turns out to be more than a 2 year itch scratch.

There were viable options for what we threw away (a 34trh overall pick + more)
