Another Bronco Arrested

This isn't a big deal really, but the Broncos need to hire a babysitter for every single player or something. These guys clearly don't know how to function in society.

Julius Thomas, Denver Broncos player, arrested for failing to appear in court

Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas was arrested in August after he failed to appear in Arapahoe County court for a traffic offense.

Thomas, 25, was charged with failing to yield to an emergency vehicle on Jan. 25, according to court records.

He was scheduled to appear in court for the misdemeanor charge on March 21. Thomas did not appear for the hearing.

According to state records, Thomas was arrested by Arapahoe County Sheriff's deputies on Aug. 28.

Thomas posted the $500 bond the same day he was arrested, according to court records.

I'd be pretty disappointed if the NFL started suspending players for petty legal issues.

This means nothing in the grand scheme of things other than the Broncos have a lot of really dumb players.

Dumbass shouldn't skip court appearances

Garcia Bronco 09-05-2013 12:29 PM

It's wierd in Co. you don't sign a ticket agreeing to appear...so you might leave the traffic stop not realizing you need to appear. No excuse, but it happens.

I'll admit I don't know anything about this, but that seems odd. I can't imagine that they assign a court date on the spot at the traffic stop, so wouldn't you at least get a notice in the mail?

The assign the court date on the spot for most offenses. It says on the ticket that you have to appear, but you have to find it and you don't sign like in some states agreeing to appear.

RealSNR 09-05-2013 02:18 PM

Wait so in Colorado do you have to go to a court date for traffic offenses?

Like, if you get a speeding ticket? You have to go to court? You can't just pay the fine?

RealSNR 09-05-2013 02:21 PM

It just makes no sense that two players from the same goddamn team got traffic offenses, signed up to go to court as an appeal, and then didn't show.

Like... is there stupid in the water in Denver? What the ****?

It depends on the offense.

Speeding under 20 over I think you can pay upfront. Over that you have to appear. DUI you have to appear. Expired or failure to provide proof of insurnace you have to appear. Example: Illegal left turn...you can appear or pay early. Pay early and it's 1 point on your lic..appear and lose and it's pay fine, cost of court, and 4 points o your lic out of a possible 5(hmmm guess I'll pay)

I was gonna go to court, but then I got high......

Seems to me the Broncos just need to hire somebody to drive these dumb asses to court.

That much money you represent the league 24/7 this should be at the least a very substantial fine/donation to the charity of Rogers choice. Nothing these guys do illegal should be taken lightly. Hit them with percentage fines so it's fair and maybe start to deter some of their actions.

Low percentage fine is still astronomical to some of these NFL players. Have to start deterring the bullshit somewhere.

You want to work here you will represent all that is good or you get the nutthooks.
