I was definitely pulling for him to get fired so we could make a run at him for DC.

Even a quick passing offense can't keep firing when you have pressure straight up the middle. We got none and Lotulelei blowing through the center just absolutely detonated Brady's plan on that play.

Poe was the key to yesterday and he was largely neutralized. Next time they play, Hali/Houston need to force some doubles and allow Poe to get that pressure up the gut. If not, we're likely boned again.

I rarely see him drawing attention away from Poe on the rush. I don't think he'd have made a difference in freeing Poe up at all.

They weren't, but against manning last night, it was tough. I think the officiating really negated what we want to do in the defensive backfield. We couldn't be physical and re route wrs so we stopped trying and that allowed them to get the ball out quick.

If Cam Newton ever learns some touch, the league is in trouble. He's already improving at his progressions and reading defenses. He's built like Roethlisberger but runs like Cunningham. That sideline route he just threw was a thing of beauty.

Newton has as many tools as anyone in the league, Luck included.
