The 49ers are 8-4 and face the Seahawks, @Bucs, Falcons and @Cardinals.

The Chiefs are 9-3 and face the @Redskins, @Raiders, Colts and @Chargers.

I think in the worst case, the Chiefs will go 2-2 in the remaining games. They may well do 3-1 or 4-0.

People on CP will be calling Wendler a welcher for years to come but its not wholly justified. I cannot think of a bet he has made, in recent memory, that he has welched on. When I first came around in 06... yeah, I can think of 2 bets he welched on and I'm sure that there were others before that.

That said... that Zerba did indeed change its stripes. He has given up his sig and AV, for a bet, on several occasions that I can recall. Callin him a welcher now is like calling me a Jehovah's Witness now because I used to be one years and years ago.

This computer has me feeling a little giddy. Last time I built one, I called it the WOPR. That's lasted me four years, with upgrades along the way (the only thing that still exists from that one is the motherboard). So, I guess this one will be the WOPR Junior.

It's amazing to me how many options there are now, with literally every component. I started a parts list about three weeks ago, and figured I'd have everything ordered by the end of that week. As of today, I have the case. Everything else is up in the air. :)

Marcellus went from being a alright poster, who really I never paid much attention too, to the most complete moronic true fan on this site in just one off season. Let's be honest, this bet was laughably one-sided before the year and Clay "made it" because the 9ers were predicted to be some 4-5+ games better than KC. You really think he's paying that coin if KC somehow manages to claw out 1 extra win than SF before the end of the year?

I made the bet knowing I had decent chance of losing but knew the team would be better than most expected and also believed SF would regress mainly due to Kap.

It wasn't far fetched and looks to be very accurate. While we have won a few games against really bad teams, we would have beaten SD without the injuries on defense. I have zero doubt.

All in all we have a very winnable schedule the next 4 games. SF picking up a game on us is going to be very tough. Especially after we beat Washington and they lose to Seattle this week.

Dave, I like you. But this post is way offbase. I know Marcellus personally, and what I know is that he is a reasonable poster. Our team has exceeded year 1 expectations already, and are headed in the right direction. With all of the constant nitpicking, and criticism I find Marcellus to be a voice of reason in the grand scheme of our team, and it's state of affairs. I understand frustration with the details, but you're coming down way too hard on one of our solid posters, and overall good guys.
