Randoms thoughts about Chiefs Super Bowl victory
I think because I grew up with slow-motion NFL films I really thought the players were plodders. They look pretty fast to me. The RB for the Chiefs was nimble as well. Lots of I formations that the chiefs switch to pro set. Stenerod is beasting early.

There was a spoken word National Anthem...with Music it was quite weird. The crowd sung. So you had the horns blasting national anthem, some don wrinkles looking mother ****er speaking the National Anthem and the crowd singing it.

Pontiac just had their ugly ass car. Wow...70 pontiac was aweful.
|
Bobby, Buck, Willie were all fast...Bobby Bell could turn the corner and get in on the quarterback nearly as fast as D. Thomas!...it was an awesome game to watch, great for the city!

It was called the "tight I." The back lined up right behind the QB was actually a tight end, and they simply shifted him to one side or the other. So, at the last minute, the opposing defense would have to react to which side became the strong side. It confused them repeatedly - they were even jumping offside in reaction to our shifts. Amazingly, the Vikings never put a man in motion, nor had one pre-snap shift during the whole game.

Southern University is doing the halftime show!

Mcvey #6 had a nice run.

From my boyhood memory, I always thought the Otis Taylor reception was on a long bomb. In reality, it was a short pass with a great yards after catch.
|

That was a reenactment of the Battle of New Orleans.
Also loved the dueling trumpets at the beginning of the game, with Al Hirt representing the NFL and Doc Severinson for the AFL. Those were the days. |
