First, why don't we have an official bowl thread?

Second, I've always wondered why sprint doesn't jump into the whole bowl bid and host a bowl at arrowhead? I wouldn't mind going to watch a couple of random teams play each year...

Why not make a bowl games thread instead of this?

I don't want to be the OP of THAT thread....

There are 35. They have so many now NO1CURR.

Bowl games go to cities that people want to vacation to and/or have indoor stadiums. KC can't provide either one. St. Louis would get a bowl before KC does.

The Gator Bowl is here in town. I've been twice in 25 years. Sounds like a good idea until you show up and can't figure out who to cheer for. Kinda like playing poker with monopoly money.

Texas has 48 passing yards and no TDs...however...they have 75 (return) yards passing and 2 TDs to Oregon.

I honestly don't understand how all these games are supported. People can't be interested in seeing most of these games.

Hence why they all got sponsors now. They are turning it into a profit for publicity.

I think that was more of an observation than a complaint.

My "complaint" would be these teams that tout themselves as going to a bowl game as some sort of major accomplishment. Yeah, you and 69 other teams.

Lamar wanted to host one in KC for years...put together several proposals. The only conference that listened was Big 12 and they still said thanks but no thanks.

Evans ran a fly pattern. The ball was thrown to the other side of the field. He never got near the defender. They threw a late hit flag on him...his second 15 yard penalty of the quarter. If the fix isn't in, it's never been in.
