The sweet taste of Manning tears

How will you be celebrating the defeat of Peyton Manning and those jackass Donkeys?

Will you be signing up on a Broncos forum to talk shit after they lose to the Seahawks? Will you call a Donk fan you know, and rub it in their face that noodle neck lost it for them? I personally plan to walk up to a Donk fan in the bar after the loss, and open hand slap him in the face.

Please discuss.

Rasputin 01-19-2014 09:11 PM

We haven't been to a GD Super Bowl in 40 years and we are suppose to make fun of them if they lose?

scho63 01-19-2014 09:13 PM

Those Seahawks play some nasty shit defense and I'm curious to see how they play without their home crowd. Denver also will be without the home crowd but they play much more in the cold.

They could cripple Peyton....

Well shit yea. What, should we celebrate them winning instead? I mean, if we can't win it we might as well enjoy the suffering of our mortal enemy

Dumb.

Denver, you suck!

Hell yes we should. Second place is no better than last place in pro sports. They have to win or they have failed with a qb they gavd 40 MIL to.

Red Dawg 01-19-2014 09:27 PM

This will PM last game win or lose. He knows he will not get there again either way.

GoChargers 01-19-2014 09:33 PM

If Fivehead doesn't win it all with THIS team, there is no erasing the choke artist label. Go Seahawks!

If anything, you can laugh at Denver more than usual if they lose.

This is it for Manning. He won't be coming back at age 38 and replicating what he did this year.

This is their last gasp at a SB for awhile and it would be hilarious if they paid Manning all that money and came up short.

Maybe it's just because the Chiefs haven't won a playoff game in 20 years, but I'd consider a Super Bowl loss to be a wildly successful season. Manning probably wouldn't be happy about it, but acting like he'll be distraught is silly.

Make no mistake about it, the Broncos are going to win.

The upside is that Manning will then retire.

Eleazar 01-20-2014 12:02 PM

Of course, we all know this is rigged, so matchups don't matter. We only need to break the game down by talking about what possible storylines the NFL might want to advance.

Will Manning retire and vacate the championship? Will there be a heel turn for Russell Wilson? At a critical moment, will Tom Brady run out onto the field and hit the referee with a folding chair?

He owns the record books, he silences his critics, and he goes out a winner.

He's already told a few people as much...

Donger 01-20-2014 12:07 PM

I read somewhere that Manning has a neck evaluation coming in March. Built into his contract.

Who? The only thing I've seen is him saying is that he'll have his neck evaluated and go from there.

I think these guys quit when they're ready (or forced) to stop playing and 'going out a winner' doesn't much enter into it. Elways was going to retire anyway. Ray Lewis was going to retire anyway.

See, that would actually be something worth watching.

It's the Super Bowl so anything can happen, but I tend to favor the Broncos in this game. Sherman will take D Thomas out of the game but then they still have Julius Thomas, Decker, and Welker. Not to mention Moreno out of the backfield.

Seattles defense is not the same outside of their stadium, plus Wilson is not a great qb yet.

I think it will be close with Denver winning at the end.

They've talked about it on ESPN, NFLN, and Sirius. He's been hinting to friends and others for months that if they win it all, he'd strongly consider retiring.

Hinting that he'd consider it? Meh, sounds like something a reporter says so they'll have something to fill airtime.

I don't buy it for a second either.

He's currently finishing the greatest season ever by a qb. So clearly he should hang em up. :hmmm:

He's had two nearly career threatening injuries. Why risk it when there's nothing left to gain. He'll have won rings with two different teams and rewritten the record books in the process.

Hopefully Fivehead retires in shame after throwing yet another game-losing pick-six in the Super Bowl. We're all sick of him. And hopefully Brady retires soon after him.

Some of these guys just report what the other reporter said.

He may retire, I have no insider info. I'm just saying that it is an easy story for the ESPN guys or whoever to fill airtime with and all they have to do is say he's dropped "hints" that he'd "consider" it. Those so-called "hints" could actually be absolutely nothing.

What does he have to gain? A shitload of money, more records (all-time passing yards, TDs), another SB.

A lot of these guys fear the end. Not saying Peyton does, but many pros work so hard to get to and stay on top, that they don't know what they would do without that structure and discipline. T.O comes to mind as someone like that.

I just don't see him retiring while he's still so dominant. I watched him for many years as a Colts fan and I honestly believe he's NEVER been better than he is right now.

He risked it every time he's ever stepped on the football field. How is it any different now?

Of course, he does have young children, so that may factor in.

I don't know, I just don't see it.

Career TDs he would easily get next year. Career passing yards he would need next year and 1 more year.

I'd assume there's some of the more obscure records he doesn't have yet. Most 300 yard games? 400 yard games? I don't know about those.

His neck is a wildcard of course, but you only get one chance at this career. I don't think these guys hang it up until they are good and ready to do so (or are forced to). There's really no coming back, so they have to be damn sure they're ready or it will eat at them that they still had something in the tank.

Maybe it's happened, but I just con't remember anyone who wasn't already planning to retire, suddenly retire after winning so they could "go out on top." I think 'going out on top' is something fans make more of than the players.

Yes, because winning the ****ing SB is the motivating factor behind retirement.

Manning is HOF first ballad when he retires and gets ready in five years just if and when!

The best was posting (for all my Donk fan friends to see) something absolutely passive aggressive to rub it in:

"I love a good Donkey beatdown as much as the next Chiefs fan, but I'd at least like to see them make a game of it."

The only thing better than the Chiefs winning it all, is another team winning it all in the manner I wish the Chiefs would play.

Worked for the Ravens, Pats and Bucs in the past dozen years.

And the Hawks ran it LIKE A BAUCE, and Joe Seahawk got to see it live. I'm a ****ing pig in slop, all things considered.
