2014 offseason Wish List
So, with the Broncos in the SB, I'm pretty much done with the NFL for now. So, lets turn to the Chiefs offseason.
Whats your wish list, player wise? I'll leave mine here, I'm not playing in the salary cap, just a quick wish list. Chris Clemons, FS. Jeremy Maclin, WR. Donald Butler, ILB (would actually be my prize piece of FA, doubt the Chargers let him go). Resign Schwartz to play RG These are just my golden goose wish listers. |
Emmanuel Sanders
Dennis Pitta ( No way the Ravens let him walk) Arthur Jones Chris Clemons Geoff Schwartz |
Quote:
Clemons is a nice option. Geoff isn't going anywhere. Pitta. Eek. I don't know. Would be GREAT for Alex Smith let me tell ya. |
At this point I'd just get o e of the 3 tight ends in the 1st round.
|
Oh and Nightfyre, Q!!!
|
Resign Abdullah.
Resign Schwartz. Maclin in FA. Antonio Smith in FA. Winston Justice or some competent swing tackle in FA. Draft one of the stud TEs in round 1. Draft a passrusher in round 3. Go heavy on DBs the rest of the way. |
I'm not as worried about our offense at this point, but I think Chris Clemons and Donald Butler would make the defense very exciting to watch.
|
Maclin
Marqise Lee (creating tons of competition at the WR spot) Solid DB in Free Agency Resign Schwartz and Abdullah. |
Geoff Schwartz
T.J. Ward Golden Tate Dennis Pitta |
I'm afraid Tate will be out of our price range.
|
Re-sign Schwartz and Abdullah
Veteran Safety Tate Pitta Draft Tuitt |
I think all of the following would be really cost effective signings...
Schwartz Abdullah Bethea Worilds Jones Then, draft one of the guys in my sig in the first...if 3 guys are still on the board, start calling around to see if we can add a pick by moving down a few spots. If we could add a third or even a fourth and still get one of the guys in my sig, I'll JIMP. Let the board decide who we take in the third, but going by depth of positional talent and trying to predict who would make the most sense in the third and fourth is probably gonna boil down to a linemen or one of the following positions because this is a very strong class for WR, OL, DL, QB and TE. |
Trade Hali for JJ Watt, Bowe for Megatron, Sign Byrd, trade flowers for Revis.
|
I'm going to be realistic.
Free agents: Ed Dickson, TE; Baltimore Riley Cooper, WR; Eagles Nate Allen, S; Eagles Marshall Newhouse, OL; Packers Rob Jackson, OLB; Redskins Resign the following: Geoff Schwartz, OL; Chiefs Husain Abdullah, S; Chiefs Dexter McCluster, WR; Chiefs Tyson Jackson, DL; Chiefs |

We can also rollover 2.5 from the amount we were under 2013s cap.

$4m will do it -- but $3m? NO CHANCE! |
Schwartz has been bouncing around from team to team on 1 year deals for awhile.
I bet he would jump at 3years for 8 with another's mill or two available for playing time incentives. Teams aren't gonna come beating his door down with a lot more than that. |
