Not a good sign for tomorrow
The Missouri Department of Transportation has issued a "no travel advisory" for tomorrow's winter storm. Conditions will become very treacherous with the combined snow and wind.

Old Man Winter took his Viagra this year, that's for sure.

I have an honest, yet somewhat stupid question regarding tomorrow's weather and missing work.
I'm scheduled to work 3-10 tomorrow at a business that may close early due to the weather, which we did last year during a big snow storm. Rather than battle driving through downtown and risk being sent home early, I'd rather just call in due to the weather and the fact that MoDOT has asked that nobody travel unless it is a "dire emergency". If I were to call in, could I be reprimanded or would I have a decent defense with the "no travel advisory"? |

I'm taking the ****ing GRE tomorrow...
I mean I could use more time to relearn 7th grade math but I'm not going to make an application deadline if I can't take the test tomorrow. |
Snowpocalypse 2014... it's good to be able to work from home.

Lol.
Hard to snow when it's sunny and 75 |
I work for the City of CoMo and they already called it "closed" for tomorrow!! Yippie! It will be funny though if the forecast doesn't come through.
|
It snows in Kansas. People forget that.

I think more info is needed to answer your question, including the specific rules for such things at your place of employment. |

**** that, MDOT ain't the boss of me. |
I really didn't get what all the fuss was about-- I mean, what's the big ****ing deal with 8" of snow?-- until someone pointed out that it'll be falling on top of existing ice. Add atlanta's cluster****, and you've got a public meltdown

I hope MoDot is on their shit this time, during the ice buildup over the weekend they were nowhere to be found while the major highways were getting frozen up. Best not to be reactionary in a situation like that. Hopefully they've pretreated the roads this time properly.

we are just trying to get some rain out this way :(
