Yep Wichita is a pro prostate manipulation city. You didn't know that? I think it even says that on the website.

It is a historic site, but was closed due to sequester cuts, and for some reason, has yet to be reopened.

What do you like? Dining, sports, movies, bars, gay porn?

If you can, stay at the Hotel at Old Town, puts you in the middle of a lot of nice restaurants, bars, etc.

CrazyPhuD 02-06-2014 10:27 PM

The Weather?

Fish 02-06-2014 10:28 PM

Zoo is great.
One of the best golf courses in the state right down the road, Prairie Dunes.

But the weather might not cooperate this time of year.

Old Town is cool for a drinks/movie.

If it were me, I'd head just down the road to Hutchinson and go to the Kansas Cosmosphere....

Fish 02-06-2014 10:29 PM

If the Thunder is playing in town, you should check em out too...

Absolutely nothing. I've lived just about everywhere in the continental 48 and Wichita ranks at the bottom. Omaha's not far behind, though.

I think the biggest thing you'll find in that shit hole is unemployment.

GloryDayz 02-06-2014 10:50 PM

Hunkering down in your hotel room with MREs and never going outside until it's time to report the stolen car and getting a cab to the airport.

Abba-Dabba 02-06-2014 11:21 PM

It really depends on what you consider cool or fun. Wichita isn't a city with tourist attractions. It's a city to raise a family, buy a home, make a little money and that's about it. As others have said, beyond Old Town you really aren't going to have much this time of year. And even Old Town can be iffy. Maybe Exploration Place or Museum of World Treasures. Catch a movie, meal and drink after 8pm in Warren Old Town Theatre. Under 18 not allowed after 8pm.

Anything on South or North Broadway... run away. The better parts of the city are the Northeast side and far out west. Everything in between is fly over time.

arrwheader 02-06-2014 11:40 PM

Well I've been enslaved in this town for some time now and I can tell ya, stay away. It's where people come to die and if your young and single it's really hell but you might get lucky and go to Jerry's and get a blow job in the parking lot from a cougar if that's what your into but you might also catch aides. Also you will probably catch aides if you go anywhere south Wichita.

Darien25 02-06-2014 11:48 PM

Wichita is a great place to live as long as you don't care about entertainment, dining options, shopping or any type of recreational activity. I think Park City may have a few things to do like tractor pulls in the old Kansas Coliseum or maybe a good flea market but if not you could always check out the BTK's old digs.

HolyHat 02-06-2014 11:56 PM

As far as food, go to the anchor and get the "burn, baby burn"

pr_capone 02-07-2014 05:27 AM

Food: Bomber Burger, The Oasis, La Gallette (deserts especially).

Entertainment: Moseley Street Melodrama (dinner/show+audience participation), Warren Theaters ($5 on Wed. in downtown), Wichita Thunder (next home games 9th, 22nd), Kansas Cosmosphere (in Hutchinson).

Things to see: nothing

Chris has a good burger and fries at Bomber burger. Check him out on his web page. He is a steelers fan and has a burger called the bus. 3 patties and 6 cheese. I had in last week. You won't need fries. It's over two pounds.

B&C creations all you can eat BBQ

My buddy has a place in Augusta just east of Wichita his BBQ Joint is called No Mercy. If you need anyone to grab a meal or something. No homo

Damn dude you looking close. She must have lifted her spare tire to show you the scars. the trick is to roll a marble across her ass and get it to rest in one of her cottage cheese dimples.

Predarat 02-07-2014 07:20 AM

The Thunder fight alot, so that might be fun. But I hear you have to be willing to be molested by the gate security folks to get into a Thunder game now that they are in the new arena.

It was kinda funny. Nobody was paying her any attention so I go up to stage and give her a buck. She mutters something in my ear - "I'll do it for $200" and I'm like "wat?" Then she looked me up head to toe and said "actually, you're cute I'll do you for $100". Yea... I went to the other side of the strip club after that.

Beef Supreme 02-07-2014 10:55 AM

I was stationed there twenty years ago. Glad to hear that nothing much has changed. LMAO

Titty bars, Flop. That's about as good as it's going to get there this time of year.

You're a gamblin' man, right Flop?

There's a pretty nice casino like 10-15 minutes south. Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Ks.

That's about it.

They do have Cinnamon's Deli for lunch. That place kicks a bit of ass, or at least it used to.

Yes he is, as are quite a few other planeteers. Like any city, it is what you make of it. I lived there about 40 years and raised a family. Never went a day without a job, plenty of employment if you are of a mind that you actually want to work.

If you like bowling, golf, drag racing, circle burners, gambling, eating out, shooting darts, playing pool, watching minor league sports or hanging out at bars, visiting a world class zoo, Art museum, visiting the Indian Center there are lots of choices.

Like someone mentioned, if you like College Basketball, the Shocks are ranked 4th in the Nation right now, and if you can get a ticket there is nothing like watching them at the "roundhouse" it rocks.

The younger crowd really likes the scene at Old Town, that is pretty much party town IMO.

Heck, if you just want to drive around, there is some nice scenery, like "Keeper of the plains", the aircraft plants might be interesting to drive by for an out of towner.

Someone also mention the Oasis Lounge, one of the best burgers around. RIP Ray Larkin!

GloryDayz 02-07-2014 02:29 PM

Angelo's used to be the best in town. The original place was on Harry and then they opened a second location on West Street then moved it out on central. I guess they have been closed down a while, and I heard that they were sick of the amount of taxes they had to pay. I will check out DeFazios next time I am in town, thanks! :thumb:

I am actually friends of Connie's Mexico Cafe on FB, but I still prefer El Mexico on South Seneca and would die for one of their all meat burritos right now. But the rest of my family prefers Connies, and a few of the others, as last time we were there, El Mexico need to remodel and put some new furniture in the place.

Head to the corner of Central and Ridge. Ask for Betty. She licks a great butthole. Cheap too.

El Mexico is good, but I prefer the spicier food at Connie's. Connie's got a much needed remodel after somebody drove their car into the place. Next time you're in town maybe you need to make El Mexico a drive-in and help kick start their remodel.

LMAO Yeah, that location of Connies is prone to that. I actually prefer not to go to that part of town if possible. I was really shocked at the condition of El Mexico's booths last time we were in there and I haven't been able to get anyone to go back in with me. My wife preferred the one that was at Douglas and West St. then moved out on Maple and Tyler or Ridge. Can't remember the name of it, but she loves Mexican food.

The other thing about Wichita, is the taco joints. They are thicker than Italian Beef sandwich places up here. Taco Grande is the shit! Taco Js, Taco Rio etc. I thought I might die the last time we stopped into a Taco Tico, and that is a shame.
