Culver's
They're opening one just down the road from me. I've never had it. Never seen one in KC. Any good?
|
Nothing special, but definitely edible food.
|
Good Ice cream and butter burgers, IIRC
|
Pretty good, better than most fast food places.
|
Its no In and Out or Whataburger, but old white people love it.

I've got one less than 5 minutes from my house. It's decent, but nothing special IMO.
|
I like it.
More expensive than a McD's but better quality of food and bigger selection. Check out their menu online... |
It's ****ing delicious, man.
|
Meh...Ive had better, Ive had worse...
|
It's better than your lower end fast food burgers for sure.
Ice cream selection is legit as well. |

On a side note, Culver's is a cool ass place.
My buddy wrote some really ****ing bizarre bullshit letter to see if they'd give him some free food. They apparently loved the letter and mailed him back an envelope stuffed with coupons for free stuff. Was neat as hell when you're a poor college student lol |

I was wondering if it was a regional chain expanding. I've barely heard of it. Never seen one in the KC area.

It's worth trying for sure. Suffice it to say, it's dinner when you don't want to cook.

It's doooooope.

Is it similar to Braums? Love me sum Braums

Its somewhat similar to Freddies Frozen Custard, but not as good.

Same deal: comes plain you tell them what you want on it. 3 can eat at Culvers' for what you'd pay for 2 at 5 guys... |

Though you may have never had Freddies Frozen Custard so my post above might be useless.
|
It's basically the poverty Braum's of the midwest.
|
They have cheese curds.
|
Freddy's is better.

I can get a much, much better burger for a couple bucks more at BRGR or Beer Kitchen. |
Lots here in MPLS.
Better than 'fast food' Good tenderloins and custard. |
5 guys burgers are the number 1
Culvers is ok. It's like steak and shake or winsteads or Freddy's In and out is overhyped Snack pak at culvers is the cheapest deal |

It's way, way overrated. I'd rather get a burger from Steak 'n Shake or Red Robin, and it's about the same price. |
Really good Concrete's. Blueberry is the best

Burger Wars!

Red robin burgers are tasty but pricey
5 guys is taxing also |
Red Robin patties are more mysterious than even that of Wendy's meat.
|
Wendy's "meat"
|
I bit into something hard at Red Robin - OK?
Forever disgusted. You just can't undo that. |

Another place that is definitely better than Five Guys is Hi-Boy.

Their frozen custard is. Vanilla with brownie pieces and raspberries - my bimonthly treat.
|
If you want a really good burger, hit up a BRGR in KC. I'm also still a Westport Flea Market Loyalist.
|
This is Red Robin:

One good burger I remember is Bionic Burger in Wichita. Those things were awesome, not sure if they are still around or not.

BRGR. Gods gift to burger enthusiasts.http://media2.kshb.com//photo/2013/1...31_640_480.JPG

I've had a lot of good burgers. Hands down, the worst was White Castle. Holy shit, what vomit fuel.

Liberty has a 5 guys, red robin, and Culvers.
They all suck. |

that patty doesn't looked browned well - all of the ornaments look pretty - but I need to see more marking or sear, I don't want a burger that looks to have been cooked on low in a skillet.
|
Ottos in KC used to be pretty good - they're no longer in biz though.
