Ware Visiting Broncos

just heard on NFL Netwrok. Its his only scheduled visit. Yikes Ware and Miller on edges?? =0

Bowser 03-11-2014 08:45 PM

**** Ware for going to the Broncos, and **** the Broncos for being the Broncos.

Deberg_1990 03-11-2014 08:45 PM

Chiefs go 2-14 in 2014

Mother****erJones 03-11-2014 08:46 PM

Ya don't say

Messier 03-11-2014 08:47 PM

Maybe wishful thinking, but I think Ware is about done as a top shelf pass rusher.

BossChief 03-11-2014 08:49 PM

You've gotta be kidding me, right?

Still disruptive and effective.

Heck, he's as good as Hali.

Red Dawg 03-11-2014 08:51 PM

So what. The Dallas defense was so bad it set records. Ware is overrated as hell.

Hali could fall off a cliff too.

Just saying, 32 to start the season, 6 sacks last year.

Well, he certainly wasn't suited to play with his hand in the dirt as a DE in Monte Kiffin's Cover 2 scheme. In Denver he'll stand up and rush the passer as their ROLB. Couple that with Von Miller on the other side and newly acquired TJ Ward playing SS, and the Broncos have SIGNIFICANTLY upgraded their overrated D from last year.

Who are the starting CBs?

Ware was completely misused by Dallas. Like, criminally so.

If he goes to Denver, he's going to have 10+ sacks in that scheme easily.

Not sure, but their jobs just got easier. Still the weak link of their D.

ThaVirus 03-11-2014 08:55 PM

I don't even give a shit. The Broncos had their chance to win it all last season and couldn't get it done. My guess is, that was their last shot.

Ultimately, this.

Messier 03-11-2014 08:56 PM

I just think acting like they are going to have a super hero pass rush is pushing it. I think Ware gives them what they got from Phillips last year, which was really good.

I'm not sure that's how it would play out, but if it did that's actually be a win for us.

D Ware playing OLB in the 4-3? Dude is a pass rusher, plain and simple. He'd be like a fish out of water in coverage, probably worse than Hali.

Plus, if he were to be an OLB, they'd have to split pass rush opportunities between him and Von Miller. Von Miller rushing the passer on a fewer percentage of plays is a good thing.

TribalElder 03-11-2014 08:58 PM

We sent our O line packing

Denver loads up on rush

Alex better get an aflack policy to protect his anus LMAO

Donkeys signing all these free agents and it still doesn't change the fact that their quarterback chokes in big games.

LMFAO

ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL

Your QB can't even make it to the SB. I'll take a Superbowl loss over ZERO SB victories in the history of ever.

Or 30+ years without even a playoff win for that matter.

ForeverChiefs58 03-12-2014 05:10 AM

@AdamSchefter: One AFC West official who tried to get DeMarcus Ware to visit his city said he was told "you're not going to like where he winds up."

I love this bullshit thinking.

What does it matter about the Chargers? Like making a comment on Manning being an epic choker can only be made by people who root for a team with a better QB?

Dunerdr 03-12-2014 06:32 AM

I'll laugh my ass off when Houston breaks five heads neck in our first game against them and all this coin and Super Bowl dreaming goes down the shitter.

They get a lot more from Talib and Ward. Those moves are the ones that hurt the most.

Strongside 03-12-2014 06:38 AM

That team had better win it all this year, because they're going to have some SERIOUS cap issues as soon as 2015. Even to the point that they'll have to clean house. The Peyton Manning Broncos will be the Curtis Painter Colts. Is winning right now really worth a 5-7 year rebuilding process? Can't wait for that.

Mother****erJones 03-12-2014 07:00 AM

**** yes it is. They signed him to win a super bowl

If they win a trophy, it's ABSOLUTELY worth it.

2 surgeries the last 2 years and a noticeable drop in play. He's not what he uses to be

That's funny, considering Fivehead has a losing record in the playoffs and has lost to Rivers in the postseason twice.

Fivehead = biggest choker in NFL history. Deal with it.

A Super Bowl win justifies it. Besides, didnt you think the same thing when Denver first signed Manning? Yet EVERY year they are active in Free Agency...:hmmm:

No rebuilding process takes 5-7 years unless management is screwing up routinely and dramatically.

Even coming back from total cap purgatory shouldn't take more than 2-3 years to be competitive again.

Mile High Mania 03-12-2014 08:27 AM

It's a win now window... we'll see what happens cap wise in 2-3 years, but I have to imagine these deals are being structured in a smart manner.

It's not wishful, it's trusting what you see. Ware has been injury riddled these past couple of years and isn't near the beast he was several years ago. IF he gets the $$ he wants he will decline further. Count on it. He is done.

Decent read regarding Denver's salary cap numbers going forward. Doesn't look as bad as I had originally thought but is easy to see that Elway is going all in the last season or two PM is playing. As a Bronco fan, I am all for it as the ultimate goal is to win the SB. As Mile High Mania pointed out, it really is about how the deals are actually being structured versus the total amount imo.

When Peyton signed with Denver, it was "SB or Bust" and they had to go all in whenever they could because of the small window to win with him at QB. I'm thinking 2014 and maybe, maybe 2015 ... after that it's the next chapter.

Ware Visiting Broncos

Ok, so they signed an injury prone (as of late), 30+ year old pass rusher, an injury prone, basket case CB, and a run stuffing SS when they need more cover guys.

ForeverChiefs58 03-12-2014 12:03 PM

DeMarcus Ware's Denver deal will pay him $13M this year - $250,000 more than he was scheduled to make from Cowboys, who released him Tues.
