Kansas City: Shields (0-0, 4.26 ERA)

In for the pitcher's duel!

lewdog 04-06-2014 07:16 AM

I personally love great pitching games. I'd rather see a low scoring 1-0 game over a 10-9 game.

jwazzie 04-06-2014 07:55 AM

Hoping for some run support for Shields today.

ChiTown 04-06-2014 08:01 AM

Hoping to see Valencia at 3b today.

Mama Hip Rockets 04-06-2014 08:17 AM

Simplicity posted this but not sure where he found it. Danny in the lineup today.

In for no Mouse in the lineup.

dmahurin 04-06-2014 09:08 AM

I'll be at the game today. Can't wait.

Prison Bitch 04-06-2014 09:58 AM

If he plays Moose today vs Sale, he should be suspended from managing the rest of the month.

TLO 04-06-2014 10:26 AM

Looks to be another nice day out at the ballpark. Would be nice if the sun could break through the clouds though.

WakkaWakka 04-06-2014 10:38 AM

Lewdog's record in Royals game threads: 7-5.

C3HIEF3S 04-06-2014 11:36 AM

Should be a tough battle today, let's get the sweep!

penbrook 04-06-2014 11:39 AM

O Valencia! Lineup: Infante 4, Valencia 5, Hosmer 3, Butler DH, Gordon 7, Perez 2, Maxwell 9, Cain 8, Escobar 6, Shields 1.

CoMoChief 04-06-2014 11:39 AM

Royals need to wake up BAT!!!

Prison Bitch 04-06-2014 11:42 AM

I might've sat Hosmer and played Butler at 1B, with Sal at DH. Lefties cannot hit Sale, period.

CoMoChief 04-06-2014 11:47 AM

No Moose!!!!

true...but this is Ned Yost we're talking about here...which means whatever you think should happen in a lineup, Ned will probably do the opposite.

BlackHelicopters 04-06-2014 11:53 AM

Let's sweep them!!!

SPATCH 04-06-2014 12:07 PM

I'm going to disagree with all of you and say that you don't sit the best hitter on the team (forget the corresponding drop off defensively). Lineup was actually done 100% correctly today.

Canofbier 04-06-2014 12:11 PM

This ought to be a good one. Hope we can pull off the sweep!

TLO 04-06-2014 12:11 PM

1 pitch, 1 out.

Canofbier 04-06-2014 12:11 PM

Shields on pace for a 27-pitch perfect game!

TLO 04-06-2014 12:13 PM

1 on, 1 out.

TLO 04-06-2014 12:14 PM

Nice start for Shields.

Infante leading off today, has he had much experience hitting leadoff? Not very familiar with him, I must admit.

The field looks great, green with checkers pattern.

I didn't like how it was designed the year we had the All Star game.

I don't know if anyone else pays attention to that.

It does look very nice. I always thought it would be cool to be part of a major league grounds crew.

Couple of BS stirke calls.

Not really. However if dude is going to get the calls he got against Infante then it will be a long day. Hopefully either the Ump gets his shit together or Shields gets the same calls.

Dude, they weren't even close. 1 was maybe close to being close. 1 was bad enough a blind man would have known it wasn't a strike.

They should swap Butler and Perez in the batting order.

It will probably come to that if Belly can't knock runs in. Although he did have 2 RBIs yesterday.

Butler needs to get that "double gap power" back he had 4-5 years ago.

It was off the plate but Sale was never on the plate and was getting calls. The strike zone in and of itself has been Chicago friendly the entire series. Though the Ump's have made up for it a couple times with some BS check swing calls on the Sox

Mother****erJones 04-06-2014 12:35 PM

Yea because honestly the homer power doesn't seem to be there but hitting doubles is great in a park as big as the K. I'd love if he could just knock doubles all day.

Adam Dunn with none of the power.
