They finally get it...

We have Bowe, Avery and Hemmingway. Let's not forget Dressler too. Our WR corps are god awful. We should be eyeing a WR this entire time with our first pick. |

Hali was totally spent the second half of the season and a total nonfactor. He's also getting nicked up a bit. He's got some serious wear on the tread. I'd let him go after this year so yes, I agree: go with pass rush.

We also have to replace Hali and have leverage against Houston. Dee Ford accomplishes all of those things. |

I don't like Dee Ford. One trick pony and that one trick isn't even amazing.
I'd much rather Ealy (if there), Lawrence, Attaouchu, Bradford or Reilly if they go for a 3-4 OLB at 23. |
Really? Trevor Reilly at 23?

This FO is ****ing dumb if they draft an OLB with the first pick, and we're not trading Hali or Houston, it's not a priority and the 1st rd pick MUST start from day 1...not be a situational pass rusher.

Big, long frame (6'5", 245 lb.). Athletic (4.66 40, 34" vert, 9'9" broad) Married, two kids. Team captain. The problem with Reilly is that he does have the ACL history and will be a 26 year old rookie. The guy will leave it all on the field and can play all four LB positions in a 34 as a three/four down guy. I don't think I'd spend a first rounder on him. If he was there in the third, it would be an easy pick. I like Van Noy a little better, but both are incredibly similar players that would fit extremely well into this defense. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/oNt46EnN9Wk?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Sac pimping a player from Utah.
Shocking. |

After that, I'm not sure I care much about the 26 deal. Most NFL players don't make it more than 4 to 5 years in the league anyhow. To top it off, that's how badly I don't want Dee Ford's overrated ass on this football team. I'd actually consider a 26 year old that has torn his ACL before over Ford at 23. |

according to ESPN they have 23 players in the NFL. That is good, but nothing compared to some other schools such as USC, alabama, miami, ohio state, LSU...among others. |

The real reason is that idiots around here think I have some allegience to Utah, which isn't the case since I actually matriculated at the University of Kansas, but irregardless, they constantly throw out the "homer" tag. Like I said, the Utah schools have recently been putting out good prospective talent in aggreiate and I see a lot of it due to my interest in the college game as it translates to the professional ranks. Since I live in SLC I'm more in tune with this particular region than others I suppose. |
thanks for clarifying

I mean, when a guy like Cliff Avril looks all-world as a pass rush specialist, you really think that it's because of Cliff Avril's super pass rush talent versus the defensive scheme? Hmmm? |
Quote:
You don't have one. |

True and that was even the case BEFORE they made new holes during free agency. |
I'd be pissed. We have 1 pick in top 2 rounds. We need a playmaker.
