Who are you keeping an eye on?
 

Which rookies, not on this team, are you keeping an eye on this Pre-Season and the rest of this season? Here are a few of mine:

Aaron Donald: I wanted this guy on the Chiefs but he was obviously drafted way too high for us to have a shot at him. He's the fastest DT in the league with a 4.6 40 yard dash and was a 1-gap penetrating phenom in college. He's my early prediction for DROY barring any health issues. Can he carry his game over to the pros? Seeing as he was drafted by the Rams, it's going to be fun to watch that DL with Quinn, Brockers, Long, and Donald wrecking havoc up front.

Jordan Matthews: He was one of my favorite receivers in the draft. I'm curious to see how he develops as the season goes on. He should get plenty of opportunities to shine in the Kelly offense as one of the top 3 WRs in Philly.

Khalil Mack: He was another one of my favorite defensive prospects in the draft. He has all of the tools to become a great player in this league. Pissed me off when the Raiders drafted him (same thing with Ellis, Carr, and Dowling).

Jadeveon Clowney: I think that the Texans will be one of the most exciting front 7's to watch in the NFL if Clowney comes anywhere close to living up to his physical potential as a rookie. The biggest thing that he has going for him is that he will be playing with JJ Watt next to him. This pairing has the potential to look like the 49ers duo of Justin Smith and Aldon Smith on steroids.

Jimmy Ward: He was my favorite safety prospect in this draft and I really wish we would have drafted him, especially now that Commings is pretty much done. Ward really reminded me of Earl Thomas and I believe he has the potential to be just as good. Fantastic instincts, great range, great aggressive safety mentality, as fluid as they come with his movements, has the ability to drop down and shadow the slot receiver, and pretty much would have been the perfect compliment to Eric Berry. The only thing that Ward doesn't have going for him is his size.

Who are you guys keeping an eye out for this year from other teams?

Eric Ebron is the only guy I REALLY wanted, so I'll be watching him.

To be honest, I don't really care all that much about anybody who isn't here. I'll pay attention of course, but I won't be rooting for anybody who isn't in red.

Pretty much this, I dont cheer for individual players on other teams.

But I do kinda root for down on their luck clubs like Buffalo and Cleveland to climb back to respectability.

Carlos Hyde.

Gore is on the downhill slide. Hyde could be a beast in a run-heavy offense. Hunter is out for the year and he'll steal more and more touches from Gore as the season goes on.

In two years Hyde will be the best HB in the NFCW...

For me, jeremy hill. He was my fave back in this draft. Ebron, and dee Ford

CB Denard and any of the WR's.

:huh:He's 4th on the Lion's TE depth chart and reportedly had had issues with drops in camp.

He will come along

Thinking about players we didn't take in the draft is just dwelling on the passed.

If the secondary of this team is above average then I might have hope for this season. So I am keeping an eye on it.

Dennard, Benjamin and Joyner - all guys I would have taken in the first.

Then all the WRs who dropped past our pick in the third.

I've slowly become more of a college fan and NFL fan than just a Chiefs fan, so I'm interested in other players and their development.

Donte Moncrief, Deonne Buchanon, darqueze Dennard, teddy Bridgewater.

I think Cooks is going to go off this year and easily be OROTY.

Well, everybody that tunes into any sports channel is going to be forced to keep an eye on Manziel.

Jimmy Ward and Kyle Van Noy.

Those are the two guys I thought could do more to immediately help this defense than any player in the draft where we were picking.

I'm gonna' keep tabs on Lee. I didn't want him even though he was sitting there. If not for NO, we would be talking about Cooks instead of Ford. Cooks is dead to me, but it will be interesting to see if Lee lives up.

For the Chiefs.. Obviously Ford. I also am watching Fulton, Mauga, Wilson and Bronson.

It's only training camp, but both Donald and Van Noy have been standouts thus far from what I've read.

As Tebow was good Santa. Johnny Football will be Bad Santa. Since ESPN and NFL Net are gonna be all over him we might as well watch and relish the implosion.

Watching the Rams and Saints, Aaron Donald is a beast. Seems to get penetration on virtually every snap. Split through a double team and got after the QB on a roll-out. The Rams front 7 is going to be scary.
