Big Game James, our only hope.
|
We're not in "must win" territory yet. But, it would be really damned swell if we did.
|
well let's try this again
|
Let's do this.
Also, GO TWINS! |
This is a big game James. Need Big Game James to show up.
|
who farted?
|
Hope BGJ makes it through six so Ned doesn't have any hard thinkin' to do.

Somehow, me thinks it's 50-50 he would still screw it up. |
Go Sox!

In many ways, this could the final nail in our Central Division Title hopes. We are, for all intents and purposes, down 2 games to the Tigers. I see a glimmer of hope that we could take 2 of 3 from DET. But, if you are down 3 games going into the Tigers series, we are done. Detroit is going to sweep Minny. Book it. Unlike us, they aren't shitting their pants when the season is on the line, and their Manager isn't tinkering with their players, because it wouldn't be fair to not use Crowsy in the 6th............

If Ned gets stuck in traffic, we win.

At this point I just want a playoff spot this year so next season may be a little easier to swallow should Shields rejoin Price and become a Tiger next year. |
Go Royals!
:thumb: |
In to get back on track.
|
We really need a sweep bad. We need a 4-3 homestand going into the Detroit series.
|
pretty much need to sweep
we are down in the standings and are playing a poor team that we should beat breaking even is not currently an option |
|
Our #9 hitter has a 0.352 OPS.

Each game from here on out is the most important game of this season. And he trots out Jason Nix at 3rd base tonight? Is he trying to deflect criticism from his awful decision yesterday to use Crow in that situation? I don't even... |
Oh, I get it now.
In his career, Nix is batting .500 with an OPS of 1.000 against Danks. in 2 career plate appearances. :banghead: |
We're starting to see it. Nervous Ned. Here he comes.
|
Our AL Central Elimination number (and Detroit's magic number) is now 13.

I will worry about Detroit if we are less than two games back when we start our series against them. For now, I will continue my assumption that the division is essentially beyond reach.
That being said, in the next four days we have three against the White Sox while the Mariners have four against the Angels. This is our chance to put some breathing room between us and the Mariners which we desperately need. |

Stacking the righties tonight against a lefty.

I assume Willy is still hurt since he isn't in the lineup?

If they win 8 games we need to find 10 wins in the remaining 14 games, which includes the suspended game. I can't see that happening. |

#Royals Yost says he will be more inclined to use Herrera/Davis/Holland more than one inning moving forward. Public opinion now what Ned relying on to make his decisions. |
Nix............ lol.

DOwn by 1 in the first

I would be willing to be yesterday just killed this team and any hope they had.

Of course, Danks is 4-0 with a 1.90 ERA at the K.

I'm listening on the radio. There is a guy announcing for the Royals that seems to be working by himself. He is awesome. Hawk Harrelson can go jump in the lake.
Dinny |
Damn, 6-0 vs KC
|
Danks has owned the Royals.. which is why it was important for Shields to be Big Game.
|
Cain... fail.
|
Detroit is up 2-0
Top of 2nd inning |
It's the uniforms. The Sox can't beat the Royals no matter who is wearing them.
The Royals have da Sox right where they want 'em. Chin up. Dinny |
Plus 2 on, no outs

Danks actually threw more pitches that inning than Shields did.

There is no reason we shouldn't open a can of Adrian Peterson on the White Sox.
|
Looks as though our bats are still in the dugout
|
We aren't getting a clean stroke off Danks. This looks bad, including the Players body language. Shit.
|
We are choking away any shot at October
|
Jesus ****ing Christ.
|
2-0 incoming...
|
1st and 3rd no outs. Abreu up.......****!
|
This looks like a give up game.. the fans are completely out of it, the players are completely out of it. Aaron Crow and Ned might have completely sunk the season and that is too bad.

Dispense with the wringing and gnashing.
The Sox are right where the Royals want them. Don't duck. Let the sky do its thing. Dinny |
