Will the Royals still play "Don't Stop Believin'" if the Giants come to KC?

Here's why.....former Journey frontman Steve Perry is a huge Giants fan and has lead the crowd in singing both "Lights" and "Don't Stop Believin" during NLCS.

He has traveled with the team in 2010.

Just wonder if the Royals will still play the song if he's there?

I'd be totally stoked!

I think they should play it, but play a live cut with Perry's replacement singing it.

Demonpenz 10-16-2014 12:08 PM

cosmo20002 10-16-2014 12:10 PM

I hate that they play it. That's their thing and I don't like copying. Next we'll be playing Sweet Caroline.

Good point. The White Sox used it on their run a few years ago.

RollChiefsRoll 10-16-2014 12:43 PM

Just play We Ready.

Considering our current perceived lack of sportsmanship I would ride that pony to "**** you" by Ceelo Green

Yes they will. No, they won't do anything dumb like dub over someone else's voice. Yes, we will continue to say "born and raised to beat detroit"

Almost no one knew, and no one cares that the singer is a Giants fan.

Mojo Rising 10-16-2014 01:43 PM

He got all pissy about it when the Dodgers played the song a few years back and demanded that they stop.

Well, the Dodgers were their bitter rivals. It would be like the Yankees playing Sweet Caroline if Neil Diamond was a crazy rabid Red Sox fan.

Sweet Daddy Hate 10-17-2014 07:09 AM

Show some class. Play Muddy Waters.

synthesis2 10-17-2014 07:17 AM

We should just go ahead and start playing "we are the champions" . I mean we already know the outcome.. :)
