Sounds like they are real hard asses when it comes to taking time off.

I mentioned it in the other thread, but Korea is ****ed up about letting their employees take vacation days. It's not just Sung Woo's job. It's in the culture.

I expect this to not go well.

Let's pull back our presence from the DMZ until it happens.

I spend a lot of time in South Korea, so I know how they are. They work long hours with little time off. This is the reason they went from a pile of rubble after the war to the 15th biggest economic power in the world. It will be hard to convince them to let him off.

In this case it isn't true. I speak a little Korean, and read Korean well. They can certainly pronounce Ls. They can pronounce Ws. They don't have a Z or Q in their language so have trouble with them, but they aren't the stereotype, Ls and Ws are.

The ROK Army doesn't need us there, it's an alliance we volunteered to stay in until unification. We might be all that stops the ROK Army from finishing the job.

Actually, we have a plan to reduce troops, but the ROK government keeps delaying it. We also have an agreement to turn over control to them and they keep delaying that too. They would like to be responsible for their own defense, but aren't ready for it yet.
