Has anyone ever purchased from Vividseats?

I've been scouting out WS tickets all day. I saw 4 pop up in the lower level for a very low price compared to what i've been seeing all day. I snatched them up.

Hope they aren't fake or something.

yeah I have had very good luck with vivid seats in the past; Chiefs @ Titans, MU @ Vanderbilt and Jack White at the Midland.

I did get a call from them after the Jack White tickets and said someone got mine right before I did, so they offered me about the same tickets for like $20 more :|

I used them for football tickets. Didn't expect the $64 surcharge for 3 tix but I shoulda looked closer.

Nice. I don't know how their system works. The ticket is e-mailed to me, i'm just hoping the seller can't decide "Oops, I ****ed up" and cancel the sale. Not worried I wouldn't get my $$$ back, I just don't want the seller to have claim on the tickets anymore.

Why Not? 10-17-2014 08:38 AM

I was gonna use them if my friends hadn't scored me some tickets. They seem to be cheaper than the other broker sites.

ndws 10-17-2014 08:40 AM

I bought my WS tickets from them, back early in the Baltimore series. We disputed the actual delivery date (they were guaranteed by the 12th, and I didn't get them until the completion of the KC/Balt series, but I got them in hand and it all looks legit to me.

I should add that the cheaper ticket price is NOT what you pay. There is a service fee for the buyer, as well as the 10% they charge the seller...they are making bank on each ticket sale.

I've heard Giant fans are gobbling up tickets at Kauffman. Man I'd hate to see a bunch of them in the stands.

SO NERVOUS.

YOUR ORDER IS CONFIRMED. The estimated ship date is 10/17/2014. We are waiting for the seller to ship your tickets, and we are continually monitoring your order status. Please note our 100% Buyer Guarantee assures that your tickets will arrive in time for the event. There is no further action required on your part at this point. Their "support" will just copy/paste stuff from their FAQ, but in any case, I had that same butterfly feeling for about 4 days. You'll get them though, they came through.

:( Too good to be true. Seller ****ed up. On the bright side, I get a $250 one time promo code.

Bob Dole 10-17-2014 06:03 PM

Bob Dole bought his 9/29 MNF tickets from them. No issues.

"Giants fans"... "gobbling".

58-4ever 10-17-2014 07:23 PM

Look up their Trip Advisor reviews. I didn't buy from them after that. The prices are much better than Stubhub, but I didn't want to take the chance.

Wait until you get to the last screen and all the extra charges.

Yes. The annoying "Service Fee" part.

I hate 3rd parties. I'd prefer to buy them directly from the Royals Box Office and not give my money to the 3rd parties, who's trying to trump up frivolous charges.

He put in the wrong price?
Another possibility is he sold them somewhere else. There a lot of these Stubhub-type sites now and people list tickets on multiple sites. They sell on one site and they don't get the listing down quickly enough on the other sites and a second person buys the same tickets.

He must have. He put in $183 a ticket. Other tickets in that area were selling for $1000 a ticket.

That sounds like an error. What I said about listing on multiple sites is still true though.

Yep, agreed on both counts. Still great of Vivid to clear up the error so quickly and give me a credit.

Great Expectations 10-17-2014 09:20 PM

Vivid has very expensive fees for the buyer. They were going to charge me over $100 a ticket for some seats I was looking at buying.

lewdog 10-17-2014 09:25 PM

Yea I thought I was getting a hell of a deal on Vivid for some sporting event but the charges they stack on at the end are huge. I still saved over StubHub but instead of what looked like 25% cheaper really was only 5-10% cheaper.
