Chiefs | Daniel Sorensen added to roster

The Kansas City Chiefs signed practice squad FS Daniel Sorensen to their active roster Saturday, Nov. 1. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. In a corresponding move, the team released DE Damion Square. The team also re-signed OT Curtis Feigt to their practice squad.

Jfc. Here we go again. How many times is chiefsplanet going to rag on a guy for his preseason rookie performance? We have no ****ing clue what Sorenson has to offer.

I'm sure this is why the Chiefs made this move. The Chiefs are short on some special teaser this week. They are really banged up at corner, so if need be, Parker or Abdullah can take more reps at corner and you can slide Coleman or Sorensen at safety. He is probably going to play a lot of special teams and be an in case of emergency safety (which is probably an injury away)

I predict he recovers a fumbled punt today. He and Gaines will be all over it. He may also down a couple balls at the 2 yard line.

Gaines wasn't just bad this preseason. He was nightmarishly bad
Knile Davis was terrible in the preseason last year
Kelce had people talking bust when he continually dropped passes in the preseason

What is CP's obsession with judging rookies by their first preseason performance? Especially in this new day and age where rookies are at a tremendous disadvantage given the new CBA?

I can only judge what I see is all. I'm by no means super talent evaluator 3000, I just know form what I saw of him.. he didn't look good.

I assume he got cut for good reason. Hope he pans out.

He didn't get cut. He was kept on the practice squad.

This criticism isn't pointed at you as much as it is the barrage of CP critics who blasted the Chiefs for keeping him on their roster. Because he sucked in the preseason. Keep in mind that CP tore Gaines a new asshole because he wasn't nails in the preseason.

I don't know if Sorensen is any good. I realistically think he won't be much good. But I certainly don't think preseason in a rookie year is any measure. I'm sure they kept him around because of what they saw in OTAs, scouting evaluation, and practices.
