Anyone else fired up for Raider week?

Gotta say... I've enjoyed watching the Chiefs for some time. But been a while since I've really loved watching them play. Even the playoff teams last year and in 2010... enjoyed them, but not nearly as much as I like this team.

Let's beat the shit out of some Raidahs!

I honestly hate the Raiders more than any other team, Donkeys included. The way they try to play football and the most reeruned, thug fanbase in the NFL.

Psyko Tek 11-18-2014 09:43 PM

Not really, I can't even hate the raiders, just pity

Deberg_1990 11-18-2014 09:48 PM

Not really. The Raiders are a joke and we should roll

KCUnited 11-18-2014 09:48 PM

Thing of the past.

Deberg_1990 11-18-2014 09:53 PM

Chiefs haven't had a true rivalry with the Raiders for quite some time.

Denver is much more of a true rivalry now.

chiefzilla1501 11-18-2014 09:55 PM

I don't care as much about Raider week as much as I care about this team being the first Chiefs team I've enjoyed watching in a really long time. Seattle game really nailed that down for me.

kcxiv 11-18-2014 09:56 PM

I hate the Raiders, but its not like before, they have been so bad for so long, the hate isnt the same. Now if they were competitive fighting for that ply off spot with us, i'd get all that hate back. As of right now, im like lets just play them beat them and move on to Denver where the hate is stronger!

KCUnited 11-18-2014 09:57 PM

DMC getting a couple but the Chiefs winning would be HUGE for me.

Honestly, not really. The problem is that there is even the best-case scenario isn't all that exciting.

If we win, big whoop. That's what's supposed to happen.

If it's a close game, it's a bit disappointing.

If we lose, I will cry myself to sleep.

It's hard to get fired up for such a pathetic team. It's like getting amped up to push the wheelchair kid into the pool.

I don't care if it's close or ugly, I'll just be happy to get out of that hellhole with a win. I don't want us to be the 1 in their 1-15.

TomBarndtsTwin 11-18-2014 11:02 PM

It's hard to 'hate' the Faiders when they're so bad right now, but I'm sure I'll smile a few times when we bitchslap them all over the field on National TV Thursday night.

Exactly! I still get a little pumped for the Raiders games, even when they suck, like now. KC needs to step on their necks and assert their will and the Raiders can flail about all they want, but it won't change anything.

OldSchool 11-18-2014 11:08 PM

I'm excited for some Chiefs football. I just want to see a game that is played mistake free with excellent execution. Keep oiling the machine until it runs perfectly.

What about when Raiders beat everyone in the AFC West and still didn't win the division.

Why Not? 11-19-2014 12:13 AM

Agreed

DaneMcCloud 11-19-2014 12:15 AM

The last time the Chiefs faced a winless division foe this late in the season was 2000 versus San Diego. Warren Moon was the QB over Todd Collins (IIRC) because Elvis was hurt.

The Chiefs lost to the Chargers that day, giving San Diego their only win that season. I remember it clearly because I was there at the Murph for the game.

Fortunately for all Chiefs fans, I'll be at home Thursday night.

Direckshun 11-19-2014 12:30 AM

I honestly am not that intense this week. I want the Chiefs to bench Charles and Hali. Give Davis the ball 30 times and play Dee Ford all game. Hell, bench Poe and play Vance Walker all game, too -- it's not like the Raiders can run the ball.

Those are the three players we need preserved against overuse. Hali and Poe have played 140 snaps EACH the past two weeks.

eDave 11-19-2014 12:59 AM

Oakland is last in total offense. First in punting. Go figure.

They are last in sacks so Smith should have time to throw all day.

They are ranked 26th in rush defense. KC is not much better at 24. However, Oakland is dead last in rushing attempts by a large margin. They pass way more and are still 26th at that.

Pressure the rookie consistently and he will turn the ball over for sure at some point. Big game for the secondary.

They are 29th against 3rd down conversions. KC offense is 9th.

I still don't see how we can possibly lose. We role the Raiders.

Direckshun 11-19-2014 01:15 AM

Seriously, just bench Hali and Poe.

You don't have to respect their run game. Vance Walker can create pressure out of the NT position.

Drop everybody into coverage, and rush Houston/Bailey/Walker/Ford. They should rack up several sacks and get Ford some much needed playing time.

Oakland shouldn't score all day.

On offense, bench Charles.

Run Davis 30 times -- he seems to run his best when he gets a great workload.

Hammock Parties 11-19-2014 01:21 AM

It's a scrimmage.

I have never been less excited for a football game.

re: Charles, if we get up 2 scores, take him out.

3 scores, Bowe and Smith.

We should match up very well with Oakland across the board. They don't have the running game to threaten us on the ground. Their WR's are even worse than ours are so our DBs should have no problem as long as they stay disciplined in their coverage.

While they are 26th in total run defense, they are 7th in YPC. Mack leads the team with 21 TFL. Their LBs outside of Mack and Moore are simply terrible and Charles has the speed to beat them outside.

Should be a fun game.

Carr is one of the least sacked QBs in the league. He gets rid of the ball very quickly.

The only way that I would advocate resting Houston, Hali, and Poe is if this team goes up by 28 points or more and there is no chance of Oakland coming back at all.

Bench them. Give them some rest.

We wore them down last year. We brought in Walker to spell Poe. That is literally the reason why we got him.

I can see their snaps being reduced significantly, especially Hali on account of his age and the wear and tear on his knees, but not benched unless it's a complete blowout in our favor.

Mack is considered to be a front runner with Aaron Donald for DROY.

You don't like him?

Huh? Where did I say that I didn't like him? Clowney, Donald, and Mack were my 1, 2, and 3 players in that entire draft.

Misread. Thought you said moore, and mack were terrible. We are in the same page. Carry on lol

hard to get fired up about a game I have to watch a shitty stream for. **** you NFL Network.

Hammock Parties 11-19-2014 02:45 AM

Also every Thursday night game has been shit this year. The Raiders suck and will be sloppy. We will also be sloppy but probably just win on sheer talent and turnovers.

This will be sickening and disgusting as neither team is likely to give a shit. The Raiders have quit, the Chiefs are looking ahead to Manning.

I don't really care who the opponent is, I'm just fired up for Chiefs football right now. If the Raiders are in the way, so be it. They won't be for long.

Oakland can burn in a fiery soup. I care not even a little that they are 'down' or that it's more fun when they are competitive. Meh.

I do just want a win. Raiders seem to play some teams surprisingly close. It would be nice to see the Chiefs do what they should do and have an efficient win against a total shit opponent. Just win.

Having said that, I hope we shellack those ****ers for 7 TD's.

It's possible. We should be able to run them off the field. Literally.
