Alex Smith

How do you feel about him as your QB in this situation?

Discuss Thrower 11-30-2014 08:21 PM

No different than Matt Cassel

-King- 11-30-2014 08:23 PM

Seriously? What the **** can he have done different? The line is literally not blocking ANYONE.

RealSNR 11-30-2014 08:23 PM

If I want to win the game, not good.

If I want to lose the game by less than 4 TDs, then I feel pretty confident in him being able to take the safe sack and make sure all of our drives end with a punt.

Mr. Laz 11-30-2014 08:23 PM

better than you as a thread starter

Which of the sacks he's taken would you say he took unnecessarily and not because he was running for his life?

thabear04 11-30-2014 08:25 PM

We need a better Line can't do shit with a shit O Line.

Baby Lee 11-30-2014 08:25 PM

There has never been a QB in the game I'd wish this situation on, unless it was happening to Manning for a different team.

Why Not? 11-30-2014 08:25 PM

Great QB if you can get up 10 pts on the other team. Otherwise, meh.

InChiefsHeaven 11-30-2014 08:28 PM

you cant be a contender with this abortion of an O line...

I'm not talking about what's already taken place in this abortion of a game.

I mean into the second half when KC will get an occasional stop on defense and good field position and the offense continues to **** the game away.

He's not the problem in these situations ever, but he's also never a part of the solution. That was always what we were getting with him as a QB, and it just sucks that one of these situations has to be against the ****ing Donks AGAIN

Hammock Parties 11-30-2014 08:29 PM

If your team is down by 17 points, where does Alex Smith rank on your list of QBs who can get you back into the game?

Hoover 11-30-2014 09:02 PM

yeah, all you fu@kers who want to use all 11 draft picks on DBs and WRs need to file the 1st half away for draft day. You can't do shit in this league without a good Oline.

How many playoff wins did KC get with Will Shields, Willie Roaf and Brian Waters on the roster?

I think QB is more important than OL, but these arguments are just flat stupid. They are. That team played with a 32 defense. What do you expect them to do? No offense is going to win playoff games with a defense that can't force a punt.

A point that has absolutely nothing to do with the QB. Seem to recall a no punt playoff game those three played in.

Bull shit.

Look at every mock draft in the draft forum. Most of them have the Chiefs adding a 5th or 6th round OT. Shit, I want a 1st round WR badly, but he have to invest in the Oline. We are starting a 6th round rookie this year.

Try watching the game someday.

I'll give you a hint, the QB isn't winning the game for either team.

One isn't being given a chance to and the other doesn't need to.

You seriously want the offensive guard version of Eric Fisher or Luke Joeckel

This idea that won't seem to die that we're just a replacement of Alex Smith away from a SB, and conversely the existence of Alex guarantees we'll never be a SB team is insulting as a fan, as a fan of the Chiefs, as a fan of football, as a fan of competitive sports.

Yet people moan it over and over like they're some misunderstood genius.

If I ever do stop being a Chiefs fan, it won't be because of the team. It'll be because the fan base is too stupid to be associated with any more.

If the ball is delivered fast enough that he doesn't need to stop, do a jumping jack to get the QBs attention, maybe he doesn't fumble?

NJChiefsFan 11-30-2014 10:33 PM

He certainly has taken a step back the past month. Missing open receivers, and numerous times taking sacks when we can't have them. Down 16 on 3rd down you have to take a chance, it's time to risk a pass. And since he can't throw accurate deep passes his small mistakes are magnified. On the 2 point conversion, he has to use his speed and just run around and possibly get in instead of throwing that hail mary into the corner.
