.... for not getting the Charles more touches.

Andy Reid hates Jamaal Charles. Please spread the word. Hate must end.

He's better than Todd Haley and Romeo Crennel. I'll give him that

In58men 11-30-2014 10:33 PM

Been saying this since he came here. Philly didn't want him for a reason kinda like 49ers didn't want Smith for a reason. Both are garbage

tboss27 11-30-2014 10:33 PM

Andy was a total clown start to finish tonight. Not playing bump and run on defense in the first half, kelce has 3 catches for 3 first downs on 3 targets, kneeling at the end of the 1st half, declining an offsides on a punt where denver gets the ball across the 50 yard line, other dumbassery. He was awful tonight. Romeo crennel awful.

What the heck are you expecting from Alex? Play calling and blocking is absolutely horrendous. I'm no Alex lover, but this is not his fault.

Charles averaged like 3.5 yards/carry tonight... and even most of that was a miracle he pulled out of thin air.

You can't win offensively when you can't block the other team's defensive line.

If Clark had the balls he'd see where this is going, jettison Reid, and do whatever it takes to get Harbaugh.

I can't accept "there is a reason the other team didn't want him". Drives me nuts. There was a reason CLE didn't want BB and there is a reason SF doesn't want Harbaugh. Doesn't mean they shouldn't be rehired. Plenty of people go places and succeed after failing first. If you want to list reasons why, so be it. But don't say, well other people didn't want them so it serves us right.

Maybe I am just not remembering but I felt like a decent amount of the board acknowledged what his short-comings were/are. I still don't hate him, but he does do things that drive me up the wall.

You can if you scheme it better. The Chiefs are predictable. Charles gets his despite everyone knowing what is going to happen.

Go spread formation with both Charles and Davis. Gives him two check down passes if the line fails, if not you can look at the WRs and Kelce. This team is coached badly. Reid never adjusts, next week will be the same.

Andy gives wonderful answers in his pressor and says absolutely nothing

tboss27 11-30-2014 11:03 PM

This team is SOFT!!!

For the following reasons.....

1. Von Miller took a total cheap shot on Alex Smith in the 4th quarter. We never attempted to put Miller, Manning, or any other Bronco on their butt. Miller later followed up the cheap shot with a legal sack, after which he danced in celebration. Again, nobody on the Chiefs seemed to care.

2. Andy Reid lets them be soft. How can you expect them to have pride after you kneel the ball on the 40 yard line with .10 and 2 timeouts left in the first half? Down 2 scores. Kicking off in the second half.

3. We had more than enough motiviation to play this game, and we came out flatter than flat.

fan4ever 11-30-2014 11:04 PM

I expected, with 10 days to prepare, we'd see something like we saw offensively against New England...mix it up a bit...some unusual formations...some misdirection...instead it was the vanilla predictable crap we've run most of the year. Really don't get it.

It's not worth it... just let it go. Anyone who watched that game and come in here and rip on Smith is just trolling. Smith missed a big conversion to Bowe that he should have had, and misread a read option play. That's it. otherwise, about as good as anyone could have played with the abuse he was taking.

My hopes for the season are simply to limp into the playoffs and somehow, some way steal a win so the board can finally put that poor dead horse in the ground. Crazy long shot at this point, but I'm still hoping... anyone else?

scho63 12-01-2014 05:32 AM

If I hear Andy Reid one more time in a press conference after a a loss saying "he is sorry", "the loss is on him", "we were outcoached", "I need to get Charles the ball more", I'm going to personally drive all the way to Arrowhead from the East Coast and stick an ice pick in the back of his head ala Joe Pesci in Goodfellas.

This guy is starting to make me believe he is semi-reeruned. How many f***ing times do you need to be reminded to get the ball to Jamaal Charles???

We played the worst team in football last week, and one of the best teams in football this week. What we saw in these last two games may be what our team really is: Take the first half off, play catch up in the 2nd half, never quite get there.

It is still possible we can get a WC berth and maybe win a playoff game. Maybe we can get that monkey off our back. Then in the offseason, we can work on our line and WR.

I read this and visualized Lawrence Taylor in the Waterboy, "This boys and girls is why you don't smoke crack."

ChiTown 12-01-2014 06:53 AM

With our OL, lack of WR's, and shit stained DB's, I am SHOCKED that we are 7-5. It's a ****ing miracle this team has done what it has done, in spite of the Front Office reeruns. This isn't anywhere close to being a Good playoff team. It's a jumbled mess of puzzle pieces, and nothing really fits. I am surprised Denver didn't beat us by 30. Seriously.

I was immensely pissed off the last two games, but not at the players. This colossal mess belongs to Dorsey and his dumb **** staff. Not even attempting to address some of the basic needs for this Team was criminal. Deepest WR draft in decades and we take Dee Ford? BRILLIANT!

Dude....Denver loaded the box and blitzed him because the KNEW he wouldn't beat them. You can call out blocking all you want when it's 4 on 5 or 5 on 5. But when the defense sends 6 or 7....your QB should be smart enough to recognize it and find the open man.

My hopes are actually the opposite; that we tank and the ownership and front office will realize there are on the wrong trek. A playoff win would only reinforce what they're doing now...and what they're doing now isn't ever going to lead to anything meaningful.

WHATEVER! When this team went on a roll it did so by using a heavy does of BOTH Charles and Knile and play action. Teams were stacking the box, but it didn't matter because the Chiefs ran it successfully anyway. He's gotten away form that and hasn't played to the Chiefs strengths. Every time he does, he apologizes for it. :lame:

Charles is averaging 21 touches in games we've won this year and 16 touches in games we've lost this year. I excluded the @Den and @Mia games because he was injured.

At some point (weeks ago), I would have expected Reid to realize that putting the ball in his hands as much as possible is our best chance at winning each week. However, he's just hell bent on making Alex our focal point most games. I don't know what it will take for them to realize Smith isn't that guy, regardless of having a decent O-line or not.

I'm getting pretty sick of hearing his "I need to do a better job of coaching, blah blah blah" every week we lose.

I also have no idea how Knile doesn't get a single carry last night, nor do I understand why he is not returning kickoffs 100% of the time.

And enough with Reids by week records.... JFC, he has had it broken off in his ass twice since he has been here after a bye week...

Reid is not the short or long term answer to coaching this franchise.

Discuss Thrower 12-01-2014 10:30 AM

Nope. Reid is a genius for living off one good season where he came up short in the SB because McNabb choked.

suzzer99 12-01-2014 10:32 AM

Do you really want Charles on the LJ, Chris Johnson, Jamaal Lews, etc. 400-carry burn-out plan?

We weren't going to win this game no matter how many touches Charles got. Nor are we going anywhere this season. I'm all for preserving Charles until we can make a real run.

Some of you need to stop being more emotional than tween schoolgirls and just take a deep breath before posting.

Just giving Charles touches isnt solving the problem...after the first 3 and out, Charles touched the ball the next two times and managed to get what, one yard? It's the way the game is called.

After going down 17-0 with Denver seemingly blitzing on every other down, it's time to get the ball out of the pocket quickly where the rushers are coming from. That did not happen at all last night.

My favorite play on 3rd and 1, KC runs a toss sweep where the toss is 7 yards deep into the short side of the field.
