Justin Houston makes All-Pro team, unlike all Broncos
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-all-pro-team/
Via USA Today and NFL.com, here is the first-team All-Pro squad as announced by The Associated Press on Friday. Fifty national media members compose the AP‘s voting panel, according to the organization: OFFENSE Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay. Running back: DeMarco Murray, Dallas; Le’Veon Bell, Pittsburgh. Fullback: John Kuhn, Green Bay. Tight end: Rob Gronkowski, New England. Wide receiver: Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh; Dez Bryant, Dallas. Offensive tackle: Tyron Smith, Dallas; Joe Thomas, Cleveland. Offensive guard: Marshal Yanda, Baltimore; Zach Martin, Dallas. Center: Maurkice Pouncey, Pittsburgh. DEFENSE Defensive end: J.J. Watt, Houston; Mario Williams, Buffalo. Defensive tackle: Ndamukong Suh, Detroit; Marcell Dareus, Buffalo. Outside linebacker: Justin Houston, Kansas City; Elvis Dumervil, Baltimore. Inside linebacker: Luke Kuechly, Carolina; Bobby Wagner, Seattle. Cornerback: Darrelle Revis, New England; Richard Sherman, Seattle. Safety: Earl Thomas, Seattle; Eric Weddle, San Diego. SPECIAL TEAMS Kicker: Adam Vinatieri, Indianapolis. Returner: Adam Jones, Cincinnati. Punter: Pat McAfee, Indianapolis. |
Sherman made the second team as well. Also i know it's kinda of stupid of me to bitch about, but it pisses me off that Houston didn't get a unanimous vote.
|
Nice thread title.
|
The only Bronco that deserved it was Harris, and he isn't nearly as famous as Sherman or Revis, so I'm not very surprised.

As did Demaryius Thomas, and Von Miller |
...
I think they'd take 0 all-pros and a 1st round playoff bye but, who knows |

But how many votes did Alex Smith receive?

The weirdest thing though was Lynch getting a FB vote. :spock: |

Individual awards are meaningless.

I had no idea that Darrelle Revis and Mario Williams were still big deals. I didn't notice either of them when the Chiefs played their two teams.
|
If Jamaal had gotten the same number of carries as Demarco Murray, he would have ended with 1,966 yards.
|
Well, this makes me feel 0% better about the season.
|
So he'll cost even more now. Sweet.
|
Probably been discussed somewhere but...
http://www.spotrac.com/premium/resea...n-houston-491/ Spotrac says 6 years 92Mill, 48Mill guaranteed for Houston is their prediction. If anybody knows contracts, it's spotrac. Would you do it? I say yes. |
To be fair, a Bronco would have been all pro if they hadn't ****ed up and forgotten to fax the paperwork on Dumervil.
Haha! |

THIS IS EARTH SHATTERING NEWS. CLAYTHAN SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER. |

$92MM, to me he has to hit 16+ sacks a season with big plays in big games to warrant that. |
HAHAHAHA! Stupid Broncos must be feeling pretty inferior right about now!

I think Houston's right on the verge of being in the discussion for best defensive player in the league, behind watt. He does everything and he does it all extremely well. You just don't see many 20 sack guys who can range sideline to sideline, drop back into coverage and actually, you know, cover. So many of these guys are one dimensional. He's the proverbial Swiss army knife. |
I think he is definitely the 2nd best defender in the league.
An argument could be made for Suh. |
What? No Ward, Harris or Talib?!? From the best coverage secondary in the NFL!!?! This can't be!?! I demand a recount!!!!

Broncos are preparing for the playoffs with zero all pros, unlike the Chuefs.
|
Watching Houston on Inside The NFL break it down before and after the game is good stuff. Seems he's become the team leader as well as a great player.

Pacman Jones is STILL in league?

He's having a great year. |
Why are there two running backs on that list?

when all else fails, look for moral victories and accomplishments.
nevermind the Broncos ****ed our shit up twice (again) this season, while the Chiefs are sitting at home because they couldn't beat the Titans and Raiders. |
