Sherman made the second team as well. Also i know it's kinda of stupid of me to bitch about, but it pisses me off that Houston didn't get a unanimous vote.

ToxSocks 01-02-2015 04:05 PM

Nice thread title.

MagicHef 01-02-2015 04:12 PM

The only Bronco that deserved it was Harris, and he isn't nearly as famous as Sherman or Revis, so I'm not very surprised.

He made the second team.

As did Demaryius Thomas, and Von Miller

Hootie 01-02-2015 04:17 PM

...

I think they'd take 0 all-pros and a 1st round playoff bye but, who knows

It pisses me off that The MVP didn't even get a vote.

HoneyBadger 01-02-2015 04:26 PM

But how many votes did Alex Smith receive?

I noticed that.

The weirdest thing though was Lynch getting a FB vote. :spock:

Charles or Colquitt?

Hammock Parties 01-02-2015 04:32 PM

Individual awards are meaningless.

Colquitt of course

Rain Man 01-02-2015 04:35 PM

I had no idea that Darrelle Revis and Mario Williams were still big deals. I didn't notice either of them when the Chiefs played their two teams.

Rain Man 01-02-2015 04:40 PM

If Jamaal had gotten the same number of carries as Demarco Murray, he would have ended with 1,966 yards.

DaFace 01-02-2015 04:54 PM

Well, this makes me feel 0% better about the season.

Mr. Flopnuts 01-02-2015 04:58 PM

So he'll cost even more now. Sweet.

KCrockaholic 01-02-2015 05:07 PM

Probably been discussed somewhere but...

http://www.spotrac.com/premium/resea...n-houston-491/

Spotrac says 6 years 92Mill, 48Mill guaranteed for Houston is their prediction. If anybody knows contracts, it's spotrac.

Would you do it? I say yes.

jspchief 01-02-2015 10:58 PM

To be fair, a Bronco would have been all pro if they hadn't ****ed up and forgotten to fax the paperwork on Dumervil.

Haha!

Damn that is a lot of cheese to tie up in one position, but I mean, someone out there is going to give him that contract, might as well be the team he was inducted into the League with.

$92MM, to me he has to hit 16+ sacks a season with big plays in big games to warrant that.

wazu 01-02-2015 11:16 PM

HAHAHAHA! Stupid Broncos must be feeling pretty inferior right about now!

The big thing people complained about Jared Allen was how he didn't make enough big plays/sacks in big games. Justin has done that imo. He makes big plays in the 3rd and 4th Q.

Yeah Allen has been great his whole career at making plays in the first half and then no showing the second half. But he's a redneck who wears 69 so it's all good.

I think Houston's right on the verge of being in the discussion for best defensive player in the league, behind watt. He does everything and he does it all extremely well. You just don't see many 20 sack guys who can range sideline to sideline, drop back into coverage and actually, you know, cover. So many of these guys are one dimensional. He's the proverbial Swiss army knife.

Direckshun 01-03-2015 01:26 AM

I think he is definitely the 2nd best defender in the league.

An argument could be made for Suh.

TomBarndtsTwin 01-03-2015 02:09 AM

What? No Ward, Harris or Talib?!? From the best coverage secondary in the NFL!!?! This can't be!?! I demand a recount!!!!

He's worth it. Players like JH don't come around often. Dorsey/Reid deserve to be shot if he is not kept. He's a cornerstone player for our defense that will be Super Bowl caliber with him and a few more upgrades. Shitty franchises let players like JH go. It would be a HUGE mistake.

This. Would rather be a successful playoff team than talk about this Shit.

Reerun_KC 01-03-2015 06:34 AM

Broncos are preparing for the playoffs with zero all pros, unlike the Chuefs.

philfree 01-03-2015 08:21 AM

Watching Houston on Inside The NFL break it down before and after the game is good stuff. Seems he's become the team leader as well as a great player.

Yea he said in as Berry went down the defense had no leader so he had to do something about it. He took it upon himself to be that guy the leader of the defense

ShortRoundChief 01-03-2015 08:49 AM

Denver makes playoffs, unlike all Chiefs

mcaj22 01-03-2015 09:13 AM

Pacman Jones is STILL in league?

when all else fails, look for moral victories and accomplishments.

nevermind the Broncos ****ed our shit up twice (again) this season, while the Chiefs are sitting at home because they couldn't beat the Titans and Raiders.

Yep, that's one thing I realllly liked seeing out of him after his rookie season. We dropped him into coverage a TON his rookie year, and he kinda sucked at it. He defended the run pretty well though. In year 2 he took a MAJOR leap and became a solid sideline to sideline guy that can cover the flats and do everything well. This year he just completely blew up. Nice to see a guy truly improve year to year to year
