Direckshun and his thoughts

You know, overall we won more games than we lost this year. Obviously you want to win more games. But we had 9 games where we did all those things we needed to do to win. Unfortunately there were several games, seven I believe, where our offense and defense didn't do as much as the other team did. Some people call those "losses," but I'm not a wordsmith. You can ask Dorse about that.

I think Alex Smith is where we know he is. He's always out there, playing football. Except when the defense is playing. Or when he's resting. His touchdowns were good this year. There were interceptions, and we've got our guys looking at that.

Charles, Poe, Houston, all those guys were satisfactory. I can more or less live with the fact that they are All Pro talents. We like it when guys are good at football.

Going forward, we want to be better. Not worse. I've made that clear to my staff, and they're all working on that.

So.

In order to win games in the NFL we have to score more points than the opposing opponents.

I would rank it somewhere between 5 and frozen Swanson meatloaf.

I'd give it meatloaf. Stouffer's frozen meatloaf. Not olive garden. Not fine Italian dining meatloaf, but meatloaf nonetheless.

Curiously, I feel more like I do now than I have all day.

I describe Reid's play calling somewhere between a rotten smelling open faced roast beef sandwich and a puss filled open **** full of sores.

I don't think Heck and Chung have what it takes to make young, inexperienced offensive linemen better.

The Patriots and Seattle games were fine dining. I like seeing my team beat the best teams in football. So, I think we made it Olive Garden pasta level of taste instead of Spaghettios. Not that satisfying but better than eating shit.

Unfortunately, this season reminds me of the Marty years.

Beat the Bills 33-6, watch the Bills advance to the Super Bowl.

That's exactly what's going on.

The Chiefs once beat the Super Bowl Champion Packers with Steve Bono.

And missed the playoffs at 9-7.

Yep, we can't seem to have any consistency or at least get hot come playoff time. Its one or the other. Or in down years, neither.

The Seattle game was definitely olive garden lasagna. Maybe even a tour of Italy. New England on the other hand was fine dining Italian lasagna at it's finest. Prepared by a famous chef at a private dinner party for 52. Brady ala sacked was the appetizer. Bellicheckimisou was the dessert. Kraft cheese was not used in any dish, and Giselle danced naked for Hali, and Houston.

Well, at least that solves the mystery of who wrote speeches for Gunther when he was head coach.

Yeah, it was a lot like it. Beat the good teams and lose to the bad teams.
