It's.... excellent.

One nitpick is.. I think Donovan Smith is a 2nd/3rd rd prospect at this point.

Yeah....that's the rough thing about doing mock drafts this early and using websites to do them. I repeatedly had to re-start the draft because Winston kept falling to 18 and I don't see that happening.

yeah, those mocks can be fun, but some of the prospect values are definitely  ..

I love your draft!

Mr. Flopnuts 01-28-2015 03:58 PM

Love it. 1 question. Was DGB available at 17?

Yeah. DGB lasted until the 2nd round. The Rams pick Mariota in the 1st and DGB in the 2nd.

Sfeihc 01-28-2015 04:10 PM

I really like the whole thing, Pesty. Jake Ryan as a CHIEF would be amazing.

LMAO

CleveSteve 01-28-2015 04:34 PM

Man, if Gunter makes it to the 5th I'm going to be seriously ticked at my Brownies...

but then, I am every year so why not.

I think the Chiefs would consider themselves pretty lucky of White, Lockett, Gunter, Smith, and Ryan all made it to those spots. JMO.

RunKC 01-28-2015 04:42 PM

I like it a lot, but I don't think Ladarius Gunter is going to last that long.

He looked very good at the Senior Bowl. CB's that big, long and fast (he seems like a 4.45 guy) don't last long.
I think he's an early 3rd rd pick that could move into rd 2 if he does well at the combine.

Saccopoo 01-28-2015 06:26 PM

Koyack sucks. Completely and totally overrated.

And there are metric shit tons of ILB's who are better than Ryan, who looked like a petrified 4x6 on the field at the Shrine game. He looked ****ing horrible. No shit. Like really bad. Slow, stiff and bad reads, especially on the pass.

Otherwise, good draft.

OldSchool 01-28-2015 10:50 PM

Would rather keep developing Harris vs drafting a guy like Koyack who is Fasano, at best, as a pro.

Dante84 01-28-2015 11:22 PM

I think Lockett is gone before our 3-A pick.

The Bad Guy 02-03-2015 12:32 AM

Can't imagine Hudson getting that much. I think he'll be around 3.5-4 mill a year.

Couch-Potato 02-03-2015 10:36 PM

I really like your cuts, resigns and free agents. Very realistic. I'm not as familiar with some of your draft pics as others but would be stoked to have White and Lockett.

I agree though that Lockett likely wont be available for us in the 3rd.

Couch-Potato 02-03-2015 10:37 PM

Might be a naive question, but why leave $11.5m unspent? ...haha especially in a mock offseason

jonzie04 02-04-2015 12:15 AM

I like the draft. I know it's early but I doubt most of those guys are there when we pick. Also highly doubt Houston signs for that much. They'll tag him before they pay him as much as Watt is making. Also don't understand spending that much on a backup dt. Wed be paying a total of 9 million to three backup lineman between walker, Vickerson, and Ellis. I do like the other FAs though.

Terez Paylor says he'll be pushing $7 million as PFF's third rated center.

I won't be shocked if the Chiefs let him walk and go with Kush.

kccrow 02-04-2015 04:50 PM

Max Unger, Jason Kelce, Eric Wood, Chris Myers all have contracts averaging 6.2 to 6.5 million. Hudson will get that. I don't think he jumps to that next tier with Pouncey, Mack, Kalil, and Mangold that ranges from 7.7 to 8.8.

I think Dane is spot on in terms of him pushing the 7 mil per. I've also been mocking $6.5 per same as Pest. I think Hudson will command that and I think the Chiefs should pay it. Hudson is a very good center.

If Dorsey were to use the money saved from a Hudson contract and used it on Bulaga & Boling/Iupati, would you be opposed to it?

Hudson's contract wouldn't cover both of those guys and mother **** the idea of letting our best lineman, who happens to be the center, walk out the door again... It worked out so well the last time.

Bulaga and Iupati will be getting close to $7M EACH.

Bingo.

The center is the rock. He calls the line, he's the lynch pin to the QB...it flows from him. You don't start over with a guy (Kush) who can't even beat out McGlynn or Linkenbach for a guard spot.

You absolutely ****ing pay Hudson. No if's, and's or but's.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 02-06-2015 03:26 PM

Another CP all-star + Domer mock from Pest. Every year.

"Please like my mock!"

a Direckshun pet- check
a Sacc Utah guy- check
pleasing Kansas St fans- check
pleasing Mizzou fans- check
Domer pick- check
QB- check

The Franchise 02-06-2015 03:55 PM

Oh look....it's Rudy hanging from my nuts. Just the usual...

I should have clarified... I didn't mean bring two FA linemen using only the money from Hudson's contract, I meant, assuming Dorsey makes enough room avalible this offseason, use the money from Hudson's contract+(hypothetically) a Bowe and Hali cut/restructure.
