MLB Props

According to scoresandodds.com

Royals total wins 80.5

Cubs total wins 82.5

Royals to win AL 17-1 (Clev,CWS,Tigers all ahead)

Cubs to win NL 8-1

Bowser 02-16-2015 02:50 PM

Yeah, I saw we were projected fourth in the Central this year. And I think the wins total has gone up; I heard a week or so ago we were projected to win 74 or so. :spock:

MTG#10 02-16-2015 02:50 PM

Good, let us fly under the radar again...

Bufkin 02-16-2015 02:52 PM

AL Champions who have improved in my opinion.

Gotta love that small market chip on the shoulder. I think Moustakas finally blows up this season for an entire year. Hosmer will look to improve as well. I think this team is ready to prove people wrong yet again.

Perineum Ripper 02-16-2015 02:55 PM

Royals are horrible. :D

Nzoner 02-16-2015 02:58 PM

Oh to see a Royals/Cubs series.

Bowser 02-16-2015 02:59 PM

It sucks we won't have James Shields and his red ass swagger this year. I think he really instilled a will to win in this team that they hadn't felt in, well, decades. Hopefully Perez and Hosmer can drive this team going forward.

Discuss Thrower 02-16-2015 02:59 PM

I think they get the #2 Wildcard at best.

KCwolf 02-16-2015 03:04 PM

Does anyone remember their over/under win total from last season?

Last March while in Vegas I recall it being around 82.

Yikes

If pitching has a repeat season, anything is possible. If they could find a little power in that lineup--Gordon? Hosmer?--the Royals could dominate the division.

Would also help if Moose could bump the average up to at least .250.

Ventura has taken over Shields swagger. Did you see him during the playoffs with that spin leg kick. He gives no ****s. He might be one of my favorite Royals

yeah, if the 100+ heater wasn't enough, that performance he had where he just shut down the O's should make him everyone's favorite young Royal.

PS: **** all these naysayers.

I got the Cubbies at 28:1 for $25 when I was in Vegas in November. I think they are at 10:1 at this point.

Back to the Future 2 said Cubs win in 2015.

Admit it - they love you in Vegas, don't they?

Was that to win it all?

The 8:1 in the OP was NL only

Hootie 02-16-2015 04:38 PM

Yeah 28:1 to win it all

BWillie 02-16-2015 04:47 PM

LOL @ the Cubs odds.

Odds makers are forgetting one thing. THEY ARE THE ****ING CUBS

And you're forgetting that...

1) They still have a ton of money and support
2) They have a few great, young, established MLB players already and are supplementing them with the best collection of hitting prospects seen in decades
3) Theo Epstein is the GM and has a history of helping organizations overcome "curses"

Exactly, no pressure on them. That's perfect for them.

OMG This.

That would be the most intense WS in AGES.

Javy Baez is garbage IMO, but the rest, they do have good system. I just think it will take longer than these odds indicate.

One of the most popular teams in the world playing in the WS isn't going to bring the worst ever ratings.

This team was 90 feet from at least tying game 7 of the WS. If that and the remarkable playoff run do not instill a will to win James Shields would not have. Honestly the biggest loss we suffer from losing Shields is his ability to eat innings, but at his age that will catch up with him very soon. Glad we didn't resign him for what he got.

Remember how we got Jack Shit at the deadline and that muther****er took us to the promised land?

I do

SPATCH 02-16-2015 08:07 PM

I love how much prognosticators hate this team.

We still throw harder and defend better than any other team in the MLB. The offense will be better this season, as well.

This team should win the division.

people think just because they have young hitters and Maddon they are going to win the central and the NL? Come on man. Don't put any real money on that bet. They are still the Cubs.

So putting $25 at 28:1 because I figured they'd make a splash in free agency and seeing those odds drop to 12:1 before a game has even been played is terrible ... right.

I'm on the Kris Bryant bandwagon. Gonna be fun watching that kid!

But it's still the Cubs. I really hope they never win. So many bandwagon fans for no ****ing reason. It really is reeruned.
