BIG CAT
All the negative talk about Catapano not being in shape should be put to bed. Its a shame he missed the season last year but shit happens....this guy is a SERIOUS athlete!
Yesterdays video of him here at Parisi Speed School in New Jersey shows him jumping onto a 56 inch box weighing over 290 lbs! Also this was minutes after a leg and back workout where he was deadlifting over 600 lbs. Only other guy over 290 I know of who can jump this high is JJ Watt. So say what you will but obviously the guy is back 100% healthy and training for next season. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/1fUbch3M5j8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
OMGZ HE JJ 2.0!!! LIGHTS OUT DENVER!!!

MIKE MAZLOWSKI/BOOMER GRIGSBY/MARC BOERICHTER/CATAPANO! WOOOOOOOOOOO!
|
Can't wait to see ThunderCat out there wrecking souls this year.
|
"BIG CAT".
All that strength he has will do wonder on the poll at the gay strip club he'll work at when his NFL career falls through |
He's our hidden gem !
Can't wait for his return. So some reporter can finally ask him if he was dead last year or WHAT ! |
Can't a guy just be excited about a Chiefs player anymore without all the negative comments??
Jeez. I'm starting to think you guys might not be true fans or something!! |
The NFL has really gone to shit since they stopped putting 56" boxes all over the field.
|
Faster than Rich Eisen!
Able to leap Tall Milk crates in a single bound! It's a bird! It's a Plane! It's CATAPANOOOOOOO! Catapano, swoops in to save the SHIP http://media.columbian.com/img/photo...avy.JPEG-0.jpg |
What a bunch of nancy boy haters. I'll keep my expectations low but there is nothing wrong with harboring some hope that Catapano could make a comeback and contribute for the Chiefs. Kind of like Kelce did in 2014.

If Box Jumper was a position in football...
|
I want him to be awesome. I want him to be JJ Watt.
But he hasn't played outside of preseason to speak of and they won't tell us why he ate all of the Flintstone vitamins last year. I just want them to be honest and say "well, he got mono and had to stop taking steroids and lost his strength so we shut him down" or something. |

He's definitely athletic, cool to see
|
GREAT. WHITE. HOPE.
So, so very stoked to see what this guy can become. I mean, he's everything you want in a player. Ivy league smart, strong as they come, fights through AIDSversity, vague twitter updates, ivory skin, can eat 36 chicken wings in one sitting, and a real fighter's mentality because of the 7th round status. I'm pulling for him! |
Boomer Grigsby could do a double backflip on a trampoline....and is now Jake from State Farm.

Last year I was ridiculed on here when I said Kelce would be an All Pro (despite missing his rookie season)...but what I predicted came to pass. Now I'm saying the same thing for Catapano. He's a rusher who can rush from any position along the D-line and athletic enough to be drafted as an OLB. Ask any of the Chiefs players and they will tell you how good this guy is. All Pro and double digit sacks in 2015 for this guy. Just watch. Talk all the shit you want...but this is my prediction. This D Line is WAY underrated in general. Poe, Bailey and Cat are all physical freaks. Devito is a run stopping monster as well if he is healed (and I hope we resign him). These 3 monsters and an athlete like Cat rushing can do damage to opposing offenses in 2015. |

Chiefs players once told me Jesse Haynes was going to break NFL rushing records.

Media members tell me that Justin Houston can jump onto a 60 inch box.

The Royals signed a guy after seeing him jump over a car on YouTube. That man later became a hall of famer. The rest is history.

your obsession with this guy is hilarious

Man, I have all the hope in the world for this guy, but getting excited with expectations of a Pro-Bowl or All-Pro(lol) season is pretty high up there when it comes to setting yourself up for a let down.

Kelce was the 2nd best TE in the AFC next to Gronkowski....862 yards, 15 20+ yard plays, 12.9 yards per catch, 67 receptions is certainly all pro worthy. He led the Chiefs in receptions, receiving yards and receiving TD's. When i said Kelce would be an All Pro after he was out injured for the season last year everybody on here ripped me apart. So if he wasn't "officially" an "All Pro" he was still damn good! I expect the same type of performance from Catapano in relation to his position next year. Ask any of the coaches or players on the team and they will tell you the same thing about him. All the comments on here of him weighing 210 and being cut or whatever are just completely ridiculous. He didn't play much his rookie year but he switched positions and went from a small school to the NFL and there is a learning curve. But when he played, he played great and was killing it in training camp last year before he got injured. The guy is gonna be a special player. He will be the best player of the Chiefs 2013 draft class despite being the last one picked. |
Talked with a former student of mine who is an intern with the Chiefs' strength and conditioning department. He was with them all last season. I asked him why the mystery surrounding Catapano, and he replied that information was given at a press conference last year. He suffered a concussion but the symptoms manifested oddly and they couldn't diagnose quickly or with certainly. So he got put on IR. It was mid-season before they knew.
Also asked him about Bray, and he just laughed because it was such stupid move on his part. He said it didn't really matter because Murray was a winner, very intelligent (though kinda short) and really well liked on the team. Take it for what it is worth, as he is just an intern. |
is jumping onto a 290 lb box more impressive than jumping onto a lighter box?

If his skin was black and his name was something like LaTavion Miller there would be maybe a quarter of the posts about this guy.

Time will tell, hell he might not even make the team... but heaven forbid people hope he does well, especially when he's white! *gasp/ick* |

Just me. But if some guy did root for him because he was white. So? |
Quote:
He atleast deserves another chance at camp. |

They'll know by the first round of camp cuts if he can hack it, so its not like the team is going to be cheated in some way. |

Nope, you specialize in parroting whatever is popular at the time, like a real weasel dick. Yeah seriously, you havent had a controversial or original football thought in your entire existence here... "what do you guys think? well whaddya know thats what I think too!". |
Quote:
I still can't believe that because the guy is a stud. Graded as the #1 blocking tight end in the NFL and had 862 yards with 5tds. Should have been in the probowl. |
Quote:
Really? |
This really sounds familiar of last off seasons Kelce discussion. People were saying he could be a real weapon and the usual suspects were calling him an injury prone bust.
Pretty funny shit really. Oh yea and Hali can't play LB in the 3-4 defense while we are at it. |

It would be silly for him not to be on the 90 man roster, unless of course his health once again becomes an issue. |

Catapano had the highest qb disruption rate of any of our interior lineman in 2013. The guy is a physical specimen. i know most here have been let down by this franchise for many years if not decades, but he's shown enough to warrant optimism. is he going to become the next jj watt? well no, but he can become a very good player.

However WHEN this kid has double digit sacks THIS season i'll sell you some if you want....but just know its gonna be more pricey then. :thumb: |
I still say that concussion was from that sledgehammer rebounding up off the tire. Bet it caught square in the forehead knocked him cold. It sure wasn't from seeing much playing time. Your profile says personal trainer. Maybe can sell juicers for Jack LaLane.
|
If the Chiefs were a car, they would be an 80's Reliant K.

I have hope for all Chiefs players. He should be brought back and given an opportunity. They have invested, small or not, in Catapano. The roster expands up to 90 lets see what he has to bring. If there are problems he will get released.
Now a dude jumping on a box is not some big whoop-tee-doo. It doesn't prove he is healthy. It doesn't prove anything more than the dude can jump up on a box. |
