USA Today Has Chiefs At #24 In NFL Power Rankings
Just 2 places behind the Jaguars in fact. :doh!:
But I gotta be honest...I kinda like it ;) let em sleep on us http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2015/5...s-ahead-chiefs |
Sleep on us??
|
Let me guess what their problem with us is
OFFENTHIVE LINE???!!!! |

I guess I'm going to stop reading that ****ing paper now....
Oh wait, I don't read any paper now. |

last year it was a problem and this year it still looks shaky as shit If it wasn't for the New Orleans' freak out, we wouldn't have Grubbs and the Oline would really look like trash. I know, i know ... it gets in the way of your non-stop QB crying. Poor baby. |

24? Thomas Gafford was good, and it hurts to lose him in free agency, but I don't think he's that good.

I am assuming you will throw down a pile of cash on this easy money???? |
Also, what the **** does "If it wasn't for the New Orleans' freak out, we wouldn't have Grubbs and the Oline would really look like trash."
Are you saying that John Dorsey said, "I have one idea and one idea alone to fix our LG situation. Trade for Ben Grubbs. If that doesn't work, I'm trotting McGlynn out there again, because what the **** else do you expect me to do?" |
Offensive lines don't win you championships, and the Chiefs proved last year that they don't tank your team, either.
There are always going to be questions about your offensive line if you're doing it the right way by not pissing away high draft picks on it all the time. I've always been in favor of fixing this line using free agency, but when I suggested the Chiefs re-sign Geoff Schwartz, and that $4 million/year for a solid starting RG wasn't all that much, people like Laz got on my ass for supposedly overpaying for JAGs. |
I'm not predicting Super Bowl or anything, but that seems ludicrous.

Oline is a weakness and therefore they said it was a weakness You just have to rage anytime someone mentions something other than Quarterback. Maybe you're just a whiny, moaning bitch. |

I don't expect us to be contenders but we will be better than last year. We've had a good offseason and the number one issue on the team was the offensive line, which will have several new starters.
These national pubs don't know anything about our team, they just look at additions and subtractions and come up with something to write about in mid offseason |

He would have just added the Morse bandaid to yet another Oline position. |
I'll believe this O-line can get shit done around week 5 after ive seen 3 weeks of allowing ALex to take more than 3 steps and also being able to run to either side, with the best RB the NFL has ever seen

Fisher must take the 3rd year leap in improvement Kush has to be the guy we saw in that one game against the Chargers Someone is going to have to be good enough to keep Faniaka out of the lineup at RG Stephenson is going to have to revert back to the good stephenson All Relative injury free all season |

The way our schedule falls, I wouldn't be surprised if we squeak by .500.
We got absolutely screwed the first 10 weeks. Reminds me of 2004, only worse. |

I mean, it is a question mark, but I'd like to at least see it in some action in August to call it 'shaky'. |

Five? FIVE?!? I don't think the Chiefs will win five playoff games before I turn 50. |
For people still bitching about all the supposed question marks on the OL, what the **** were we supposed to do, exactly?
Overspend? Overdraft? Guess what we'd have if we drafted more OL this year? MOAR QUESTION MARKS. Dorsey's fixed this problem the best way possible. He got a true vet to shore up the weak interior line. He drafted a guy as insurance for two of those interior line spots. And he insured against disaster by loading up 3-4 players deep per spot as competition. And these are all guys with starting experience, too, not just some UDFA rookie from last year who showed promise while sitting on the bench all season. That's how you fix an offensive line. You DON'T do it by pissing away draft picks like the Cowboys. That's overkill, and in 2-3 years you can't possibly afford to keep all of them on the same team. |

I'm sure we'll get a WR in the draft. /CP 2014 I'm sure we'll get a WR after June cuts /CP 2014 |

I think USA Today went through the majority of the list and thought, "Oh shit, we completely forgot about the Chiefs." and then promptly stuck them next on their list.

These guys are trash. The fact that people still think Allen and Stephenson are anything but garbage is hilarious. |

The butthurt is strong in this thread. They probably just look at who's the QB and base it off that.

That has no bearing whatsoever on 2015, when the Chiefs OBVIOUSLY felt the need to be aggressive in free agency. I have a really hard time believing that Dorsey would have stood pat if this happened: DORSEY: "Hey Mickey? It's John. How ya doin, buddy? Listen, could we work out a deal for Ben Grubbs?" LOOMIS: "No. Go **** yourself." DORSEY: "Alrighty then. Have a nice day." |

I laugh my ass off at some of these guys. CBS sports has us 21st and now USA Today has us 24th??! ROFL we've improved our team. We won 9 games last year, one with Chase ****ing Daniel. We beat both Super Bowl teams (New England convincingly might I add), we played the NFC west going 2-2. We swept San Diego. We lost our best run defenders at each level (one of which has ****ing cancer) 2 of them Pro Bowlers. Oh and Alex didn't throw a ****ing TD to our putrid WR core all season. Suddenly were 21-24th? ROFL give me a ****ing break. USA Today sports writers need a snickers because they're reeruned when they're hungry. I just made a bet with my Raider friend who thinks they'll have more wins. ROFL

So let me guess....most of you are able to predict the Chiefs every year correctly? You've never thought they'd do better than they actually perform? Like 2 wins in 2012? What about the 10 wins between 2007-2009, you guys peg those years too?
