I hope both games get delayed until Monday night, when I won't have to cuddle with the gf any more and will have free reign of the TV.

She's a die-hard As fan btw. She said we needed to "take a break" after the WC game. She came around in a day or so. But I'm still not allowed to bring up baseball. Well I can bring it up but she immediately gets quiet and weird if I do.

A day game in New York and two night games in KC...it's possible. I bet Salvy will be behind the plate for all 3 too.

Tell your girlfriend that since Aug 10, including playoffs the A's are 30-61

And that over that same stretch (since Aug 10), including playoffs the Royals are 65-38 (and 79-41 since July 22)

That sounds like a bad idea. She can probably retaliate in ways he wouldn't like.

Bowser 05-23-2015 10:52 AM

I was wondering if they had the authority to move the game up by an hour or two. The hour-by-hour forecast shows the storms showing up in the 8-9 pm window...

You can't go wrong with either right now. I might give the edge to Moose just for his defense. Carpenter has certainly proved to be a better hitter over the long haul, though.

If you want to get St. Louis fan riled up, ask who you would take between Salvy and Yaddy right now....

mr. tegu 05-23-2015 01:26 PM

It is definitely going to be raining tonight but it looks like the heaviest of it should hold off until close to when the game should be ending.

Yadi is aging. Can't stop time. But, his ability to call a game, his baseball knowledge and managing a pitching staff still makes him the most valuable catcher in the game.

He is going to be a great manager after he is done playing.

But, I do love Salvy.

Histroically, when we face a good pitcher for the first time, we struggle. Just like last night. We have killed Volquez when he was with Cincy. We know all about him.

Of course a fly ball pitcher like Volquez is a different cat in Kauffman with the large outfield, instead of a band box like Cincy.

It looked like mathena was calling the game early yesterday. Maybe he was just communicating about Lynn's possible injury.

The Cardinals have issued a statement saying they can not confirm or deny it as this time.

Just tried Devil's Cut, its about as smooth as I like it, you don't have to cut it much. I'll give it an 8. I've had better bourbon, but its better than the really cheap stuff so it occupies a pretty nice quality to price point.

I really like Knob Creek for the price point too.

Looking at the radar, once the rain gets heavy, the game will be postponed/ended. That is a huge amount of rain. KC already has flash flood watches.

We should get at least the first hour dry with the second hour with some sprinkles. We will just have to pile on the runs so they can call the game after give innings.
