Young and Volquez and Cards pray for rain...

Ceej 05-23-2015 11:24 PM

Have the Cards roughed up Ventura before?

I'm sure their fans can give us a scouting report.

TLO 05-24-2015 12:35 AM

DON'T RAIN OUT THE 1 GODDAMNED GAME I CAN WATCH THIS WEEK. KTHXBYE

kstater 05-24-2015 05:58 AM

So when is this gonna be made up?

I'm not positive but I think they have to actually call the game first.

The Cards are VERY FAMILIAR with Ace.

Hog's Gone Fishin 05-24-2015 06:53 AM

Looks to me that the rain is a little East

I only found one game he's pitched vs. Cards and he went 6 innings allowing 2 runs, and got the win. Don't know who the opposing pitcher was.

lewdog 05-24-2015 08:32 AM

Keep us updated on the rain please.

Three7s 05-24-2015 08:45 AM

Large area of rain between Wichita and Springfield heading northeast. If this game gets called, that will be why.

Every pitcher can have a bad day but, some consider him the best pitcher in the NL. He is the real deal. Natuaral talent. plays with passion. Continues to learn. He is the pitcher you want on your staff to stop a losing streak. In only his 2nd year(last year was a lost year) he is looking like a #1 starter. And the great part of him falling to us in the draft, it was the extra pick for Pujols who left for $20 million because he had his feelings hurt.

You rough up Wacha? Well done.:thumb:

Hootie 05-24-2015 09:07 AM

I told you guys the Royals were gonna go on a streak

Great Expectations 05-24-2015 09:21 AM

People consider him to be better than Kershaw?

dlphg9 05-24-2015 09:23 AM

I hate the Cardinals and their fans. Wacha the best pitcher in the NL? Lance Lynn is going to get a 200 mil contract?

kcfanXIII 05-24-2015 09:25 AM

Is this on fskc today or is it another national game?

Right now. That was the talking heads on MLB tonight. I don't think that. He is good but not the best.

KevB 05-24-2015 09:41 AM

Yeah, he's better than Kershaw, Bumgarner, Greinke, Cueto, Harvey, Scherzer, Zimmerman, etc. Wacha is a really nice young pitcher, but give me a break.

BigCatDaddy 05-24-2015 09:42 AM

Well, lets see how he does against an A league offense.

RealSNR 05-24-2015 09:45 AM

Do the Royals know Wacha?

God have mercy on our souls if we don't!

Just a JAG it appears.

Wacha is 0-1 with a 2.77 ERA in two starts against the Royals and 0-3 with a 3.60 ERA in six in interleague play. The Cardinals lost his first five starts against the AL before a 2-1 win at Cleveland on May 14.

mr. tegu 05-24-2015 09:52 AM

Unless something more severe develops past what will be moving through soon this game should be played. A delay is definitely in play though.

Yeah, I just looked at radar again, and there really isn't anything serious until you get to Joplin points south and west. Unless something develops between it or it speeds up, things should be fine. (the batch of rain heading in now should be out by or slightly after game-time.

KC's lineup is out, Ned's rolling out the usual today.

Weather forecast looks a little better, wind also not as strong as predicted.

He better get his K rate back up, or this run isn't going to last.

He's FAR out pitching his peripherals right now. Maintaining a sub-2.50 ERA with fewer than six Ks/9 is not really possible in this day and age.

Wacha' fastball/changeup combo is really nice, but he still needs to develop a better and more consistent breaking pitch to reach his highest potential.

Ventura dedicated this game to Duffy. That's why this is happening.

Dartgod 05-24-2015 12:23 PM

They've seen him a bajillion times. What did you expect?

KChiefs1 05-24-2015 12:23 PM

MLB players never escape. I must be better than them.
